Extremely poor set of circumstances…. The staff were trying and very apologetic… so not blaming the staff …. But…. 1. X3 rooms booked in January …. For 3rd Feb…. Deposit of £50 paid …. Check in from 3pm2. Arrived on 3rd at 3pm…. Advised that only 1 of the 3 rooms are ready …. The other 2 rooms would not be ready until 7:30pm…. Staff apologised …. So we cram into one room and head out 3. Come back at 8:30pm… 2 rooms still not ready …. 4.9pm 2 rooms ready …. One was meant to be double, one twin … we get both doubles 5. The final twin room isn’t available until 10pm6. We were given 2 different reasons for the delay and mix up 7. We were offered complimentary drinks for the inconvenience…. 4 drinks for 5 people which makes no sense … had to argue to make it 5 drinks! Whilst the staff were apologetic… there was no proactive recognition that this deserved some form of compensation…. After arguing with the manager on the phone who refused to come out, managed to get £20 off a bill of £300 …. Overall… I liked the staff, I liked the standard of hotel, breakfast and pool was great …. But the way the issue was handled was poor … particularly by management.
