We spent a couple of nights after Xmas at Warburton motel. Very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms with thoughtful touches and local artisan products. Although the motel was full, it was very quiet and peaceful. Great base to explore lovely Warburton and the surround. Highly recommend a stay at this gorgeous motel.

Absolutely fantastic base to explore Warburton and the Yarra Valley. Richard & Simone are the perfect hosts. Spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms and lockable bike storage was a bonus.

Love love love the The Warbuton Motel. Highly recommended! Visited with my partner mid week in November for some road cycling and post Covid lockdown chill time. This place didn't disappoint. From the lovely owners Simone and Richard who were really welcoming and friendly and gave us great advice as to the ins and outs around the area to the oh so 'too cool for school' tastefully renovated retro 1960s inspired clean fresh and tidy room (superior queen on second level) complete with lush views and a front and back door. Entry to the property and parking was easy and we were able to store our bikes in a safe locked storage room. The motels gardens are gorgeous and have plenty of outdoor garden seating, hammocks and even a couple of fire pit/chimineas to enjoy. Location was perfect for us with the start of Mt Donna Buang Rd just out the front and a short stroll into the main street along the riverwalk — a must do. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely Motel in Warburton. Thankyou for providing a such great service and an awesome vintage inspired accommodation option in Warbi. Special note to cyclists — This IS the perfect place to stay when exploring all of the awesome riding that Warbi has to offer and perfect as a basecamp for you next adventure.

The room had a 70s feel with a makeover The bathroom for his old it is was absolutely sparkling clean! Room was the same we stayed in number 10 had a little bar & 2 stools out front on balcony! Bed was comfy room great and gardens and surroundings just gorgeous. Cannot wait to visit again.

Our second stay at the Warburton Motel and once again I’m absolutely amazed at how meticulously Richard & Simone care for this relic. Upon arrival you instantly feel the 60s and 70s vibe, the look of the place, the aura and of course the kombis. You look out at the stunning surrounding mountain views and instantly fall in love with Warburton and the motel. The rooms are spacious, clean and has everything you need for a great stay. Beds are comfy, rooms are warm, fridges are cold, showers are great and the garden outside is beautiful. This place ticks every box. Both hosts are super welcoming and add an extra warmth to the motel. There is something so special about this town and this motel. Highly recommend staying at the Warburton Motel. It wouldn’t be easy to maintain a 60s motel while having current features but the owners have nailed it. Will be back soon!

Love this motel. We’ve stayed twice and will be back again. Vintage charm but clean, warm and comfortable. Richard is a terrific host. Lovely bloke with lots of info about the area. Also perfectly located at the base of Mt Donna Buang which was great for us getting up to the snow early.

Very noisy guests on the floor above us at 5:15am and every little milk carton we opened was lumpy so couldn’t even have a coffee. Bathroom was very old fashioned wouldn’t want to be any bigger than I am or wouldn’t have been able to use the toilet.

A lovely stay at the Warburton Motel… room was comfy and host was great. Would stay here again and recommend to all.

This is the BEST motel of its type, I have ever stayed at anywhere in the world. Literally. The owners are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the local attractions, places to eat and things to see. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the beds are comfortable. The rooms are also very quiet. If there was a five star resort in the area I would still choose to stay at the Warburton Motel. It's that good.

Well what can I say? … From my first meeting with the lovely Simone until I checked out I had the most glorious and restful time… Simone was more than happy to show me all the improvements since my last stay, and they were many! … Loved the manicured gardens and furniture… Loved the new beds, linen and electric blanket… Loved the awesome warm and glowing fire… Loved the new curtains which made the room nice and dark for sleeping and loved the little tealight candle which was supplied… even had matches to light it.! … Room was scrupulously clean… Amazing job on sprucing up this lovely old gem of a motel… It definitely wont be as long between visits now… X.

We had our wedding in Warburton last week and we stayed at the Warburton Motel. We CANNOT recommend this place highly enough❗️It was cosy and comfortable. The owners, Simone and Richard, they put a lot of efforts to bring up this place but the same time they still kept its personality. They were EXTREMELY accommodating, responsive and friendly. They made our big but stressful day so much easier. Love their beautiful garden, both day and night. A perfect place to hang out with friends and families. Not just us, our guests had a wonder stay as well, especially after an exciting night. Please come & stay, cause you will love it too! It's a true hidden gem…

A very clean motel, lovely gardens and close to the Yarra river for a shallow paddle during Summer. Manageress is very friendly and polite, but not intrusive. A great place to use as a base to explore everything Warburton and surrounds has to offer.

We had a fantastic stay here. The Hotel Manager was super friendly, easy going and couldn't be more helpful. He knew the local area really well and gave us lots of tips on things to do, particularly anything to do with cycling and walking. The hotel lounge room is like a travel back in time to the 70's, perfectly preserved and very relaxing. Hotel rooms were quiet, clean and functional. Lovely gardens too. Highly recommended.

Once again my visit to Warburton didn't disappoint, only this time, Richard and Simone (the wonderful new owners), made my stay much more enjoyable as they've really improved the facilities and laid out the 'welcome mat' that you have to experience if you're in the area. As a cyclist, I highly recommend it as a bike friendly motel. I'll definitely be back. (and love your sense of humour Rat, classic). Didn't get to say goodbye, but cheers guys. PhilM.

We were warmly greeted by the owners on the Motel late on a Saturday night as we were late getting in. They were super nice and friendly and really accommodating to our requests for a late checkout. We were super happy to find out they had put the heater on in our room prior to arrival so it was toasty warm when we got inside. The furniture in the room is retro chic which is pretty cool (if you were in Fitzroy you would be paying double for the experience). The bathroom was so clean it was sparkling and you can tell a lot of effort has been put into the cleanliness of the room overall. The balcony looks like an awesome place to hang out on a warm summers afternoon so we will definitely be back!

Food was excellent, there were lots of different parmas to choose from all were huge meals to.

Can't thank Simone, Richard and Rat enough for their warm hospitality. You guys are doing such an awesome job with the place. It is looking amazing. Our room was great. Beautiful view. Loved the eco-friendly toiletries. Spectacular gardens. Rat certainly has a green thumb! The communal room certainly was a hit with the piano and its retro ambiance. What a start to your new adventure Simone and Richard. Bloody amazing! You should give yourselves a medal.

Absolutely lovely town with great sights, yes the rooms are older and dated, but the beds are comfortable, the shower is hot, it's one of the rare pet friendly hotels (why I picked it) and the owners have been great.

Very disappointed with the room and the owners, the rooms were nothing like the pictures on the internet! The spa was falling apart and we were told by Franz that is was normal! Had an argument over the amount owing as his wife was in his ear! The doors wouldn't lock etc. Beautiful town, but I'd look elsewhere for accommodation!

Great price for comfortable simple accommodation. Our hosts were very helpful. I had my mountain bike with me and was able to secure it overnight. Clean, good hot water and basic cups kettle etc. Terrific location for cycling up the hill out the back and onto the O'Shannassy Aqueduct… thanks for the tip Franz! I did the loop back down Dee Road and along the rail trail… a perfect afternoon cross country cycle!

Disgusting. My room must not have been used for awhile judging by the dead insects and daddy long legs living in every corner and crevice, Bedspreads badly stained with food on them, a huge turnoff that made me feel sick. The old fashion square sheet toilet paper on the wall like what you would see in public toilets. No chains on the doors which made me feel unsafe. Don't be fooled by the lovely photos of the grounds offering three acres of nice gardens when there is rotten lemons a grapefruit on the ground everywhere, they could have been picked up as soon as they fell of the tree and put in a basket to offer to arriving customers as a nice gesture, Owner was wearing a shirt that was worn and full of holes, These people take advantage of the fact there is not much accommodation around and charge way too much for what they are offering, I don't mind the fact that the rooms are old and outdated but I cannot handle filth. Owners have got too comfortable and don't make the effort, Go the extra mile or pay the extra price and go somewhere else.
