The Miami Hotel is arguably the best in its class in Melbourne. The price is really defiant of all competition. The rooms are really super clean. The girls at the front desk are super welcoming. The kitchen and laundry are handy. I recommend!

The rooms are basic but modern and very clean. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. Only criticisms I have is that the AC system needs an upgrade, as it is remotely controlled and seemed to stop working and required a number of calls to the reception to reset the system. I’ve stayed in many accomodation places and never encountered an AC system like this! (The rooms got quite hot). Also some of the undercover parking spaces are a bit tight for a typical family sized sedan. (The outdoor spaces are bigger but all reserved for Utes and 4WD vehicles). Also be careful in the bathrooms as the shower surfaces can be quite slippery.

Have stayed here a few times & we love coming back there is no where else we would stay. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotless & cleaned every day & it is close to everything you need.

What I would describe as a low budget place to stay with everything you need. Rooms are smallish, but adequate, clean and comfortable bed. Nice little cafe on ground floor.

We stayed in two different units during our stay, both were a very high standard, immaculately clean. Excellent bathrooms, good water pressure in showers. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and shaving cream were supplied. Both units beds were extremely comfortable. The first few days we were at the front of the hotel, the last few days at the back of the hotel. Both rooms were noise free and quiet. A quick call to reception and room temperature was altered. It is an easy 10 minute walk to Victoria Market and the free tram zone. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Definitely will stay here again, fully recommend.

Great place stay when visiting Melbourne. Close to places to eat in North Melbourne, close to the tram and walking distance to Ethiad stadium. Rooms are comfortable and parking is easy.

Currently staying at this hotel. The staff are lovely and friendly, rooms are excellent value for the price, clean and equipped with all the necessary items for a short stay in Melbourne. Highly recommend for people coming to Melbourne for short stay shopping trips or similar. Lovely spot and the cafe attached has lovely staff, coffee and food. You really can't go wrong with this hotel.

One of the best service I ever experienced from years of travelling. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Rooms are clean and tidy every day. Location of the hotel is convenient as well, located a few minutes away from tram station.

Simple, clean rooms in a great location and reasonable price. King bed extremely comfy. Some road noise from some rooms, but not bad considering location. Secure car parking available for extra cost per day.

Nice staff with good service. The price really suits travellers with limited budget. Around 8-10 blocks to Melbourne CBD. Found some stain on the sheets n blanket on bed; no electric ports near bed.

The hotel is really nice, clean and spacious. The only inconvenience is that it is a bit far from the centre, about 15-20 minutes away.

Excellent hotel. The front desk staff is friendly and courteous. The room very clean, tidy and pleasant. The bathroom just big but very cute and functional. 1 block from the tram that in 5 minutes leads to the center. Totally just the price-quality relation.

Here is a great hotel for small budgets.
The room, still very clean, that I occupied was not very large but of sufficient size for two people. The bed was huge, it was at least two meters wide, I do not think I slept already in such a large bed.
The room was very well equipped with a small fridge and kettle, cups and glasses. The bathroom was very well equipped too, with a wall-mounted hairdryer, a pretty spacious shower and everything you could ask for at a hotel, such as shampoo, shower gel, Detangling, body and hand cream and even a foam dispenser Shave.
Even better, the hotel has a kitchen for guests with all the equipment necessary to prepare good small dishes, I even saw a Waffle Baker.
The hotel also has a laundromat with free access for guests, where for $7 you can wash and dry your laundry.
The reception is open 24/24 with a staff always available and smiling. I was fortunate in addition to being greeted by Georges, a francophone reception agent.
Small reproach because a complete criticism can not include only positive points. Free Wi-Fi, works with a valid code 24h. So you have to think every day to connect with a new code, distributed at will and free at the reception, certainly, but it's just a little restrictive to have to go out of his room to fetch a new code. This is a detail but it is the only negative point I have to raise.

3 stars for a 3 star hotel. Clean, convenient, friendly staff. Rooms are small, basic and minimal. $5 parking if you book directly.

It's 20 minutes ' walk from South Cross Star station. Even a train will take a detour. If the baggage is more or less suitable. The toilet is not very well soundproof. The rest of the equipment is complete. Starbus can be picked up at the airport before the hotel.

Very good value for money. The only downside was the inability to set or turn off the AC without going through the reception.

Room on the edge of a busy road with a lot of noise early in the morning. If you have a fragile sleep, forget it.
The rooms are small and look like boat cabs. Wi-Fi is limited and permanently disconnects. It is far from downtown 25 minutes walk.
The positives are: cleanliness and staff always nice and helpful.
Although the price is reasonable, we will not return here.

The name hotel seems to be a bit fehlinformiereden it is jeddoch a very good hostel.

Pros: Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned everyday. 24hr reception. Cheap. Convenient location near city/restaurants/etc. Cons: Rooms are too small for the number of beds fitted and smelt weird. Shared kitchen was dirty. No elevator so had to carry luggage several floors up. Room AC controlled by reception. Noise from some machinery outside the building (sounds like a compressor of some sort). Summary: Would I return? No! Especially since they charged us for damage that we didn't cause.

There was no elevator so not suitable for people with mobility issues. Definitely not suitable if you're coming for holidays or having guests over since the ambiance is very shoddy. The AC cannot be controlled by the guests. The biggest turnoff was the incompetent staff. They charged me for some previous damage to the room items. The staff seemed to be in a rush to finish their shift. Couldn't have late dinner after 10 pm as the kitchen is accessible for only a limited time during the day. Overall, I would say the customer service was really bad. Consider it only if you want cheap accommodation for a very limited time.

Location is great, just outside the city, right near the queen Victoria markets. A shirt tram ride to the city. This makes it really nice and quiet. Rooms are alright, nothing too fancy.

Basic hotel in reasonable location if you wish to be in North Melbourne. Cheap hotel with own bathroom, double bed and fridge. Staff nice.

Have stayed her a few times and has been OK until now. I'm no longer allowed to stay due to mental illness so they discriminate against people that suffer from mental illness I haven't caused any issues all I did was tell reception that I was going to call ambulance because I wasn't feeling well so the reply I received was I was no longer welcome to stay then when asked about refund I was short changed $100. So if you suffer from an illness then you won't be welcomed if you require urgent medical assistance then it won't be seen to be acceptable.

The room was quite clean. Not too spacious but that's fine. They have a communal kitchen which you can cook your meals. Good for budget travelling. Quite close to the tram station, however it is outside the free tram zone. Recommended and I think I will visit again when I stay in Melbourne next time.

Great hotel at 8/10 minutes from the center on foot… very small and uncomfortable rooms to fix your suitcases but since you just go to sleep we can not complain… Good Wi-Fi and very equipped communal kitchen…

Controlling room temperature from reception was not a good idea. Given room on the ground floor as requested, they gave me a free upgrade to a double room instead of a twin room, though there was no difference the idea was appreciated. Didn't allow me an early check in they told me the room was occupied. Hangers in bathroom needed, room 10 (where I stayed) near the laundry room some considerable noise (though I was out most of the day). No international channels. Bed and cleanliness were very good. No restaurant or bar. Allowed 1 hour late check out. Stayed for 4 nights from 9 to 13 May. Staff good, some need to smile.

Nice quiet part of Melbourne. Not too expensive too. Nearby supermarket about 5 minutes walk away. Simple amenities such as free daily Wi-Fi coupon for up to 500mb worth of data. Gave us $2 drink coupons for the first day too! Covered our first coffee the next morning. Could have better heating access as room was pretty chilly at night. Heater controls are centralized and controlled at reception, and any changes affects a few rooms at once. You need to inform the receptionist if you want to make any changes. Overall, good budget hotel and pleasant experience. Thanks!

The place was alright and close to the city. Staff was friendly. Didnt like the fact that the room fridge had no milk on our first day hence a lower rating. Rest is ace.

This is a very basic, cheap hotel that does a great job of catering for the budget customer. The rooms are small, functional and clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The communal kitchen was great for our large group.

Not too far from the CBD, Service was great but there was some damage in my room.

Very nice place! The staff here are very friendly and helpful! Rooms are clean, easy to use, and great breakfast in the downstairs.

I have stayed at Miami Hotel, at least five times now and will return again in the near future. The longest stay has been seven days. If you book direct you get the best price, plus free parking, plus free Wi-Fi, plus they'll try to accommodate to your needs. The rooms at the rear will lessen any road noises. The staff are friendly and helpful. Normally when I stay I tend to eat out but have used the kitchen/ dining room on the second floor; which is adequately stocked. Tram service to Melbourne is only 250 meters walk; while the North Melbourne train station is only 600 meters walk away. I would highly recommend this place. Good budget hotel — definitely the top 10 budget hotels that you can get in Melbourne. The location isn't that far either from major spot like Queen Vic Market. Unfortunately there are some construction project going on when I stay, so a bit noisy and uncomfortable sometimes. The only cons are centralized air con and sharing kitchen that could looks like nightmare sometimes. The attentive staffs and free Wi-Fi are the plus that can go a long way nowadays.

Like a giant hostel but clean, tidy, comfortable and reasonably quiet with incredibly friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We stayed there for 5 days in a doubleroom and everything was fine and clean. The stuff-members were really helpful and friendly as well. The Tram No. 57 departs just 50m from the Hotel to the City and you can walk easy to the Queen Vic Market. We would come again! Thanks :).
