Very clean & comfortable rooms. Friendly owners. Just minutes away from the beach.

We stayed here after reading the reviews. We stayed in apartment 1 which was on a very quiet side road and contained everything you would need from a motel at a reasonable price. It is about 50 metres from a really nice sandy beach. Andre the owner is incredibly helpful and even drove us to and picked us up from the airport as we were going to Lady Elliot island during our stay. He also told us where we could go to see a group of kangaroos nearby — he will also take you if you don't have a car. Highly recommended.

Hervey Bay Colonial Lodge is well located, is spotlessly clean and has spacious rooms with excellent kitchen facilities, and comfortable beds. Their friendly staff go out of their way to make sure their guests are happy & comfortable. What a fabulous stay we had over a few nights after booking in a group of sixteen of us for a get-together. Value for money—nothing short of excellent! We even had a music night put on by the proprietor and his friend, which had some of us oldies on our feet dancing. Mind you the knees were the worse for that after the show! Thank you Andre & Ronaly!

We recently stayed at the Colonial Lodge along with 7 other couples. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Andre, who personally showed us to out accommodation. Aside from being great value for money, the rooms were spacious and spotless. The kitchen had a more than adequate supply of equipment and had the everyday bits and pieces of pantry supplies such as oil, glad wrap etc. We were extremely impressed. Andre and his wife are a delightful couple and nothing was too much trouble for them. If ever we are up in Hervey Bay again we would certainly book the Colonial Lodge.

We were warmly greeted by Andre at reception and he took us to our room (No 1), showed us around the property and gave us tips what to do and where to go. The room was very spacious, had a kitchenette with fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toast, everything to make your own meals. There was a living room with 2 comfy recliners, 2 sofas and a TV, and a separate bedroom and shower bathroom. All rooms with aircon. We only spent 1 night but you can easily spend more time here. Just one block / 3min walk to the beach, and a nice walk along the water to some cafes and restaurants. Andre also dropped us off at the airport the next morning which was a great additional service.

Friendly Efficient Service.

Would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a weekend away, stayed here with my family of 5. Theyre was plenty of space not to step on each others toes, has own stove and a big fridge. Love the little touches, like the towel folding with enough soap/conditioner for everyone and the home made folders of to do list/ and menus of what is near by. The staff is lovely and polite, and at a great price…
We will most definitely be back.

A beautiful location. Five minutes walk from the promenade and a convenience store across the road. Quiet area and a fabulous apartment with a pool. The owners were lovely as well.

The rooms were very comfortable and big — more like an apartment. The location was handy to all the places we wanted to visit. The main selling point for the motel though was the owners and the staff. All very friendly and helpful plus very interesting.

From the very first moment that we stepped through the door at the reception, we were greeted with a smile and a pleasant hello from the gentleman behind the desk.
We were shown to our unit and given a complete run down of everything in the unit.
Where all the restaurants and shops are, walking distance to the beach, answers to all our questions.
All questions answered with enthusiasm and a smile.
Great size, lovely, fully renovated, self contained unit with full kitchen.
Exceptionally clean and very comfortable.
We will definitely be recommending this place to our family and friends.
We will be staying here again on our next visit to Hervey Bay.

Great two night stay, comfortable and very very helpful staff. Great instructions on the local area, would 100% recommend. We took a flight to Lady Elliot island and it was the pinnacle of a fabulous stay in Queensland.

Very nice and helpful staff! Clean and comfy room! Very good value vor a nice price! Very short walk to beach and restaurants eben to a grocerie store! I recommend it to all people who want to have a nice and easy stay!

Clean amenities in good condition; comfortable beds and pillows. The motel had a swimming pool (also very clean) with outside rinse-off shower and a small area where a family or small group of visitors could sit outside. Located in a quiet area one street back from the Esplanade and within easy walking distance from shops and cafes. Owners very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at The Lodge from the 24th of August till the 28th 2015, My mother (Nellie) and I had the best time and Kay and her team were brilliant. The accommodation was also brilliant and so clean … everything had been catered for! Thank you Kay and I hope to see you again soon. :-)

Found this hotel by chance and found it to be not only great value for money but also immaculate. Beautiful pool area, big bedroom,. Nice comfortable lounge, self contained kitchen and a very modern bathroom. The owners couldn't be more helpful. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Hervey Bay area.

I highly recommended the Hervey Bay Colonial Lodge as a place to stay when your in the Hervey Bay area. My Family and I found the managers to be very friendly, helpful and caring. The unit was spotlessly clean and modern. It has a fully self contained kitchen, with a M. W. O. And gas cook-top and oven. The bedrooms are large and spacious, with a very comfortable queens size bed and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. The lounge room has a 3 seater and 2 recliners to unwind and relax in and a large screen, the kids especially loved the free Wi-Fi, DVD player, free movies and the I-Pod docking station. It was a bit cool for a swim, although the pool and BBQ area looked very inviting and relaxing. We stayed in several different motels on our holiday and the Hervey Bay Colonial Lodge was by far the most enjoyable and best value for money that we stayed at and we will be returning again in the near future. Rated 5 Stars as we could not have asked for any more.

This was our second stay and the friendly owners have continued their renovations. The motel is central, modern, clean and fully equipped. It will certainly be our accommodation of choice any time we visit Hervey Bay area and we have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

We stayed at Colonial Lodge for 3 weeks when we first moved to Hervey Bay. Great, clean comfortable accommodation in a perfect location, one street from the beach. Everything we needed was in the unit, lovely pool, and free Wi-Fi. The owners could not have been more helpful to us. We are a family of 4, and I would recommend Colonial Lodge to anyone.
