Beautiful ambiance, upstairs restaurant had a beautiful relaxed atmosphere, food was excellent, had the steak which was perfectly cooked and my partner had the salmon which was in a sauce to die for. Highly recommend Carl Masonmill.

Had dinner here last night, food was bloody great and the service was fantastic.

Company gave us a meal allowance which according to hotel staff didn't exist and we weren't allowed to use.
Was then told mess closes at 8.
Had dinner at 7:50 first two nights after being told not to eat before 7 as we weren't allocated dinner till after 7.
Third night went in at same time (7:30) and was told kitchen's closed and never stays open past 7:15.
Poor selection of food.
Wi-Fi doesn't work.
No washing powder.
Were then locked out of pub while locals were allowed in.
We were quite polite about the whole thing so there was no reason to be locked out in the first place. Multiple other contractors with the same and other complaints.

The most amazing steak I have had in my life highly recommend, great atmosphere and great staff 10/10

Had the yummiest lunch at the Palace today! And the place was packed! So good to see so many visitors in town enjoying the great service!

Lovely staff, great food and a nice drop or two. Happy to stay here overnight.

Liz and the bar staff went above and beyond their requirements to ensure my children and I were catered for in every way during a stressful few days. We are forever grateful and will definitely be back in the near future. Can't reccomend them highly enough.

A historic hotel who wased in 1912. We are stay ing in an ensuite beside the main accommodation building, who is cozy and clean. I can also also step out easily and walk into the open space with natural views. Third visit to South Cross, stay at this historic hotel. The hotel restaurant has delicious food and a large collection of red wine. The rooms are clean and comfortable and we love the open natural spaces around the hotel.

This place is fantastic. The food is amazing portions are huge! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer.

Great place with great staff — place has come a long way from what it was a few years ago.

Ended up staying around the back in one of the donger houses. It was a roof over my head from the weather and the bed was comfy enough. Can't comment on the food or the inside rooms since I didn't involve myself with either. There was only one staff member serving anyone and it was taking far too long so I went elsewere.

5 star pricing at $98 for a single bed Donga, TV doesn't work, aircon sounds like its going to fall out of wall! Meals very expensive! After travelling OZ for a month staying in pubs, this place is expensive!

Great place, great bar, great food. Beautifully restored building. Everywhere clean. Would highly recommend if passing through Southern Cross.
