An amazing place to stay. The hosts have thought of everything! Bike lockup, bike wash, huge fully equipped communal kitchen/dinning area. Warm and clean cabins. Loved every minute here. We will be back!

Such a great place to get away to. Amazing to be able to hit up the mountain bike tracks and then come back to cabins that give you all the amenities you need. Both comfortable and in the best location, so much to do here — we’ve enjoyed the mountain bike trails, the wineries, the cheeseries and just simply taking in the stunning surrounds. Look no further, Blue Derby Cabins honestly has it all. Can’t wait to come back.

A great setup in the middle of the forest. Close to the mountain biking trails in both Derby and Weldbourough. The cabins were will equipped, clean and warm.

My wife and I stayed at Derby Forest Cabins with our baby daughter recently, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was more like an apartment than a cabin, with all the comforts of home (air con, comfy beds etc). We were so impressed how well appointed the cabins were. The view is top dollar and the amentities available in the gazebo make outdoor dining and drinking comfortable no matter what the weather is doing. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing bush getaway that's still close to a town like Derby that has all the basics covered. We will be back and look forward to seeing Gaz and his team again soon.

My stay at the Derby Forest Cabins was nothing short of amazing. The cabins themselves are full of very modern conveniences and are extremely comfortable. The gazebo area is a great place to mingle with others and sit around the fireplace.
The bike storage area, and bike work/wash station are top notch. Leaving your pride and joy locked in a secure place gave sound peace of mind.
The cabins are situated about 4km from the trails which offers a great little warm up prior to tackling the trails.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it to mountain bikers or nature enthusiasts alike.

The cabins are very well appointed, giving more than the comforts of home amid tree ferns and wooded forests. They are also perfectly located — you get away from the main drag of derby, and you have access to wicked dirt road climbs and the Blue Derby trails — by either a secret (steep! ) bush hill or a gentle dirt road warm up. Gareth was an attentive host, making sure we were well looked after and giving us the key local knowledge on how best to explore the area. He even took us for mtb trail rides through Blue Derby — connecting with some of the trail builders and enduro athletes as well. It’s been several weeks since I was there, but I still reflect back on my time there and smile. It was awesome. Yup, I highly recommend the Derby Forest Cabins, and can’t wait to go back.
