We have travelled extensively, across various continents. Never before have we received such a welcome as in this hotel! When we can no longer stand human contact, we refrain from providing reception.

Very disappointed, I had left with a groupon offer and the services were not at all up to par. No one with a very unpleasant welcome, not smiling barely arrived already want to leave.

I had a quality weekend. The amenities and common spaces are very manicured, the balcony of the room amazing… some details of the room a little less or better a little dated. Great restaurant and bar service.

Very nicely rebuilt. It has always been a dream place. I also ate very well.

This was my first stay at Villa Postillon and my first holiday at Lake Milstätter See. I have felt very comfortable in this house and within a radius of 100 km many beautiful activities can be carried out (Cheppa Gorge! ).
What I liked:
+ very nice XXL balcony with a magnificent view of the lake and the mountains!
+ Free use of the sunbeds and rowing boats
+ Bathrobe and bath bag are available to the guest in the ZImmer
+ regional and very tasty cuisine
+ homemade jams and "eggs" bar at breakfast
+ quiet

Suggestions:
— at check-in I would find it helpful if a short briefing on the offers of the hotel is given (bike rental, rowing boats).
— I didn't realize until the third day that there was a coffee machine behind the breakfast room and the possibility to get juices. Here, too, I would like a brief briefing.

Conclusion: I highly recommend this House!

Very friendly welcome, beautiful house, food excellent — staff insanely friendly (from maid to boss), view from the room gigantic — there is nothing to complain about — can be recommended without restrictions.

As a regular, I don't have to write too much about it here anymore. So far, the Hotel Postillion had already come a bit in the years, but the conversion has taken the hotel to a new level.
The food was excellent before, especially the local cuisine stands out here (one of only four pure eagle owners! ), which offers a really pleasant change in today's "one-size-fits-all kitchen. "
The staff and ambience are very familiar, but without becoming careless. The own lake access is unique in this location anyway and is really fun especially in summer (but also at Easter or autumn). Getting up in the morning and jumping into the lake before breakfast once is just cool! So all this remains so I will certainly continue to go on holiday there!

Ich hatte das Vergnügen bisher zweimal Urlaub in der Villa Postillion direkt am Millstättersee zu genießen. Das familienbetriebene Hotel hat einen super Blick mit direktem See Zugang und Berge im Hintergrund, leckeres, abwechslungsreiches Essen, möglichst Lokal produziert (frisch geangelter Fisch aus dem See! ), sodass wir gar nicht wussten wo wir anfangen sollten zu schlemmen. Die Zimmer waren sauber, die schöne Holzsauna direkt am See verleitet dazu, zur Abkühlung in den See zu hüpfen. Der Außenberiech mit seiner Südlage liegt perfekt bis zum späten Nachmittag in der Sonne, sodass man gemütlich draußen sitzen kann um Sonne zu tanken. Das Personal hat uns freundlich empfangen, sodass wir uns auf Anhieb wohl gefühlt haben und sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal dort waren.

Fantastic location on the lake with private beach, restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Family atmosphere, many regular guests.

Now we were actually the first guests in the "Bivouac under the Star tent" opened since June. This dwelling is located on the grounds of the hotel with its own veranda directly on the lake.
This is a new concept of the local tourist board and there are various locations of bivouacs around the lake.
This accommodation is not comparable to a hotel room. It is special and there are important differences to a standard accommodation. First of all, the furnishings are spartan. A room entirely in new wood (beaten from the surroundings) with bed and windows in the roof, Glass door & front to the lake, little storage space and no TV or similar.
The adChemiekloing room houses the washing bowl and a wash basin without running water. In the 50m-away sauna on the premises, the toilet and the shower can be used, the breakfast is taken at the hotel.
This sounds very much like camping at the campsite, but it is quite romantic when you get into it.
We had booked the bivouac over secretescapes including picnic basket, which was really special & delicious and filled with local specialties. On the veranda by the lake with a sparkling wine and delicious bread… that has something.
And at night through the roof windows over the bed to look at the sky, also can not offer any hotel or the direct view of the water from the bed.
The arrival (including parking) was straightforward and the lady of the House took great care of her guests.

Wi-Fi only in the lobby, food tastes like nothing, kitchen understaffed, TV without remote control, main entrance blocked, lift only for cleaning lady, no room for suitcase in the room, no soap in the bathroom,

Rooms are clean food is good and the view is great. Location is central and very nice with direct access to the beach.

Vacation unfortunately short but wonderful. Excellent service. Excellent welcome. Eating really good … and don't miss the dessert buffet … a 10-metre long table full of sweets! Extraordinary. The Salon for dinners … be seems a princely room … I have no words. The kids ask me every day when I get back …
