Was looking for a traditional feel and definitely got that, and then some. The rooms were quaint and the bathrooms were nice and spacious. Though the furniture seemed very outdated and stained. The breakfast buffet was small and not much variety for a 4-Star hotel. The pool and sauna were okay, though they were not always open at the posted time they were supposed to. However the walls and curtains did have lots of dead mosquitos and we quickly learned why. Because there was no AC the rooms were very hot, so we opened the windows and quickly realized where all the blood marks on the walls came from. There were dozens of mosquitos in the room within minutes. We could not open the windows after that and spent the remainder of the night hunting mosquitos. You could also hear others doing the same too, definitely laugh worthy at this point minus the lack of sleep. It was definitely a countryside camping experience, though the mosquito problem could be easily fixed with window nets! Lets just say the pictures on their website are using a few filters and make this place better than it actually is, not quite 4-Star value.

I was told that I have to handle the procedure with the voucher online! After the settlement, the desired birthday was repeatedly rejected, although this would be free by telephone!
All wish days were no holidays and sometimes several months later!
Never again! Will not recommend this hotel to anyone!

The waiter could not give us any information whether the dish is gluten-free.
A part of the cladding was missing from the ceiling.
Suddenly the waiters started to wear chairs from the room!
The food was good but very small portions. Vegetables were missing from the grill plate. And the long sausage didn't fit either.

Very much in the years. Many defects. Restaurant usually closed. Breakfast poor. Juice tipped, coffee warmed up and unpalatable, waiter asks how to make scrambled eggs. Bacon from day to day less, crispy you don't know there.

The room was clean. We missed a list of TV programs. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast buffet left no wishes open. We booked the Silvesterpackage and this was absolutely OK from price performance. A quiet hotel for "activities" in the Salzburg area highly recommended, as a very good bus connection and a very close bus stop. No problem with dog taking. We would love to come back.

4 star hotel, not even close to hotels that are equipped. The restaurant did not sleep for one night and the rooms were full of mosquitoes. If you already live in the village then make sure that the guests are satisfied. The breakfast was ok.

It's not. 4 km from Salzburg. More like 20km.

Excellent restaurant that offers typical Austrian dishes… very good meat since they also have their own butcher.

Great hotel with restaurant and outdoor garden.

We sat in the small beer garden. The service was friendly and accommodating. The prices are fair.
Our steaks ordered as medium and have served also as they get.

Positively dreadful experience. Dusty rooms with minimum facilities provided for, including lack of decent internet connection in the room. When we tried to have the hotel room changed, we were rudely dealt with and charged for our stay despite being promised that we wouldn't as we were forced to leave due to the horrid amenities. They did not deliver anything they were supposed to. Made our trip to Salzburg a very bitter stay.

Walserwirt is really bad. Really. When we booked our room we were not informed about an Austrian village fest that should start the arriving date. Typically an Austrian village fest can be summarized as drinking, loud bad music, and even moore drinking, paired with racism and eventually violence. We asked for changing the rooms, as ours, not cheap do, were on the very side of this fest. The owner refused. Her argument was that would be young, and we could easily stand it. Of course we then left the hotel. Telling that it can't be true, and we will not consume it. Of course she fully charged us. Really an horrible hotel. Please, do not trust the ratings. Or critically read them. There are some that indicate it. Summarized, it is a unfriendly place, and a terrible cheat.

Great food and exceptionally friendly service — incredibly attentive and very personal. So I would like it also in other economies.
