A surprisingly lovely little place to stop at, especially considering the prices. The owner was friendly and helpful and the room and bathroom was clean and tidy. The rooms are ex mining accomodation so quite compact but more than enough room for what I needed. I stayed in a single room which had its own bathroom and as a single female I felt very safe. The kitchen is communal but large and kept clean and tidy. … Apart from the noise from the highway which is expected, the place itself was quiet. I have no hesitation in recommending Bushchooks Travellers Village.

Best park we have stayed at, very friendly service. Amenities are very clean and well maintained. They provide free breakfast and tea and coffee in the camp kitchen which is also well stocked with everything you would need to cook. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Recently travelled Townsville to S'Shine Coast for Labour W'end (plus a few days), with my 5yo grandson. O'nighted here on the way down and due to that stop, did so again on the way back. You will not find a better short stay stop anywhere. Owner Chris, really FRIENDLY and most accommodating. Rooms (ensuited) whilst not large, are really CLEAN & in excellent repair, with pay TV, (bring your own bedside light if your a bookworm), and breakfast (tea/coffee, cereal, toast & spreads), thrown in for NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! There is no room service, and you don't need it, as all is really close at hand. An excellent laundry is provided and the CAMP KITCHEN IS THE CLEANEST & BEST EQUIPPED I have ever seen, and I have seen many. There is a Cafe at the gate, and the Pub is 2 mins walk up the road. Both provide a WELCOMING atmosphere, FRIENDLY service, and EXCELLENT food. This will definitely be my PERMANENT halfway stop from now on.

Absolutely amazing place and especially the owner. We had some issues with our car and Kris proactively provided so much help to us. The whole place has a style and really nice atmosphere, everything is clean, fully equipped kitchen and free breakfast. Highly recommend this place.

Great little place to set up while travelling, lovely owner, all the amenities you could want and more, close to town pub for meals, and cafes. Bit noisy sometimes from road traffic and passing trains. But I'd stay again for sure!

Only Motel within 300klm that advertise out the front on the actual price of a room. Clean comfy room good Air con, TV and wi fi and own bathroom. $50 Very friendly helpful management. Will definitely stay again!

Wonderful place to stay at a great price! Extremely friendly staff, great and clean facilities, free breakfast, TV, internet and a small pool. Went there by campervan, by far the best value camping site I have been in Australia.

One of the best value for money accommodations I've seen in Australia. Modern clean rooms, fully equipped communal kitchen and even free basic breakfast. Can't recommend highly enough.

Chris is very friendly. I stayed for a night and get a self-contained cabin that usually $50/night but given a promotional rate of $40 for a starter. First time I've experienced a cabin that is so clean and well maintained for a cheap cost. Wow! Really a winner!

The rooms are comfortable and clean, you have everything you need for the night, and the rates are probably the best that you will find anywhere up the whole east coast. I stay there all the time.

Bush Chooks — First class accommodation and Mine Host Kris is very helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for him. The rooms are always spotless and the linen is clean and crisp. The under cover camp kitchen is exceptional and spotless. Did I mention that it is under cover? … Do yourself a great favour and stop over for a night. You will enjoy yourself and be most surprised. Amazing place with a wonderful camp kitchen. Amenities spotless. The couch area with the TV (Foxtel! ) and the heaters is so nice to be in. I was there with a push bike. Very good grass area. This place is better than any other caravan park or campground I've been to during my three months trip on the East coast. But the best part is the manager. He will do anything to make your stay the best possible. He made me feel at home with an old friend. Thank you Chris! Adrien.

Room was small but ok floor was very dirty bed was hard and squeaky the cooking facilities were very good staff were frendly.

Cant be better. Cheap. Clean. Great service. I have been to many motels n hotels during my 3 weeks holiday in Qld n this is the most impressive one comparing to its price. Great management.

Very tidy and nice place. Free tea and coffee. We stayed there for one night with our station wagon (yoshi) and it was just lovely. And one last thing, the kitchen is really good. Cheers for this beautiful place Chris!
