We spent 2.5k on 2 rooms for 2 nights. We are also top tier members platinum almost and spent thousands with accor per year. I had one simple request which they are incapable of following. On 25/11 before we checked in I requested a detailed list of amenities to be left in my room and my friends room being dental kits, shaving kits, sewing kits, vanity kits, extra toiletries and so on. First they tried to argue that my request wasn’t doable and then when I countered by email they tried to say they were happy to do it but would charge me $4 per item. This would have left me with a $800 bill for free amenities. Absolutely petty and sad. So I said again I need my request done. I called them prior to check in and said check your emails and action my request. They said they would, on check in I checked again and they told me it had been done. Absolute liarsI get up to our rooms and in one there is the standard 1 soap bar for 2 people (how to survive with that) we had to call them for extras after they lied to us and couldn’t even shower until like midnight. Not to mention in one room there was no bathrobes and slippers and in the other there was one bathrobe and an empty pillow bag. The care factor of their staff is zero. I emailed them that night to say you can fix my request tomorrow when housekeeping comes. I also asked on the way out in the morning and manager lady was like i’ll look after this one. We get back to our room after a long day out and our request still isn’t done.

Great place to stay when you want to be in the city.

Highly recommend this place. Easy check in great car park and very friendly staff. Very modern and the rooms area spacious and modern.

As a quarantine hotel, it sucks. Especially the temperature of the food. Dinner was always cold.

First night in hotel quarantine and unorganized. Had to ring after 8pm to see if they were going to feed me and 30 minutes later gave me another breakfast bag and "not hot" rather aged pasta with a bread roll that wasn't fresh. Clearly it is all about covid.

Great hotel, brand new, nice and clean. Fantastic modern bathroom and toilet. Great city view.

Fantastic location. The bar in the lobby was a great place to relax and unwind. Facilities were great, and the room was really nice and well maintained. The only downside was the bed, which was not very comfortable.

One of the worst nights I’ve had in Melbourne. Things got off to the wrong start when I had to drive around in circles for 10 minutes waiting for a space to park the car and hand over the keys. Not a big problem for a business traveller but an issue for anyone local coming into the city. Check in was smooth enough and the elevators to the room were quick. The two rooms we had were clean and quiet. Looking forward to relaxing I lay down on the bed. That’s pretty much where the 3 stars comes from. You had one job, comfortable bed, fail. For the love of god stop letting accounting come with you when you choose beds. Two singles pushed together is not a king. If your staying here, sleep on the couch or the floor it’s more comfortable. Then as I tried to recover the next morning the shower kept changing temperature, I expect that from a budget motel in the country not from a Novatel. So 30 minutes later still stiff we all headed to breakfast. The food here was generally very good and a chef is on staff waiting to cook your eggs. Sadly the eggs have no flavour (bloody bean counters at it again) and the bacon was cold. So why 3 stars and not 1. The staff were fantastic, polite, helpful and very good at their jobs.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was amazing and it would have to be the best sleep in a hotel I have ever had the bed was so comfortable and I’m actually contemplating calling them back up to find out who makes their mattresses!
Would 100% stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone.
The small touches made it all the better, USB sockets in the walls, complimentary water, chromecast hooked into the TV’s so you can stream all your fave shows and the shower was insanely good.
The only thing I would do differently next time around is I would pay for valet parking. Self parking is in the DFO multi-storey next door and there is no direct access from the car park into the hotel and also no designated parks for hotel guests. A bit of a hassle if you have a lot of bags.

Excellent service! Everyone is always smiling and all staff go above and beyond. Stayed for 2 weeks with buffet breakfast and valet parking and I enjoyed every second. Very welcoming atmosphere.

Me and my fiancé stayed overnight as part of the team from New York Barbers for the hair expo at exhibition center, we enjoyed the friendly staff at both the reception and the upstairs restaurant, the breakfast buffet was amazing. The room was clean and complimentary water in the room and fresh fruit basket at reception a great touch to hospitality, We also enjoyed shopping at DFO and a night out in the city bars.

Would give you guys 10 stars if I could. Great place, great service, a special thanks to everyone on reception for making us feel welcome, especially Diana, Stephen, Zoe and Bethany who went to great lengths to make sure my business paperwork was sorted for me. Restaurant was fantastic, and a big thanks to Blaire, and the other staff/kitchen staff etc. Fantastic, we will be back.

A good hotel at a fantastic location. At times there may be a slight difficulty to dropping my car for valet parking due to the limited parking space on a very busy street. But in general, the valet parking people are attentive and available within a minute. The room is big and nice. However, the room was a big dusty and the pillows and sheets were not comfortable. The valet parking people were nice and friendly. But the reception people were cold and tired.

Novotel Melbourne on Collins had provided a very high standard of hospitality for our stay. We were greeted by the Concierge, offering Valet Parking. The reception staff were helpful, and the lobby was of a satisfactory size. The room was thoroughly clean, and had boasted a good sense of luxury and style with the good facilities available in the room, including a master switch next to the bed, two HD TVs, a marble bathroom, and more. Catering was excellent and flawless, even offering for breakfast Honeycomb and Lychee, along with an extensive range of hot and cold foods. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything was great, big room, gym well equipped breakfast nice and especially location top of the hotel, a few minutes of very good restaurants and close to all my guests.
