Romantic place with excellent food.
➜ Unbelievable poor service. Had to wait for 2 hours outside on the farm during the Checkinphase to the owner, who kept me out by mobile phone. Instead of an apology, only arrogant self-adulation came. Wireless password was not available, room tiny, bed for each person over 1, 70m too short.
Owner made fun of German in the presence of other guests when I asked him for the second time in one evening after the WLAN password, so much I understood then.
Checkout wrapped the owner in the pajamas. That's how you pay €80. In the Serbian B&B for €10 the service was better and there was hot water in the shower, unlike the converted barn, which is sold over here as a residence.
Ghent is great, but this establishment should be avoided.

Beautiful 13th century mansion turned BnB near Ghent. Owners are English speaking and very friendly. The rooms are very clean and unique. The mansion is situated on several manicured acres surround by trees in a small village a short bus ride from downtown Ghent. They even brew their own beer using the original 700+ year old recipe. Amazing experience. We will be back!
