We went to here and staying for 5 days. It’s totally so much better. The place is so nice, very relaxing, awesome services and family friendly, also staffs in the resort very nice as well. So much good quality in this resort and very so much better as before we had bad experience from the another resort. But thank goodness we got this resort on the right time and so much fix our problem. High recommend, great experience and for sure next time stay here more longer.

Just beautiful, the staff are fantastic.

For the amount they charge, your car is parked in the hot sun unprotected. You have to lug your suitcase to your room then they graciously allow you 1 serve of coffee. Would never recommend absolutely horrid. For over $500 a night old tired rooms. Oh and also cheap pump bathroom products.

Great pool and lagoon but that's it. You feel like a burden the whole time. There is hardly any staff on. Been here 4 days and pool bar hasn't been opened once. You can use a telephone on the wall to ring up and place an order. It's taken nearly an hour for a wine, a champagne and 2 milkshakes and they are yet to arrive. I have no idea why because there is about 10 of us using the lagoon pool and no one in the pool and spa. Advertised putt putt and it's one patch of green with three holes. No golf clubs or balls so we went up to concierge and were ignored for 10 minutes so asked a worker outside who said he would find out. He came back nearly 20 minutes later to say we had to sign them out at the concierge… Definitely not the service you would expect when paying these prices. Definitely do not recommend. I love the quiet but it is eery quiet here, like you are not really welcome.

Poor management. Always messing things up with bookings and payments. We've been going there for over 20 years and they never remember us. They have done this to our family for years.

This place had seen better days. since the Chinese bought this place no money has been spent… It's tired, worn down and needs updating. This place is 3 star at best. I was incredibly disappointed 😞

Amazing Resort, beautiful setting on the water. The seawater pool is so clean, so enjoyable. The normal pool is heated to 38 C, also spotless. Sanctuary Cove Intercontinental Hotel compete with the best have enjoyed in Florida.

We celebrated my friends belated birthday 🎂 with a High Tea in the Fireplace restaurant. It was a lovely day out. Service was great and following all covid rules. Would highly recommend to go here. We walked around the grounds which were immaculate.

The Inter is a great place to stay. Centrally located between Surfers Paradise and Brisbane. Close to the theme parks, 10 min drive. Friendly staff and the Fire Place restaurant is a must. Great food, great wine list and the best staff on the Gold Coast Brook, Sarah, Vanessa and Jess. We love this place and keep coming back.

A beautiful high coffee experience. Very fresh and exquisite food. You won’t be disappointed, you will be very full though.

It’s currently 12.16am on Friday morning, I just called room service to be told that because of covid they have no bar staff on. My question was how can you advertise 24 hour room service but not provide the staff to do so? I only live 10 minutes from this resort but was really looking forward to our stay. I called twice for drinks to our room only to be told that he would call the police… for what? I have the video.

Great hotel. The pool is superb and service around it is very good. Even when it was very busy we only waited 20 minutes for our food. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are excellent. Loved the marina and plenty of excellent restaurants to try. Will definitely return.

Just had the most amazing Xmas lunch! But however the high light of it all was the staff — helpful, kind and homely; which simply made everything more than anyone could expect. We were selfed my a waiter called “John” who we cannot thank enough for his kind efforts to make our once in a life time trip that ever more special. But although we single John out… all the staff were great! If we ever visit again from oversea, this place will certainly be on the agenda! Merry Xmas too you all! Sam and Agne.

We had a lovely Christmas Day breakfast, great service, price and atmosphere. There was even kids cutlery, colouring pencils and drawing available for the kids. Loved it we will be back again.

Very friendly professional staff, great sized room, nice and clean. Comfy bed and fantastic pillows! Good selection at breakfast although they kept running out of food, perhaps they were short staffed that day. The outside breakfast area really needs to be made a priority for cleaning when guests have finished eating. It is really disgusting watching those ibis and other birds, standing and eating off of plates guests are going to use. We will definitely be back =)

Fantastic place to stay for a night or two. Conference room available for functions. Close walking distance to Sanctuary Cove for a bite to eat in one of the many cafe's or Restaurant's or you may endeavour to eat at the resort. Friendly Helpful Staff.

Great food, relaxing location. All the amneties you need if your a Keen golfer or just want a week away. Close to beaches, outlet shopping for overseas guests. Rooms are a good size, though are feeling a little dated these days. Village nearby provides good food options and some small shopping for lazy days hanging around the resort.

Fairy Bay Comfortable and quiet place, there is a glass church to provide wedding use, consumption is certainly high, is a place to stay.

Lovely place to on the weekend with the whole family, the rooms are nice and comfortable. The location is great just a short 5 minute walk from the Marine Village which has delicious restaurants and cafes like Black Angus. The lagoon pool is beautiful and almost never occupied. The staff are lovely, and so is the breakfast buffet.

Lovely older style resort hotel that's taken full advantage of the natural landscape surrounding it. Very astheticly appealing with abundance of natural wildlife roaming the grounds and catered by polite helpful staff.

A lovely old building with external rooms and suites on the grounds where you can waken every day to birdsong and kangaroos grazing on the lawn at 10 metres!

Stayed overnight for a wedding, beautiful location and chapel was gorgeous. Rooms are a little dated but overall very comfotable. Bonus extra of local kangaroos roaming the grounds.

Whilst the resort looks a little dated on the outside, our room was lovely. The service was fantastic; particularly on the front desk. We attended a wedding at the resort and the chapel and reception area were lovely. A great stay!

My husband and I attempted to dine at the Verandah bar on a Monday for lunch. On arrival, the lady working behind the bar looked at us — refused to acknowledge us and continued working (cutting up cucumbers). We waited, looking at her, for 10 minutes to be seated but it did not happen. She then hurried out the back and made a phone call, a few minutes later the bar manager arrived and seated us. He gave us menus and water and said he would be back. 15 minutes later no one had returned to take an order, the lady behind the bar still refused to interact with us even though we had made eye contact and signals. After 30min of waiting and not being served we decided to leave — the only other couple in the restuarant (it was not busy! ) told us we made a smart move as they had received a terrible lunch as well. On exiting, we questioned the bar manager about the poor service and we didnt even get an apology, we were just told he was too busy and couldnt do any better. Again, there was only 1 other couple dining in the restaurant and maybe 3-4 at the bar. Will NEVER dine here again, will NEVER recommend this to anyone.

The hotel itself was very nice and well decorated. The service from the staff across the hotel was amazing and was all held to the highest standard. The rooms themselves were a good size and were well equipt. I would definitely recommended this hotel.

Absolutely wonderful. Had our wedding and reception at the resort with most guests choosing to stay as well. So organised and we all felt like a VIP. Can't thank staff enough for their friendliness and can do attitude. Was such an amazing experience… Loved it!
Kim our wedding coordinator did an outstanding job! The Chapel is spectacular and the Grange for our reception was perfect. Our chef Mark exceeded expectations for quality of food for all our guests, they couldn't stop raving about it. Our honeymoon suite ' the homestead ' was just so lovely and comfortable. We used locals Tarnya Bennett as our Celebrant (she was amazing able to put us at ease and provided a beautiful personalised ceremony for us) and Josh White Pearl Photography who knows the resort very well and was able to capture some extremely magical moments for us. Big thanks to all involved.

Excellent pool facilities, good location with adjacent restaurants at the marina, clean and well presented room, and a good buffet breakfast. Service during our stay from all staff was excellent.

Stayed here for 5 days the grounds were amazing very relaxing. The pool had a lot of chlorine and ruined my sons swimming costume but the staff were very nice and acted accordingly. The breakfast was great and the coffee was fabulous. (double shots) and we could have as many coffees as we wanted each morning. Loved it!

Staying at a 5 star means high expectations. There was nothing wrong but it could have been better overall. If you get a good deal, def stay there.

I am still currently staying their for rest of the week and I got to tell that I loving this place so nice and friendly staff nice rooms and beautiful outdoor my son loves the kangaroo' s in the resorts and we were welcome with wishes for our anversiery and bottle of wine. And when I asked reception to change my room from third floor
To ground floor it was like no big deal all has been done without any fuss. Thank you very much for the great hospitality.

Amazing beach there but would like to make a complaint about the electronic connection and pest control!
We stay for 3night and hv 2 times electronic suspend and even reception promised no more suspend on the first time and they used to just say a sorry for that. Some of us are working with the notebook during the time of suspend it may chance to damage our equipment and lost of our working sheet! And some of us wake up by the hot weather as the air con was suddenly off in the early morning.
About the pest control, each of us got over 10bites and thanks for the itchy treat stay. Can't believe it happen in a 5 star hotel and call Intercontinental. Once more, the management should arrange more staff during the busy breakfast time. However, We are more likely to be back with the beach.

Luxury resort. Loved the atmosphere, all the staff were so happy to help and go beyond expectations. Amazing cocktails at both the pool bar and verandah bar. Will definitely stay here again.

Concierge were extremely rude! You need to acknowledge guests upon arrival & ask guest of they need any assistance, instead of just standing there & stairing at guest! However, Jessica from the lounge was absolutely awesome!. She gave us the best customer experience we have encounted in a very long time!

Absolutely beautiful place to take the family, awesome pool facilities, great function rooms with very nice food provided by the kitchen for lunch and morning and afternoon breaks. The accommodation itself was great, nice modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. The front sliding doors open out to the pool area almost which was awesome. Very nice beach style pool also. Service from all staff was very very good and all were friendly.

Very nice venue in a secluded location. The food, drinks and service are all very good. It's worth noting that the pricing of food and drink is reasonably expensive, but won't break the bank. The resort is good for functions that remain inside or close the venue as it sits on an island that's fairly secluded. Rooms are very nice and comfortable.

Good, but not great unfortunately. Positives, staff were all very attentive and friendly. Pool and lagoon area was great however in morning pool was closed for a long time for cleaning. Not so positive, club lounge feels like an afterthought not the jewel in the crown it is supposed to be, after experiencing Sydney this was a real let down.
Power off in the morning to test generators meant breakfast buffet items were cold as no heat lamps. It went on way longer than the advised 10 minutes. I was so disappointed after reading all the great reviews on this to have a bad experience. We would come again but not get a club room, a let down there and hopefully get to experience buffet at its best.

Thank you to all the staff at this wonderful resort. I’m normally not a resort person as they are generally too generic and soulless. However, your service was excellent! The buffet breakfast was the best I have aver had, anywhere in the world, and I travel extensively for work and pleasure. I even asked for avocado as there was none on the amazing spread of delights. This was no problem at all, and delivered with a smile.
We were there for a wedding, which was also catered for in a spectacular fashion. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

The staff and meals were very pleasant and thats about it. The 3pm time slot for registering in for your room ended up being 445pm with only one voucher for a coffee and with no key we could not use the VIP room. The room we booked was not outside the marina as per our booking. Will never go back.

Lovely resort, room was immaculate, the bed was the best I've ever slept on, but most of all the staff were amazingly professional and caring, nothing was a problem. I highly recommend this resort, especially the Queenslander suite.

The InterContinental is a delight to the eyes and the taste buds with fantastic staff. From the moment we arrived, driving through the beautiful gardens to an entrance fit for a king, we were greeted by genuinely happy, helpful, friendly faces, and with none of the 'forced' niceties we often seem to receive an upscale resort where you know they're just paid to smile and be attentive. Absolutely every staff member we encountered, from reception to concierge, valet and the restaurant at breakfast were in all honesty, as lovely as you could imagine. The InterContinental has truly world class service. The resort itself is huge, covers an expanse that could be considered its own suburb, and picturesque to say the least, but for those of us who have trouble walking any distance, you're only a phone call away from a friendly, happy staff member and his limo sized golf cart to take you wherever you need to go. And that includes a small local shopping precinct packed with shops and restaurants at the marina. The rooms are clean, well-appointed and reasonably fresh, with everything you need on hand for a nice relaxing stay, or just a phone call to concierge away. Sadly, we were only staying for one night while attending a party in nearby Paradise Point and did not get a chance to try the restaurant for dinner, which we've heard is quite superb.

Great stay. Breakfast was fantastic. Grounds are beautiful to stroll. Definitely coming back in warmer weather to take advantage of the lagoon. Only downside is room was a little worn due to age but still, very charming and comfortable.

Wonderful place to take your family and enjoy some time out. Its beautifully laid out and there are two pools to choose from. Also a nice walk to the Marina offers many restaurant choices.

Very disappointing end to a lovely high tea. Got charged extra for kids drinks and a hefty public holiday surcharge, none of which was mentioned apon booking this high tea. For this extra $56 we could've gone and a lovely dinner instead of just afternoon tea. Will never be back. Such a shame because high tea is such a regular thing for us with the grandparents given they live so close to Sanctuary Cove. Much rather drive them to Brisbane than put up with this again.

I really can't fault the Intercontinental at Sanctuary Cove. I've stayed there 6 times in the last 12 months and enjoy it every time. I had my 50th Birthday there and they really went out of their way to make my stay fantastic. Last weekend I took a friend there for the first time and he said it was probably the best place he has stayed at in a LONG time. The seafood smorgasboard was fabulous. They don't overfill it and risk having health problems; it is fresh, cold, and promptly topped up. The breakfast is fantastic, the rooms are so clean, the toiletries are lovely (try the face soap bar! ) and the staff are more than helpful! As for the swimming pool? OMG… it is fantastic… I just melt every time I go in there… it's huge, it's lovely, … and there are TWO of them. I used an IHG rewards club night at another Gold Coast hotel and regretted it because I kept on thinking of the Intercontinental. This is why this hotel is rated 4.5 or higher…

Rooms were nice and cleaned daily! Buffet breakfast was great, but eggs were never cooked well or our ordes were forgotten completely. Overall it is a nice place, but no where near the beach like the photos seem to suggest.

The location is excellent with incredibly friendly staff and fantastic poolside service. We were taken by golf buggy between places a number of time due to the size of resort, very fun. The early morning breakfasts are a full buffet with unlimited barrister made coffee.

Really enjoyed our stay at the intercontinental sanctuary cove resort, the staff were helpful and very polite. The facility were clean and accessible. The kids and myself of course really enjoyed the pools and spa. Having the marina and it's restaurants near by added a little extra variety to the experience. Would definitely stay again.

I've stayed in so many hotels and resorts but this lovely lady (Bec) is by far the best housekeeping personnel. I offered her a drink because she did really clean and tidied up our room and brushed our toilet (our room was a bit messy than usual) I offered her a tip so then she can atleast buy a refreshment and she refused again. She keeps apologizing and thanking me for no apparent reason (that was very humbling encountered in my part. ) I wanted to take a proper pic of her but didn't wanna embarrassed her. Thanks Bec and my apologies for the stolen shots. I will definitely write a good review for you! Thanks, Ella.

Love this place! Have frequented here over my life for family holidays and work functions. Very relaxing. Great staff. The artificial saltwater beach pool is great. Especially when they serve you cocktails on bean bags!

Fantastic front desk service. Room was very clean and inviting. We were told that we would have champagne and chocolates on arrival and I was very disappointed because it was a special night and it didn't happen. Breakfast was great but coffee bar forgot about our order and we had to go up and ask twice. Overall though a good experience.

I stayed in the resort for 3 nights and it was excellent. Lovely and helpful staff. Our room was immaculate with a beautiful view. Karen in Housekeeping was lovely and cleaned my room to perfection. Concierge and Front desk team were friendly and always ready to help. Loved the rides in buggies every time we went for meals in the restaurants in the village. Thank you concierge team for picking us up and dropping us to the restaurants. The best part was to watch kangaroos relaxing as well in the hotel vicinity. We had the best time staying there and pool is the highlight of the resort. Breakfast was lovely as well. Overall, I would love to stay again.

Beautiful golfing resort — was at a conference here and would recommend — bit weird the bar closes at 2 considering its so far away from residents though. Would definately recommend.

A beautiful venue for a wedding. The chapel is AMAZING and the wedding reception rooms are beautiful. We have had the pleasure of working in most of the rooms and locations at this venue and can highly recommend it.
