This is a beautiful place a hidden gem the pool is amazing the rooms are clean the breakfast packs are so clever the staff welcoming best place I've stayed in a long time we will come back for sure. Thank you Ship inn.

What an amazingly friendly, cozy and clean place to stay at. It was like I had known hosts Paul and Jody my whole life within 5 minutes of meeting them. They couldn’t have done more for me and the continental breakfast was set up just as well as the city 5 star hotels. Loved being able to take a selfie with the cows nearby and having many late night laughs with owner Paul who we went out with at the local pub. If you liked being welcomed and made to feel at home then this is the place for you. Can’t wait to come back!

The staff were great, and I was happy with the breakfast options. Only let downs were a lack of good coffee and poor lighting in the room.

Beautifully maintained clean motel with friendly owners. Groups are welcomed. 15min walk to pub. Really enjoyed our stay here. The pool was refreshing after a day in the road. Full continental breakfast was most satisfying with plenty GF options included. Cooked breakfast option also available for a few extra dollars. Beautiful destination yarram with stunning Tarra valley close by.

Unique place, there’s nothing else to say. The place it’s quite old, but it got a charming thing that makes you wanna stay forever. The welcome from the receptionist/manager was lovely. It’s a cosy place that I recon to sleep in.

Proprietors very friendly without being "in your face" and very clearly see customer service as a majorly important part of running a motel. Despite being an older place, it was great. The bed and bedding were spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, and the bathroom — while being older style — was also very clean. The included breakfast may not be extravagant (help yourself to toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, juice) but is exactly what hits the spot first thing in the morning. I absolutely recommend staying here, and intend to do so the next time I need accommodation around Yarram.

Had the pleasure of staying here with my husband last night. Highly recommend to anyone wishing for not only a fantastic place to stay but the owners are so welcoming and the breakie was great. We will be back.

Spent 4 nights here just before easter. The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was great and the breakfast included was all I needed. Thank you to the friendly staff here at Ship Inn for making me feel welcome and provid me with great sight seeing spot to go to. I'll be back again.

Went for lunch on Sat. Both me and Elle my wife had the open souvlaki and fries they were delicious, a bottle of Boags and a glass of Brown Brothers white wine for $32.50 all in. Excellent value. Jody and Paul were excellent hosts. Chatting and making us feel really relaxed and welcome. Definitely be returning.

On first going into reception the greeting wasn't warm at all. Received the key told us which number room and left us to find it on our own. The room was very dark and all the furniture and fixtures were very old. Paint chipped walls and furniture, TV old box set half the channels were in black and white. Heater didn't work and it was the middle of winter, they didn't believe us when we told them. Jeff the owner came and fiddled with the controls and said oh it's working now. I then told Barb and she came realised it wasn't working at all. I then had to ask for another room and she had to make sure that it was in working order before we could. Shower tap fell off when we used it. Walls had big cracks above shower, Milk stain in fridge and floor underneath, not cleaned at all. For the price they charged $95.00 for a night it's disgusting. I don't recommend this motel at all worst experience I've had in motels. We had no choice we were there for a funeral so had to stay. Never again.
