Review of Mantra Circle On Cavill 4*

When we walked into the room, we found a hole in the wall and stains on the carpet, dirty dishes put back into draws and just an outright boring room that looked nothing like the pictures on the website. When we left we were charged $100 each for the hole in the wall and the stained carpet, in which we did not do. How much does it cost for wall filler and carpet cleaner? Certainly not $400, the amount the took off us, what a rip off. The lack of house keeping is appalling, yeah they come around every morning but all they do is empty your bins, a job that I could do myself. Some clean sheets and towels and some toilet paper would have been nice would have been nice but they said there was a "high demand and there wasn't enough to hand out. " A large, busy, 5 star hotel — you should always have enough supplies to go around. Being expected to clean our own sheets and towels while on holidays, um no thank you. Also, we forked out $600 plus $200 bond, together that adds up to $3200 for a weeks accommodation, in the most basic room they had and the hotel had the decency to tell up we had to buy our own toilet paper!?! Bored looking, unhelpful staff. When I ask for maintenance people to come up and you say they will be up soon, I thought that would have been soon, not never. It's fine though, I'll fix the dryer that doesn't work and I'll pay for the holes in the wall that you wouldn't come up and inspect to see we didn't do it. Horrible experience all around, outdated hotel that really needs to work on a lot of things to actually be deserving of their 5 star reputation. Only reason this has more then one star is because of its location and the fabulous view.
