We had a 21st in the function room last night. It was fantastic. The staff, food, drinks, venue… everything was perfect! Thankyou.

Reasonable overnight rates, clean rooms and close to shops. Secure gate closes at night. Our stay wouldve been nice except for the absolutely horrible sagging bed (memory foam? ). The worst bed I've slept in ever.

Very uncomfortable bed. One of the staff parked in front of our rooms and left at 4 am waking us. Wifi was pricey.

Very nice people very very clean rooms but you have to pay extra for the Wi-Fi in your room very good location close to shops and beach restaurants five minute walk down the street and you're in the heart of the shopping center lovely people.

Have to say the best Aussie welcome glad we are still about. Best accommodation. And best bed. All you want if you stay. Highly reccommend boys breakky for breaky.

Room itself was nice but unfortunately management was not up to scratch. After so many calls saying for two nights they only booked us in for one. Not impressed.

Stayed last night in room 9. The mattress was one of the worst I have ever slept on. Virtually no sleep as a result of it. Have stayed in 100's of motels. Everything else was clean and fine. Told hotel operator and he said he would "inspect the mattress". Definitely needs immediate replacement.

Neat and spacious rooms. Cleaning staff need to take a bit more care cleaning tho.

Verry nice people, clean, comfortable rooms in a great location. Easy walk to shops an restaurants.

Considering we only really wanted a nice bed and shower my expectations weren't very high, considering price and amenities advertised through the booking site we used. 'Happy' with the customer service and bed, didn't use anything else in the room (TV, fridge, etc). The real down to this cheap hotel was the shower, although I appreciate the hot water the nozzle was tiny and the pressure was hard enough to irritate a cut on my finger, and it hurt to be in the shower in general — not a relaxing shower.

E-mailed the owner via the website yesterday with the following enquiry: "Hello, can you please tell me if your Queen room has a desk in it? Thank you. " Received the reply "None of our rooms have a deck. " Confused, I then replied "Do any of your rooms have a desk? Not a deck. " and within 10 seconds got this back: "NO! THEY DO NOT! THANK YOU! " Ummm. Nope.

We booked a room for the night at this motel and paid the entire price upfront. At the time of booking we enquired about early check in as we were travelling to mornington for a 3pm wedding. We were told the early bookin would be fine, The woman explained that the rooms started to be cleaned at 10am and our planned arrivalof 10.30 should be fine, at the worst we may have to have a coffee while the room is finished. We contacted the motel on 20/09/2013 to confirm the early check in as we were travelling approx. 300 km to attend the wedding. On21/09/2013 we were running a little late and arrived at the Mornington Motel at 12 pm. Our allocated room was not cleaned or ready for us. We had 4 people who were planning on getting ready. When we enquired how long before the room would be we were greeted by a loud, abusive owner who informed me that he was doing us a favour letting us in before 2pm, He then went on to say that he would happily give us our money back as rooms in the region were hard to come by. We rang another motel down the road and booked a room, accepted our refund and left. The owner of this motel is rude arrogant and very unhelpful. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL TO ANYONE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! We ended up staying at Mornington on Tanti, A king sized spa room with an extra single bed was $15 dearer than the standard room at the Mornington Motel, The staff were professional and friendly, the service was first rate.

I have never been spoken to by a business person as I have by the owner of this motel. My experience was disgusting and it makes me so upset that people can be allowed to treat customers as this owner did me. After booking over the phone for 2 nights I was asked what time I expected to arrive and check in and I said around 7pm on a Friday night. I was never told though that they ask this because the reception shuts at 6:30pm (?! ) Given I drove from the city on a Friday night the traffic was terrible and I was on track to arrive at around 8:30pm instead. At 8pm I received a VERY abusive and intensely rude phone call from the owner demanding to know my whereabouts as I had not arrived at the exact time I had approximated. When I said I wasn't told the the reception closed at 6:30pm and that I didn't appreciate his accusatory and aggressive tone he proceeded to shout at me telling me he didn't want people 'like me' staying at his hotel and that I was not welcome to stay anymore. Given I had paid upfront and had received absolutely no information on their opening hours or any confirmation of booking fail etc I was flabbergasted that he was so unfairly and unreasonably aggressive. If I had realised you could not check in past 6:30 I would not have chosen this motel as that is not a reasonable time to get there from Melbourne after work. To then be rung and abused — and then left STRANDED half way to Mornington with no hotel was absolutely disgusting.
