Review of Essendon Motel 3*

Worst hotel ever! late check in, free Wi-Fi And guest laundry are only things good about this place. Depressing run down neglected rooms with not even a telephone in them or cups cutlery bowls or plates to eat anything off but they have microwaves a kettle and and iron and ironing board. 3 1/4 used toilet paper rolls 1 x shampoo and a tiny round soap for the shower in the bathrooms mostly all of the rooms had same broken or leaking showers that flood half bathroom floor no baths. Woke up two mornings In a row to find a big black spider using the shower. Smell coming from toilets was horrid. Every morning the male cleaner wouldn't even knock just enter our room without permission earlier than or at 9am which was probably the most shocking thing I found as I was laying naked ontop of blankets due to the hot weather and wasn't impressed! The receptions excuse for the cleaner entering without permission so early was that because check outs at 10 and they want to clean the room! Precisely so why is he entering rooms at 9am without knocking? The price climbed up $10-$20 per day as the rooms got worse. Sign out front says spa rooms and restaurant open every day which is used as a junk room or rumpus room for the receptionist baby! No receipts were given for the deposit or room payments we made although requested them causing an issue at check out with the deposit amount being disputed as no receipt given leaving us short &10 from the $110 that was asked for as deposit for the room but it was that staff members day off and we were unable to prove other wise. This place is a joke and just plain awful to stay in my advice stay anywhere but here.
