Absolutely love this place the staff are amazing and laid back. Just had my wedding there and it was affordable and beautiful everything was perfect. Totally recommend. The rooms are nice with great views and the pool is amazing. Great food and service.

A fantastic hotel. Our room was very roomy and well equipped. The balcony was sheltered from the wind and had a beautiful view. Service was very good. The location was perfect. My only complaint was that the bed was very hard and uncomfortable and a light was left on all night in the walkway outside our room and lit up our bedroom, in spite of the frosted window and blind.
Will definitely return there though, as it is in a beautiful spot.

Food for breakfast is amazing — Eggs Benedict to perfection.

Beautiful place to stay to enjoy the surf sand and sun. A lot of nice little villages to visit in the. Surrounding area lovely little treasure troves to explore.

It’s a lovely spot to spend time with family. The beach is close by and the pool is lovely. The hotel is very clean albeit a bit dated. After travelling in SE Asia a lot it’s a bit of a shock to the system taking a short holiday close to home. $$$ wise it’s not cheap but time of year (coming into Xmas) probably accounts for it. It’s a sad reflection that for us Aussies it’s still cheaper to go overseas. But if your looking for a nice break on the Sunshine Coast away from the hustle and bustle, this won’t disappoint.

We stayed at the Ramada Marcoola with family for a week to attend a spiritual event hosted there and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. Spacious rooms, thoughtful amenities, lovely ocean views, a well maintained pool and very friendly and accommodative staff. Had a relaxing holiday with our kid. We couldn’t have have asked for more ☺️ And special mention of the Soul Spa, Beach Bistro & also the lovely beach themed decor in the rooms… just beautiful Thank you and we would love to come back here!

Great stay really enjoyed it except for the Wyndham staff trying to sell time share. Even after telling them we were Wyndham members they wouldn’t take no for an answer trying to book us for a member upgrade and free gifts. We said we were happy as we were only there one night and just wanted to relax. Still persisted in trying the hard sell. Really put a bad taste in our mouth to the point my partner didn’t want to come back due to the annoying pushy sales people. We agreed that we shouldn’t be unable to enjoy staying here because of them. Having stayed at various Wyndham resorts never have we been hassled like we were here. Very disappointing and was hesitant to come back. I stayed there in the 80s and this I why I returned only to be disappointed. Not happy as apart from that out stay was good. Would not recommend to others based on the persistent hassling by these women. Rooms very outdated and in need of maintenance and upgrading. Balcony basically flooded and couldn’t use it and no outside light. Overall needs renovating. Espresso martini’s from bar were awesome.

Best winter break. We had a fabulous experience at Ramada Marcoola. Friendly and super helpful staff. We had a brilliant apartment. Our request to have a sunny balcony was granted. We had Sun the entire time on our balcony and HUGE penthouse. A massive spa and BBQ. We had a fabulous time. The beach is stunning. Thank you so much. We will be back again soon.

We had a lovely time. We were celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Everything we wanted was there. Restaurant it also has a Day Spa. Gym and Pool. Easy access to beach. And Staff very helpful.

Booked an ocean view room through discover Queensland and got a room that looked out at a lovely tin roof! Building and lifts very old and tired. The bed was very average & the tiles on the floor of the bathroom could do with an good clean. Heard slamming doors all night along with the continual sound of the air conditioning unit labouring outside the window. No ability to charge things to your room so you had to carry cash around the resort. Hotel is right in the flight zone of the airport Only positive I could find was the polite staff. While it wasn’t a super expensive room I see NO value for money here and wouldn’t rush back!

A comfortable but predictable stay. No surprises. Food fine but not special. Good location and interesting history in the few years it’s been operating.

The rooms here are an average size and right next to the beach, unfortunately they are also pretty old and feel outdated. The facility itself seems nice, there is a clean outdoor area and a nice bar/restaurant that serves a decent meal. Ocean access is just on the other side of the pools and seems pretty nice. In the future I would likely try to find a more updated place to stay.

Good food, excellent staff. Rooms could be advertised better as smaller than expected, beds and pillows average at best. No couch or comfortable chairs to sit in. Sitting on beds are not cool when staying a few days to relax.

Recently stayed for my mothers 60th birthday. The staff truly went above and beyond to make her weekend special, something we will never forget! The views from our room on the 6th floor were great, the room was spotless and had a great fit out, wish we never had to leave. Would absolutley recommend!

The hotel was great. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Room was lovely and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and it was awesome food with very generous portions. Even a laundry available at a small charge if you needed it. Would definitely stay again should we be in the area.

We attended a wedding this weekend just gone and we have to say it was such a great venue.

Stayed in ocean view room. The view is phenomenal. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The location was superb. For this alone I will give it 5 stars. However the building has definitely aged and the facility has abit to improve. I will still recommend it greatly tho.

Amazing value for money. 3 bedroom apartment facing the ocean. Cannot beat the view. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Janelle at reception 07/05, went absolutely above and beyond for us. We needed a Dr on a public holiday and Janelle looked up open medical centres, called them and booked a cab. We couldn't fault this resort at all. We will definitely be returning to stay again in the future.

Very Large 3 bed apartments with a fantastic view right on the beach or use the great big pool. The playgrounds along the walkways were fantastic for our kids. The restuarant downstairs has a big grass area for our 2 year old to run around. The staff were very very helpful especially and nothjng was too much trouble.

The location is amazing. No crossing roads to the beach, seperete pool for little & big kids. Could be open a little later though, considering it is still hot at 9pm. Restaurant is well priced and food is wonderful. Great views from ocean view rooms. Studio rooms are a little small and could do with rejuvenation. Couple of cafe/restaurant/takeaway places across road along with a bottle shop and small convenience store. Ramada has onsite Day Spa to spoil yourself. Patrolled beach which is never overly busy. Prices for rooms are resonable in comparison to neighbouring accommodation.

We recommend this hotel. Great for a couple of night stay. The pool area is fantastic and location right near the beach. The room was pretty good, a bit dated but comfortable. Wasn't a huge fan with the underground parking. It wasn't very secure as anyone could take the lift down there without using a card or scanner. Overall great.

Lovely location. Only negative with the accommodation was the bed. The mattress was old and needs replacing. Otherwise it was great, friendly helpful staff.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Room was musty and gross, when we asked to be moved we were basically told to suck it up. I'm pregnant so ventilation is pretty important to me. Nothing was properly cleaned, very dirty and dusty. Deginitely cleaner and better options for the price!

My first time staying here what a wonderful resort I'll be staying here everytime I visit the Sunshine Coast exceptional staff they're marvellous couldn't do enough for you thoroughly recommend it to everyone.

Place was nice but when booked was told it was close to beach. Beach could not be seen and we were put in a big room that looked more like a conference hall then a place you would pay $100 a head for. Ham and turkey was from the packet for the Christmas lunch.

Lovely staff, direct access to beach, great views of ocean or mountains, reasonable rates, huge heated swimming pool, restaurant & bar downstairs, shops & cafés across the road.

I have stayed here twice in three years. The location is great with a lovely pool and only a stone's throw away from a fantastic beach. The rooms are small and are getting in need of an update but for the price of the stay, it is a wonderful option.

Great two bedroom apartment with full kitchen and laundry. The pool is a heated salt water pool which is great. Located near a awesome beach. Sadly though it's also very close to the airport runway but you don't really hear the aircraft when inside with the suits closed. The most annoying part about the complex is the use of the venue as a wedding spot. There were three over three consecutive days that consumed the only grass area for the kids to run around on and outdoor dining spot when we were there. Using the pool while the wedding was on felt awkward. Ordering from the restaurant that night and the next day was just a joke as no extra staff were put on.

Location is good but no Wi-Fi in rooms. They do Not make up your room during your stay. The rooms are not clean to start with and are very dated. We come for our honeymoon and were very excited to come and expecting top service being a Ramada but were very disappointed. Definitely won't be staying or recommending it. Perhaps they should stop trying to sell you time share and concentrate on customer service and satisfaction.

The room was small but was clean and nice. Pool is massive, not very heated though. We had a good stay until the morning we were checking out my boyfriend decided to drink the free milk from the fridge. As soon as he started drinking it he threw up due to the milk tasting sour and being off. The milk smelled terrible and was clearly off. As we checked out we complained and showed the manager the milk. She told us he must have food poisoning and that the milk smelled fine, just like normal uht milk and that It was within the use by date. Definitely will not being back to this hotel after getting told he has food poisoning and that it takes up to 6 hours to effect you, etc. He threw up instantly after drinking the milk. How the manager handled the situation was a joke.

Not a place I would visit again. Rooms felt squished and a bit dated. Staff frequently said inappropriate things to us and our friends at the bar. Food was ok. Coffee was bad.

Called in for a coffee breakfast meeting with a business colleague. Staff and service was cheerful and friendly and the coffee and food good and reasonably priced. Relaxed and pleasant setting.

I would not recommend this hotel and would never book again. The room was dirty and old, mould and marks everywhere. Throughout the night I noticed a cigarette smell coming from The bathroom. I don't smoke. It seemed to becoming through the exhaust and when I turned that on to try and air out the room it only made it worse. I notified reception of this the next day as they were close that night and didn't even receive and apology. Would not recommend even for a budget hotel.

Four nights at Ramada Marcoola Beach for my wife to recuperate from severe middle ear infection. Great 1br apartment, great ocean view, and space to rest and relax. A great experience and easy to recommend to others, and to return on another occasion.

We've had lunch here several times and find it be be very good value. Steaks are cooked to perfection, the salad is not large but the dressing is delicious. And the chips are from the biggest potatoes! Crisp and yummy. The service is always friendly and cheerful. Lovely outdoor eating area is a nice change from the air-conditioning when the weather permits. And right at one of the lovely Sunshine Coast 's beaches.

3 stars for a 3-star hotel. Booked a deluxe ocean view room. 'Queen' bed was just two singles pushed together. Hotel itself is nice, location is awesome but the rooms could do with a good spring clean. I'd go back but suggest an update to the beds!

I was told I would have an ocean view, I ended up with an apartment on the bottom floor with no view at all. One of the doors of my apartment would not lock so I was constantly worrying about my personal belongings and my safety. On the other hand, the resort is basically on the beach, and has an excellent pool. The bistro had good food and wasn't too expensive. Overall I enjoyed my stay and was refunded the money I paid for an ocean view. My only complaints are to do with my room and from speaking with other guests, I just happened to get a bad room.

So I have been staying at this Surf Air Hotel/Resort for the past 14 years and take my family here at least once every year or so, it is literally right on the beach, you can spit on the sand from your Apartment Balcony (you need to really put in some effort to get your spit to go over the huge pool, but it's doable, trust me), how awesome is that! Anyway, back to the review, we either get the 1 or 2 bedroom apartments (depending on if we take our rugrats), spa in the bathroom, big ole TVs in every room (for when it rains, or just feeling lazy) full size kitchens and comfy beds. They have a full size gym, and amazing restaurant dinning experience, with some great value brekky meals too, games room, bar/hotel. Live music on the weekends and all that jazz and we usually get some free drink vouchers for the bar. And this place is 10 minutes from the Sunny Coast Hub of Maroochydore. The only down side is its literally right opposite the sunny coast airport, and if you skimp on the room, you'll get a sweet view of the adjacent shopping strip + airport, BUT that could be a bonus if your kids really wanna watch the planes land and take off and what not. Anyway, SURF AIR is our go to place for a sweet view, clean and modern accommodation, and everything that's easy in a quick getaway destination!

Customer service was average, no cleaners fit your room! Have to empty your own bins, change your own sheets and take towels down to reception every morning and swap for clean towels! Good at resturant/bar very average! Would t stay here again!

Water pool's look beautiful, & beaches and surrounding's are pieceful and relaxed.

Stayed in an oceanfront room. Room is clean, bathroom clean, it is a basic hotel room. The compkex has an enormous heated pool. Beach is about 40 meters from pool. It is a gorgeous beach with lifeguard and flags. Waves are not rough, perfect for swimming. Staff are wonderful, very friendly and really care about the guests. There is a restaurant/bar next to the pool. Staff here are so nice. Food was very good. My only complaint is lack of free Wi-Fi. You have to pay $6 per hour. Its 2015, Wi-Fi is free in hotels in the US, so I was really taken aback when told the cost of Wi-Fi. It really should be free. Other than that, I would return to Ramada Marcoola.

Horrible. Wasn't advised when booking of the $100 deposit required and am still waiting for it to be returned. Room was meant to be twin with beds together but wasnt. People below us constantly smoking so we had to stay inside. Bathroom had other peoples hair and what looked like pubic hairs on the walls, shower was mouldy and the tracks never cleaned. Bin had rubbish in it. Staff were rude and unhelpful. WONT go back.

If you love Marcoola and want to be on the beach at a hotel that ticks all the boxes. Stop the drive here.

Had a voucher for a night here, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was small but cosy, pool facilities were awesome and the restaurant had good food and friendly staff. Marcoola is a nice change from some of the more crowded parts of the Sunny coast. Would happily come back here.

Its a nice place for families spent xmas week here. Reception staff were nice enough. All staff encountered were diverse from fresh out of school, old, fat, thin, detected a kiwi accent, german and south african. They have a little desk set up near reception offering local tourist info with a twist at the end to get you to attend an obligation free seminar for the Wyndham chain of hotels which is fine if you want to spend 2-3 hours at. The restaurant and views of the pool was ok you get what you pay for, I saw the same piece of rubbish under an outdoor dining table for 2 days. The pools are nice, a toddlers pool ankle deep and heated also a nice big resort style pool with lots of recliners and umbrellas not sure if its vacuumed nightly as I saw sand build up in places over the week. A gym with all the basic equipment, Beauty day spa and massage. The beach is on your doorstep virtually no need to cross a road. Variety of shops across the road a servo, bottleo, bakery etc. Central to all sunny coast beaches and activities. The rooms and apartments are ok and refurbished. I would stay here again as its a good base to venture out or spend the day relaxing pool side or at the beach.

Studio room quite small but with good view if you pay extra for ocean views. Staff helpful. Nice pool area, being near beach and good bistro and spoorts bar area. Just with the room so compact would recommend book something larger.

Ramada Marcoola. Allegedly a 4 star resort. Food cold and ordinary. Room rubbish, old mouldy and rusty shower No ice tray in the fridge. Couldn't get ice. The reception person suggested I go across the street to the 7/11. What a joke. Many of the staff were very good. Some of the staff should not work in hospitality. The cow at reception gave our district treasurer a gob full of attitude when he asked about the air con in the function room. The young bloke in the bar was excellent as was the lady at breakfast. They will never have to put up with me again ever. The only thing that was not cheap about the place was the price. I would not recommend it to anyone EVER. And here is the kicker. We inadvertently left a bag in the room containing two pairs of thongs and my $220 work shoes. Unable to be found say Ramada after 4 phone calls with promises to call us back each time, that never actually eventuated. SO Housekeeping either STOLE them or DISCARDED them in the bin with scant regard for the people that owned them. SAD Ramada Just bloody sad and an extremely poor performance overall. did I say never again.

Do not stay here! The worse experience we have ever had staying at a hotel. We booked two nights accommodation through Hotels Combined over the Christmas period. The room should have come with a warning. We had the unfortunate experience of staying in the central tower, in a tiny one bedroom unit. Room was extremely old and tired — in much need of a refurbishment. Not only this, it was extremely unclean with stains all over the carpet. It looked like a brothel. The bathroom was disgusting — that we wore our thongs in the shower. The blind fell down — the whole place falling apart. We were even lucky enough to score the lovely views of the roof and car park! Further more, we weren't the only ones unhappy with the accommodation. Every time we headed past Reception, customers were complaining. No matter what deals are on offer — — — DO NOT STAY HERE.

We booked through a booking agency, when we booked it was a two bedroom with 1 room having a queen bed and the other bedroom have two singles, as we were staying with my parents we ask to change the two singles into a double they said that this will be fine. We then got there and there were only two single beds and in fact the room that was meant to have a king bed in fact had two singles pushed together as well which made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. We also had a lovely view of the 7/11, the highway and the planes taking off and landing on the 3rd floor. The rooms were hot and stuffy as they only had standing fans no air-condition except for in the living room. The main bathroom that was adversities in having a spa bath did have a spa bath however was the size only a young child would fit it also came with a few cockroaches lying under our bed. The other bathroom had a disabled shower. The carpet was also very dirty and marked everywhere. Overall the room was old style dirty and in need of a major refurbishment. We called the receptionist downstairs to ask if there was anything they could do to give us a better room as we were very unhappy and she just simply said no nothing we can do and they were completely over booked and this was simply not the case as they was plently of parking spots left in the car park over the two days we were there, as well as nobody in rooms that you could clearly see from the pool.
