We have just spent 3 nights here for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. What an amazing place. We had breakfast with water views on the back patio of our unit and afternoon drinks on the front patio with spectacular water views also. We were made very welcome and recieved an anniversary present on our arrival. Horseshoe Bay is just there. We had water sunrises and afternoon sunsets without leaving the resort. Such a lovely spot. Well worth it.

Great location friendly host great beach only 2min walk and cafe same. Views from rooms are also great. Well worth visit.

This was by far one of the best holidays I’ve ever been on! I’ve never felt so relaxed and at peace like this on a holiday. This Resort was absolutely amazing. Best location and with amazing views like this. I didn’t want to leave! The managers here Janet and a John where an absolute pleasure to be around. So helpful with everything about the resort and and great ideas to go exploring with kids. I honestly couldn’t fault this beautiful place at all. We enjoyed the wonderful view from our Ocean Suite 103. To wake up to this in the morning was the highlight of our stay. The room is also very well maintained and equipped with all the essentials. The nearby 'The Cafe' was a real bonus for great meal and live music. The locals are so welcoming too. Our stay was a highlight of our roadtrip from Melbourne to Port Douglas. We chose to stay here rather than Airley Beach — great decision!

Great place to stay, I travel quite a bit and have always stayed here, would recommend the place if you’re ever in Bowen. The managers Janet &John are lovely and very friendly.

Beautiful location — rooms are a little older but some have been renovated, either way they are clean and comfortable with good facilities and foxtel.

We had a great weekend this weekend. We met a friend on the beach (who was also staying there) and also discovered the Tapas Bar. Fantastic. We used to avoid Bowen because when flying a small plane we rely in Taxis. Unfortunately Bowen taxis were terrible and we were left stranded out at the airport three times. This time were given a heads up that things had changed. The new Taxi owners (since December) are fantastic and the service to and from the airport and the bottle shop was outstanding. Bowen is definitely a great place to discover 😁

Best sunsets in QLD! Hosts are very friendly including the cat! We enjoyed the mangoes given to us by the host — thank you so much ❤️

Friendly and what a fantastic location!

We love staying here anytime we can get away for the weekend. It’s the best place to go especially when you’ve got kids. The beach is a short stroll from the rooms. The rooms are well presented, well maintained and immaculate. Thanks for having us over the weekend we will definitely be back soon 😊

Had a great time. The room was really nice and comfortable. We were on the sunset side which was amazing. We could walk down to the little almost private beach which was beautiful. It was so quiet and relaxing. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

This hotel discriminates against disable people. They have advertised there site in conjunction with an online deal and refuse to give my mum a disabled room unless she pays above the deal rate — $150 a night for a room. It is illegal to change a person for a disabled room, by law the hotel is to cater for all people. Please do not support this hotel. I will be reporting them to disabilities Australia and the relevant government bodies that monitor hotels as well human rights commission and the ombudsman.

What a wonderful weekend we just had with you at Whitsunday Sands Resort. The view we had from our room / balcony was picture perfect and the onsite restaurant that we indulged in both nights offered some seriously delicious Indian! Very old establishment but still a lovely enough place. Direct access to the beach which is awesome. Room was well sized for a couple or one child.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean anf fresh every day. Horseshoe bay is a beautiful spot for swimming and snorkeling, overall a fabulous spot for a holiday.

What a top spot! The resort has access to either side of the point, great fishing off the rocks, boat ramp to one side & a beautiful beach, ocean views on the other. Clean, comfortable accommodation, so much exploring for kids, family friendly, loved it, will be back!

Have been stopping here for many years… tired but great staff/location and restaurant. Love it.

A wonderful place to stay. Very helpful office staff. We stayed in a motel style room and were very impressed with the amazing view of Grays bay. This property has beautiful gardens and all rooms seem to have water views. We will happily stay here again and would recommend to anyone for overnight or long term. We will be back… Thank you.

Very old room nothing like the photos, was woken in the early hours with ants crawling in the bed. Also had strange tasting water from the tap, the location is good though with some nice beaches nearby but definitely not 3 star accommodation.
