Great staff nice room good kitchen. Good price performance ratio. An absolute must for hikers.

Very nice Location. All brand new and clean and still in traditional Style. Food very good, People friendly. Nice Playground for Kids. The Menu in three Languages already shows that Tourist-oriented people are thinking here. Parking costs more than 1 Hour. Food Prices slightly higher than normal. But good as I said. You have a great View of a Waterfall and the Mountains all around.

Tourists oriented stop. Higher Price level. Average Service.

Madness what the Tauern House has offered us. Although the company had already closed, we were allowed to stay here. We were also fed with all the rules of art. Thank you, without you we could not have made the ski tour high Tirol!

Parked there at the gravel parking lot for 3:14 hours to hike a little into the valley. This costs 5, 00 Euro parking fee. Too much. You'll be mistaken for Venice.

For me, the Cathedral Matrei Tauern House is the first choice to experience mountain sports from the most beautiful side.

We were there for dinner, and it was a nice surprise. We tasted soup and ribs, very good. We also took a night walk on the snow. To try!

About. I would pay that much in the city centre of Graz in the short-park zone. Please consider your tariffs again, 5 euros for just over 3 hours is really not compatible. First there is still a big 1 hour free. But then the tariffs are rising exponentially.
(P. S. Understandable that then some of the 200 meters continue to enter in order to stand at the so-called "adjacent" parking lot in front of the Kuhgatter free of charge. There was no LZ mark to be found among these "neighbours"…)

Very nice historical Alpengasthof at the entrance to the national Park Hohe Tauern. Hospitable, good kitchen, newly renovated rooms ("Säumerzimmer", "Gschlößzimmer", "Almzimmer"). Wonderful location to Relax in winter as in summer. The starting point for ski touring, snowshoeing, skiing, sledding and cross-country skiing in the Winter; walks, mountain and Alpine tours in the Winter. A classic Tourenstützpunkt, even in terms of traffic over the whole year the Felbertauernstraße is reachable.

A cozy hostel in the middle of the most important natural park of Austria. Good price for the accommodation to see the beautiful landscapes that surround it.
