Burg Bernstein Hotel

Very interesting tour of the Castle, beautiful garden and to top it off an excellent coffee in the knights ' hall! Very recommendable destination in the beautiful southern Burgenland.

Castle amber radiates peace and harmony, the very special ambience, the Hotel in the Museum is unique. The plant world, with a lot of love well maintained, is a special experience. In the courtyard we were welcomed with particular kindness, welcome, THANK you!

I would have liked to get to know the distinctive castle, which is perched on the hill, from the inside. A strained rope and a sign "Access only for hotel guests" unfortunately prevent you from doing so. The approximately 300 m long avenue with dreamlike bathing stock arouses great curiosity for more. An island of tranquillity in the hectic time invite you to linger and marvel. Powerful castle walls and Wikipedia underpin what I hoped for and expected! Pure history, legends and a never one-genome castle make the heart of a castle enthusiasts beat faster. 5 stars plus! I was so fascinated that I even forgot to take pictures! I would also have liked to pay EUR 50 admission to get to know this bastion as a tourist, so only 4 stars. A few kilometres away there is a viewing platform next to the road. From there I look back at the dreamlike natural scenery and enjoy the sight of the breathtaking picturesque castle. It was a beautiful day!

Beautiful castle, with a nice view on the surroundings. Unfortunately you cannot visit as it is a hotel.

Burgenland hospitality paired with sensational service and great environment: the charming owner, descendant of the last owners of Almasy, and her husband armed with dry humor personally worry about the well-being of their guests. 3 course evening meal prepared according to desire to abundant Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt Breakfast, which leaves no wish unfulfilled, a lovingly designed garden to stroll, one hundred Orignalgemälde forget fast modern times. In short: The atmosphere of the middle ages without sacrificing comfort. Heart, brain and soul: what do you need more.
