Review of Bunk Surfers Paradise International Backpacker Hostel 2*

I came back from my night out at 4am, went to get into bed and to my surprise there was a man there? I asked if he had got the right room and apologised for waking him. He was meant to be in the room but all the other beds were full, I had no choice but to pack my bags and leave the room. I explained the situation to the person on reception and as it was 4:30am at that point and I was so in shock I didn’t really feel like sleeping anymore. The person on reception said I could get a “couple of hours kip” in the lounge area and then sort it out in the morning. So I was under the belief I would be receiving a refund even if only partial. That would be the fair thing to do in this situation. The manager I spoke to the next morning was so unprofessional and extremely rude. She was aggressive from the start and tried to blame me for the situation. Making out in front of the other staff as if I was the one in the wrong. I felt embarrassed and annoyed, she threw insults around saying I was ridiculous, ending with her raising her voice and telling me to grab my things and get out. She was far more aggressive than necessary towards me as I approached the situation calmly and politely. She really was trembling with aggression and I feel sorry for staff members and other guests who have to deal with her. I’ve never met anyone so rude here! Honestly give this place a miss, it’s overpriced for what it is and the customer service is very poor. Not clean at all and the facilities are pretty average at best.
