Firstly the hosts, Mike and his son Steve. They, family and staff make sure that your holiday is everything you desire. Absolutely nothing is to much trouble for them so long as their guests enjoy their holiday. It would be difficult not to award Gumbo Limbo 5 stars.

I recently went to Belize for the first time with my girlfriend's family and Gumbo Limbo was the first place we stayed on the trip. Tucked away in a beautiful part of the jungle, this resort is perfect for anyone looking to step away from the pressures of life for a while. Mike and Steve are extremely accommodating and make you feel at home every day. They are literally two of the nicest people I've ever met and make amazing cocktails/meals! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauties of Belize!

This place is awesome, lost in the middle of the jungle, with a bit of luck you might see toucans and peroquets wild, there is also a small trail very nice and the pool very nice. The hosts are very pleasant, full of stories to tell!

This resort was fantastic. The hospitality was phenomenal as was the food. I'd highly recommend this resort to anyone. If you want to be treated like royalty this is definitely the place to go! A+++++++!

Loved our sanctuary. Excellent food. Accommodates easily also for vegetarians. Mike and Steven, the British owners of this piece of heaven are incredibly knowledgeable and fun and they really make this your home away from home. They will assist in any way they can to advise and direct you through the many available Cayo district adventures. GumboLimbo Jungle Resort is on Facebook and I highly recommend you check it out. If there was a rating higher than 5, we would rate them infinity, there really are no words. We feel this home away from home was the most fabulous place we found in Belize during our 21 day vacation. Belize it or not.

Can't recommend this place highly enough! The owners of this boutique resort are simply the best! The rooms are modest but spacious and comfortable, and very fitting for a jungle resort. The grounds, however, are simply gorgeous. Our group spent a few days on one of the Cayes and then a few days here and it really was an excellent way to have a more authentic belizean experience but also have resort-like amenities. Mike and Steve were wonderful at helping set us up with tour guides and making area recommendations. And by day 2 I was much better at driving the roads leading up to the resort!

I cannot say enough good about this place! The food was amazing, people were so nice and helpful and the resort was BEAUTIFUL! I normally stay at big resorts that are way to expensive and they just lose the personal touches… This Place was intimate and personal and absolutely perfect! Every night we had our own table set up just for us with the very best food I have ever had, wonderful drinks and a cozy, warm atmosphere! The pool was perfect for a relaxing afternoon with a good book and the room was enchanting! Best place to stay in Belize! You won't be sorry when you book here!

I wish I could give this place a million stars! Truly the most accommodating resort I think I have ever been to! Mike and Steve were so helpful and nice! The food was some of the best I have had anywhere and the location is inspired! It is a bit off the beaten path but that makes for excellent Jungle views! The pool is lovely, the drinks are fantastic and you will truly feel as if you are in the comfort of your own home! If you need absolutely anything, all you have to do is ask and Mike or Steve will find a solution for you! I highly recommend you make Gumbo Limbo a stop on your tour of this amazing country, You will be happy you did!

We had a wonderful time at Gumbo Limbo Jungle Resort. It's a little paradise out in the jungle with beautiful cabanas. Very quiet and peaceful. The owner, Mike, made us feel so at home and was very helpful with any questions we had. The breakfast and dinner at the resort were delicious. It is in a great location, in the middle of all the excursions and ruins that we visited. Would highly recommend this resort to any one wanting a little get away in the jungle.

This was a beautiful resort with an of peace & tranquility. Mike was a fabulous host. The rooms were nice. We had no idea it was a solar powered resort so there was no TV and solar lighting only. It happened to be the night of a big college game our husbands had been planning to watch so that was a big disappointment. We decided to stream the game but the Wi-Fi was insufficient and seemed to turn off at around 9pm so we retreated to our rooms. We all agreed this is a great place and could be an amazing resort but needed to be a little more forthcoming in its description. It has a nicely stocked bar but the "restaurant" was more like a Bed & Breakfast. They served one thing that night to guests. The food was great! But when I think of restaurant I think of ordering off a menu. This would be a fabulous place to get away from it all and relax. But I prefer going in to things knowing what I'm getting. Truth in description would have been nice and would have raised that last star.

Beautiful grounds and accommodations, great host. Peaceful, full of plants, trees and tropical birds. Get away from the noise of San Ignacio. Purchased dinners in their lovely patio dinning area very good, but a little on the expensive side ($25-$28 USD).

We came down the day after Christmas to the resort and couldn't have had a better experience. Everyone was super friendly and willing to work with our group of 20. We were taking a trip to Guatemala return the next day and they allowed us to leave some luggage on Christmas Day. We showed up a lot later than expected on Dec 26th and they still had organized the most delectable dinner and made us feel at home. The rooms were super comfortable, and the breakfast in the morning was exactly what we needed. It's a couple miles off the main road, but defiantly worth the small trouble to make it out there. I'd defiantly go back!

We stayed there in a large group on Boxing Day 2017 and it was the best evening we could have asked for. The staff were attentive and helpful and also very tolerant of such a large group.
Could not have hoped for better service or food anywhere in Belize. Thank you so much.

Spent 3 days at this resort. Excellent facilities and hosts. They cooked vegetarian food all through the stay. Difficult to reach, but worth it. Lots of birds around the area. Overall, a well run resort by the Hall family.
