Room quite large, very beautiful, well arranged and overlooking the lake. As for the hotel, there are nice places to settle. A terrace for breakfast and lunch and evening meals which is very beautiful with also a view of the lake (breakfast with lots of choice, both salty and sweet), all with a private beach 5 meters from the hotel, with paddle boards and small boats. Boats, train and city centre nearby. (5 minutes walk and you're there).

We were at a meeting and therefore only slept at the hotel. But nice staff, super nice view on the lake and in the mountains, right on the lake and really modern interior design. Gladly again.

This hotel is set in a prime location for all the lake has to offer. It is just a minute or two from the world famous Schafberg cog railway and it is a similar distance to board many of the ferry boats that can transport you to many villages around the lake. Our room (no 111) had a balcony with nice view of the lake & mountains (see my attached photos). The bathrooms were modern and spacious. The room was spotlessly clean! All the staff were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was varied and catered for all tastes from continental to sausage, egg and bacon and a wide choice of fresh fruit. The town is lovely — typically Austrian with bakeries, cafes and shops. Very pretty little town but very quiet in the evening! I would recommend this hotel. Great hotel for visiting the St. Wolfgang area. Approx 50 metres from cog railway and another 50 metres from ferry stop. It's about a 10 minute walk into the village centre. There are many cafes and restaurants in the village. Rooms are fine, each look to be individually decorated and of varying sizes. Ask for a lakeside view. Room 315 has a side lake view between the Strand hotel and the one next door. Large rain shower and Austrian twin beds pulled together. No air conditioning. Food was mostly great. Usual continental style breakfast with meats, cheeses, breads, fruits and yougurts. Great coffee. Sit at any table at breakfast time. In the evening, we were allocated a table for the duration of our stay. Menu items were selected at breakfast for the forthcoming evening. Food choices were mostly good. Dress policy for gents at evening meal. Hotel has a bar. There were a couple of evenings if entertainment during our stay but this stopped by 11pm. Some minor quibbles. Some table staff had limited English resulting in difficulty ordering evening drinks. Service for evening meals was sometimes slow when other evenings were excellent. At the end of our stay we had some noisy guests early morning and evening. They also smoked continuously on their outside balcony making it unpleasant for us. We had to close windows and doors (thankfully it had cooled by then). Overall, excellent hotel, well worth the stay with great views from the hotel and the local area.

Good hotel good food very friendly staff and the location is also great, short stroll to the main village centre and lovely views of the mountains and lake.

Beautiful location and views surround this hotel. Kept spotlessly clean and easy waking to town about seven minutes. Stayed six days in July and would certainly recommend.

Very impressed for the hospitality from all Hotel staffs especially Clemens Vogler, the Owner of hotel to join playing music with us. (We bring Guitar in the trip)
It's like you stay here and have holidays with your friends & family.
All Hotel rooms are very unique! We are together with 32 people. Everyone's room are different decorations. Outside hotels looks very local Resort decorations but inside all very moderns! The dinner was very nice, we love Trouts from the lake. Very tasty with Rose Wines or Beers! In the morning, we can see very nice natural scenery of Wolfgangsee from our room's balcony!
We will be back again to stay at MARGARETHA Hotel at Wolfgang.
