Nice little motel and very clean rooms. Some inconvenient features.

Jennifer at the front desk was really helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean, everything works well, heated blankets are provided. Free parking is available and you can park at the front of your room should you choose to. The only gripe I have is with the bathroom shower, which wets half the bathroom because of the lack of partitioning just for the shower. Overall, I would definitely choose to stay here again if I'm in the area.

For a short stop at the 12 apostles with my partner, we found this accommodation as a one-day stopover for the Great Ocean Road as Port Campbell is the closest town to the famous "12 Apostles".
The motel-style accommodation (with parking in front of the entrance door) is spacious and clean and features a kitchenette and a small patio at the back. The owners are of Italian descent and have welcomed US cordially. I would say a good solution for a quick stop.
The Wi-Fi (free) did not have a good signal in our room, but maybe only because it was the most distant from the reception.
Advice on Rooms: If you are interested in Wifi, ask for a room not far from reception.

Portside is a nice motel but was very cold during our stay, about 5c outside and the heater couldn't really keep up. Close to the 12 apostles and other attractions, which worked great for our purposes. The room was equipped with dishes, microwave, mini fridge, kettle etc, just about everything you could need. The bathroom was fairly cramped and the shower spills water throughout the room, making the cold floor now wet and cold. Overall a very convenient and clean motel, great as a short overnight while touring the great ocean road.

Was good for a stop over after The Twelve Apostles. In general the town is tiny, and has very little — so don't arrive too late or you won't even get fed! The room was very good for the price, but was missing different cutleries, wasn't cleaned properly, and the reception for phones was super slow — so barely any internet connection.

Port Campbell is a nice place itself for a short quiet stay. However the portside motel that we have stayed is riddles with negative things. We have stayed here in July 25, 2015. The place itself is I think too pricey for the services you will get in the room for a MOTEL. 1) the electrical equipments needs to be updated. Equipments are old generations if the motel's aim is to save electricity getting newer generation is a good start. Otherwise hand dryer needs to be pressed continously to operate, reverse cycle's motor unit is shared with the unit next door. When we came its a chilly night, So whoever operate first will get continously air-if your second too bad your unit will constanly on and off. The reverse cycle itself is old-max temp is 27 "still feels no more than 20". Yes they have electric blanket but who would like to walk to the toilet in a chilly room? On hot days I am not sure how the reverse unit can keep up. 2) no quilt only blankets. Unless you are sleeping with a human heater is cold. 3) shower and toilet drainage syatem needs to be updated-floor is not inclined/angled enough. When you shower even with curtains closes water will flood the whole toilet/bathroom. 4) microwave is old, takes sometime to heat things up. 5) shower controls are of old style, separate controls for hot and cold. 6) im a TV person. I am not sure if it is the battery or the range of the remote control. I cannot operate the TV with a remote from the bed.

Stayed there last September during my road trip. Josie was wonderful thru the phone, and we knew it's going to be a great experience. Received an email closer to the date of our arrival telling us the important stuff that we needed to know. We arrive almost as the reception is closing. Gave them a call few hours before to say I may be late for check-in and Josie told me it's all good and the room will be ready by the time we arrive. And it is! Lights were on and the keys wer…e inside. Condition of the room is 10/10. Everything looks new. And love the wall! Free Wi-Fi is excellent and fast. And heating system is awesome considering the cold climate. The parking lot is just outside the room, like 5 steps away. You can see it from your window. John was great too! Left my iPad under the pillow and he emailed me to tell me that! We were already at Cape Otway when we receive the email! Kudos!

Very clean and cosy accommodation. Great and very nice staff. Good starting point to various attractions. Shopping facilities nearby. I would book there again immediately.
