Ive not stayed here but come to do hair for guest on many occasions and the apartments are quite nice and decent size one thing today that really put me off is seeing how bad the air con filter was and how hot the room we were getting wedding hair done was. Not posting to make people avoid this place but more on⁸ the hotel to really keep ontop of such a simple room maintenance especially in the mix of a small heat wave. A service man came quiet quickly once the attention was given to reception but seeing it get done was very off putting.

Just had our first stay and will be back! Clean, comfortable and well appointed for a short or long stay. Suprised how quiet it was for a city location — barely heard a thing all night!

Beautiful old buildings well maintained. The courtyard is very pretty and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.

The good: location to the lion hotel for function. Also neat and tidy with standard facilities you would expect from self contained apartments. The not so good: a lot of the apartments don't have lifts so for your floor apartments you need to walk up stairs. No dishwasher or ducted airconditioning.

Receptionists were helpful, especially when we found that our beds (which were meant to be singles, were actually a king size). Apartments were not spacious per say, but were well presented and comfortable. Overall, a nice place to stay.

We stayed here whilst we were in Adelaide the apartments are spacious and clean. The only issue we had was possums in the roof of our room we advised staff and they did everything in their power to rectify the issue unfortunately the possums were playing games and couldn't be found to get rid of them. Apart from that I would highly recommend.

The Majestic Old Lion Apartments we very nice. Serviced daily. Staff very friendly. In a nice location. Free bus to city outside of building. Cost reasonable. Lion pub next door good food. Would recommemd to friends.

Nice place to stay, very modern and stylish design. Staff are polite and professional. Old Loin is also connected to the pub just a short walk down the road on the corner which is quite useful if you are in the mood for a few beers, shots, wines or a bite to eat and is lively at night. The only problem I found was the noisy possum in the roof which kept me awake and my wife at night for about 4hrs from about mid night onwards to about 5/6am over 3 nights. Nevertheless the location is not far from the bush/bushland so you kind of have to take things into perspective with the wildlife if you want to enjoy yourself without causing any drama to the local inhabitants/wildlife other than that the staf were very helpful sorting out the problem. 7/10 I would happily return to stay again in the future.

We stayed two nights after Barossa. We were quite happy about the level of service and friendliness from the reception staff. They allowed us to leave our hired car for an extra few hours after checkout, which made our last quick trip to the city possible (thank you! ) before heading to the airport. The room is clean and well appointed with nice decor, which is hard to find in most hotels nowadays. The courtyard is well maintained and adds a nice balance to the facility. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants around the premises, but it’s close to many city attractions. We now know where to stay when we visit Adelaide. You get a value for the money with this accommodation.

Great price lovely roomy one bedroom apartment beautiful grounds private and quiet — great bed and shower full kitchen easy free parking and wi fi and a lovely courtyard to look out to — reception — terrific — great access for us to medical appointments and relaxing meal at the old lion! Definitely on my permanent list! Especially when it’s a last minute booking — cost $140! Only down side was I didn’t get to see the see or our fam — but can’t have everything!

These apartments are in a good location for Adelaide. Not in CBD but close by which means parking with no daily charge. Park your car and get the free circular bus right outside. Very convenient. If you don't mind a walk the river is within 20 minutes stroll. Bars and restaurants within walking distance. Nicely appointed apartment with everything you need. Comfy bed. Others have reported noise but we didn't experience any. Would stay here again.

Book a 1 bed room was there slightly early and the receptionist told us check in was 2 pm but she was nice to let us park the car first and walk around. When back due to rain & she was nice to check if our room was ready and to our delight we will able to check in early. The room was clean & as stated self contained is just home away from home. Will definitely recommend anyone coming to Adelaide.

Stayed in a road facing 3 bedroom apartment. Noise was not an issue. Apartment had cooking and laundry facilities. Air conditioning was a wall unit in the lounge, this meant the bedrooms got quite warm overnight (it was a hot night). Good location for getting around. A 20 minute walk into City however parklands and zoo are closer. Lots of cafes nearby including hotels own restaurant.

Great stay in a neat and tidy, well maintained 2 bedroom unit. Being so close to restaurants and the city, yet away from the hustle & bustle made this stay incredibly enjoyable. Thank you!

Great access to the city and the rest of Adelaide. Free internet that is actually quick! Nicely sized rooms.

I am not personally staying there but the rooms seemed clean and the grounds are nice. The rooms are very standard and a bit aesthetically boring but functional.

Fantastic location — very close to Adelaide Oval, shops/cafes/restaurants on Melbourne Street, and the city. Stayed in a "large", "fully air conditioned" 3 bedroom apartment, which wasn't so large and only had one small split system head unit in the lounge; during summer it doesn't really cope. The beds are comfortable, the room waa clean, but the bathroom is too small for a 3 bedroom apartment. Customer service was fine, and all-in-all it would be a good spot to stay if you're planning on attending a sporting event or for a long weekend getaway.

Great place to stay. Highly recommend. We got upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment and it was perfect for the 4 of us.

Lovely. Upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment. No lift so we had to cart our suitcase up a couple of flights of stairs from the car park.
The apartment was quite spacious with a king size and really comfy bed.
Shower over bath but plenty of hot water and minimal splashing.
Loved that it had a washing machine (and even some washing power) we could use.
We were only there one night but would be very comfortable for longer stays.

Firstly, the apartment was wonderful; clean and tidy, comfy bed, warm and welcoming, all that one might want in short stay accommodation. Location is also a plus, close to cafes, restaurants, CBD, etc. Most importantly though the staff were just fantastic, special mention to Danique. There was an issue with my booking, a clerical error which caused me a great deal of stress upon check-in, however, Danique handled it like a pro and ensured that once I had returned to Brisbane the error was corrected and promptly followed up with myself and her Manager. The service I received was outstanding. I would highly recommend the Majestic Old Lion Apartments and will be staying there the next time we're in Adelaide.

WORST STAY EVER! Most expensive place I have ever stayed and worst. I do not recommend this place to stay as there was mould growing in the rooms and to top my night off someone in there secure car parking that you need a scanning sensor to get in stole my aerial for my car and the manager Sam won't do anything about it. Not impressed and will not be staying there again.
