I was lucky enough to be surprised by my partner, a much needed relaxing weekend away, for our baby moon/my birthday. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were relaxed & calm. The food provided & made by Tamara was beautiful, you will not be disappointed. From the littlest of details of flowers, candles, chocolate, pastries, the incredible spa bath overlooking the rainforest & Lake Baroon & the privacy. We will definitely be back every year. Both Tamara & John are a powerhouse couple, so lovely and friendly. They’re incredible hosts and very accomodating of our needs. You will not be disappointed! ✨🌙

Took my partner up there for a weekend away and they exceeded all my expectations. We stayed in the maple cottage over looking the lake and it was absolutely stunning. On top of the room being amazing, the service from John and Tamara was exceptional, they made sure our stay was perfect making sure we had everything we needed. Lovestone Cottages is the place to go if you want to spend a nice relaxing weekend in a beautiful place with your partner.

What a special spot…. Could not fault anything and Tamara and Jonathan are amazing hosts.

My partner and I stayed at this beautiful location in November where he proposed! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The dinner and breakfast provided was incredible quality with hand picked local items from Maleny and Montville — The home made sticky date pudding was to die for! The private cottage had everything you could ever need for your stay and everything was so thought out! I really can not fault our experience and it will be one we will remember forever. We will be back. Thank you so much for having us and making our stay so perfect! ♥️

Great location, close to Montville if you want to visit, plenty of open space around to explore. Breakfast hamper huge, lots of little touches, candles, chocolates and snuggly robes.

I can't recommend this beautiful little getaway enough. Hubby and I stayed at Maple cottage for two nights last month after our wedding, for a 'mini-moon' and we only wanted to leave for dinner. Tam & Jon were such lovely hosts (Tam, great to chat with you! ). The breakfast hamper was all locally sourced and top notch. I would highly recommend getting the package — it was such a nice treat! And that view, is second to none. I really didn't enjoy coming home to no bath tub and no view Lol. Hope to be back again soon!

My husband and I stayed at Lovestone Cottages Montville for our wedding anniversary and we could not rate the service and rooms more highly. We were warmly greeted by Tamara on arrival and treated to a beautiful welcome pack with locally sourced treats! We stayed in the Maple cottage which is spacious, modern and privately set in amongst the trees. Our stay has been nothing short of perfect and we cannot wait to come back again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Lovestone Cottages — from our warm welcome to our beautiful and private cottage. We loved the modern and comfortable decor, the fireplace, the spa bath and the double shower (we stayed in the Quandong cottage) We also loved the quality Kitchen Aid appliances, the BBQ and the beautiful glasses, plates — candles everywhere and lots of little decorative touches. We were welcomed with a complimentary bottle of champagne and a breakfast hamper — there was coffee and tea and more. Everything you think you could need, it’s there. All of the food and drinks we brought with us fitted in the fridge and pantry. I should also mention how quiet it was with a beautiful view of the rainforest and gardens from every window. We also made use of the DVD player and the DVDs supplied. The cottage was also spotless — so very clean. I’d rate it 5 stars and we will definitely visit again and recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you so much for providing us with such a wonderful stay.

Tamara and Jonathan were super friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. Tamara showed us our cottage and was helpful with our questions.
The welcome basket of goodies gave it all a more personal touch of making my partner and I fell at home.
We will definitely be making the trip up the mountain to visit again!

An absolute beautiful cottage. Well thought out amenities and so peaceful and secluded. John and Tamara are wonderful, friendly hosts. Definitely heading back for another break away from the hustle and bustle of city living.

Great little cottages nestled in amongst the rain forest trees not too close to other cottages giving privacy and comfortable surroundings to enjoy your time away with great hosts to accommodate your needs. Close to some great foodie cafes and restaurants with great local walks not far away to enjoy.

My partner and I stayed over two amazing nights and the personalised care was absolutely fantastic, all the little extras like fruit bowls, locally sourced welcome gift.
We will stay again for sure!

We have just returned from a weekend stay and wish we could’ve stayed longer. It was so relaxing and tranquil. The cabin felt private and secluded with a beautiful outlook. We were provided with a breakfast hamper which includes some beautiful local produce. The cabin was clean, cosy and beautifully furnished. It was also in a great location very close to town. 5 stars, one of the loveliest get always I’ve ever had. The accomodation is beautiful, the gardens are outstanding and the hospitality is second to none. My partner and I won a free nights accomodation at Montville Grove after winning best dressed couple at the Wandoan Camel Races. We stayed in the Avocado Cottage and it was amazing! Perfect romantic getaway and we absolutely loved the breakfast that was included, locally sourced food and more than enough for the two of us. The hosts are so lovely and the accommodation is well located, only a short drive to town. We would definitely stay again — thank you!

We have just spent a wonderful weekend at Montville Grove — Lake Cottage was so cosy and clean with a fabulous view through the rainforest canopy to the lake. The grounds are beautiful as is the view of the mist settling on the lake. The perfect spot to spend some time with your partner and the fresh produce in the breakfast hamper supports local businesses and is delicious. Tamara and Johnathon are fabulous hosts and all the little extras make your stay special. We would definitely recommend Montville Grove and will be returning.

Wonderful cosy cottage nestled amongst an amazing garden with beautiful views. We had a very relaxing time away and our host Tamara made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Awesome view from our room that has a spa overlooking the forest and the lake, a warm and inviting self contained cabin with a fire place.

Absolutely Stunning! My wife and I traveled up to this fantastic Bed and Breakfast where we were welcomed with open arms from their lovely hospitable owners to their fluffy and playful dogs! The accommodation was an 11 out of 10 which provided us with the relaxation we needed. My wife and I are without a doubt coming back to this beautiful place in the near future.

Thank you Louise and Trevor for a superb weekend stay. Who could ask for anything more! We went to sleep last night watching a spectacular lightening display and woke up this morning to the sun coming up over Lake Boreen. Everything was so lovely from the very tasty and generous food hampers to the completely welcoming cottage and all of that topped off with a relaxing massage by Lucy and Jeanette. We love it here!

Great Weekend. The Cottage was located so that you could barley see anyone else. Owners were lovely and we only saw them on arrival and departure. Cottage overlooked the Lake and Bush. The Cottage was well presented and very clean. Location was brilliant with heaps to see and do from Cheese and Yoghurt Factory, Winery, Walks in the Parks to several Water Falls, etc. Easy to fill in a weekend or longer.

Loved our stay at Montville Grove! We stayed in the Avocado Cottage and it was absolutely beautiful. So peaceful and didn't see any other guests all weekend even though all cottages were booked out. Trevor and Louise went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We can't wait to stay here again!

Beautiful getaway in Montville. Set among 3 very private cottages, we had a great view in our Lake Cottage. The owners are extremely accommodating and friendly. Walking distance to a winery too!

This place is a little gem! Your own cottage set amongst the rainforest. Beautiful views. The quality of the premises was magnificent, extremely clean, spa with views in your room, cooking facilities — your own private BBQ on your balcony, lounge area with TV and DVD's to watch. I particularly liked the basket of breakfast goodies — we recieved ingredients for continental breakfast and for a fully cooked breakfast. Another thing we didnt have to worry about! We could just wake up in our own time and have everything in our room ready to cook at our leisure. And talk about waking up — I didnt want to get out of bed — one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Louise and Trevor are so friendly and helpful. I also like the extra touch of a small mini bar and its all included — amazing hospitality! So much to do in montville for such a little place. I can't wait for my next break, so I can come straight back here — highly recommended! Please keep in mind, it is best to book ahead, as this slice of heaven books out in advance (I was lucky, I just snuck in, in the nick of time! ).

My partner and I came from Brisbane to Montville during our most recent holiday period. I was saying in the car on the way up "I hope it's as good as the pictures and reviews make out. Ohh, I hope I hope! " And it was! Montville Grove is certainly a great place to base yourself while you explore the area and then enjoy a warm spa bath, wine, bbq dinner and wood fire. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

I never knew a location as beautiful as this existed so close to Brisbane. The Sunshine Coast Hinterland and in particular, Montiville Grove, are my new favourite things. Louise and Trevor are tremendous hosts and made us feel so welcome that it was almost as if we were guests in their own home. The attention they bestow on the grounds, cabins and customer service is second to none. The cabins are spotlessly clean and beautifully finished. It’s been a long time since we have felt so relaxed and rejuvenated after only a weekend away. We are already planning our next visit, however this time we’ll be staying for the week. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my weekend and recommend Montville Grove to everyone, it is a truly majestic destination.

Simply beautiful accommodation in a perfect setting. Sorry to gush about this but we've stayed in so many places and this is the best romantic getaway we've found anywhere in Australia. The cabin's facilities and presentation were faultless and luxurious; it was the attention to details that impressed my wife and I most. Cleaning and presentation 10/10. Best bacon I've ever had (loved the breakfast hamper with local products). Lovely spa w. Exquisite view. The whole place felt so secluded and private — but was still close to good restaurants. Hosts were spot-on: friendly and helpful when we needed something (nothing was a problem) but gave us lots of privacy. + a great DVD selection in the room as well. In the words of General Douglas MacArthur: I will return.

Wonderful relaxing place to stay. The cottages are immaculate and the hosts are friendly, helpful and provide useful information about the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. I would highly recommend Montville Grove as the perfect place to stay for a relaxing romantic getaway.
