Inside the casino was buzzing with activity on a Saturday night. Heaps of people and activity created a great ambience. The sports bar is really good with huge screens with just about every sport playing. Drinks were quick considering the amount of people. Good spot to meet people and have a quick slap.

Hotel itself feels lavish and is very centrally located. However for the price point I think the service could be improved. The facilities were also under renovation at the time of our visit and poorly communicated to guests.

The absolute best in accommodation. The location is perfect not to far to walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. There is an awesome pool are and gym really good with a sauna! The rooms are spacious beautiful comfy beds and pillows. It does not matter which view you get the hinterland looks beautiful as does the ocean view. We stay there very often and have always enjoyed talking with staff, dining in the local restaurants and just relaxing. It's a great place to stay 10-10.

Sports bar is amazing with a huge main screen and countless smaller screens all over. Even when it was completely packed (England World Cup game), there was no chance of missing anything. Drinks were a bit pricey at about $7 for a schooner of mid, and the bar was three people deep due to the crowds there for the event. Would definitely go again though.

We had a champagne lunch to celebrate a friends birthday. Amazing — exceeded our expectations. Food was fresh and delicious, the champagne was free flowing and the service was excellent. We were looked after by lovely super friendly waitresses, we had the best afternoon and such value for money. The Garden Restaurant is the perfect place for an afternoon out.

Great facilities, attentive well presented staff and awesome selection of food and drinks with multiple bars to choose from… but $20 to access the roof top bar? No thanks… however as we mumbled about the entry price the bar staff willingly offered the 4 of us access for a 'sly 50 his way' which I found most unprofessional, benefiting his pocket to access upstairs? No thanks! We left. Maybe back next time but will avoid the rooftop and enjoy our drinks and entertainment on the lower levels. Cheers.

Level 19 at the restaurant and bar amazing! You can watch 15 Chefs cook your food THE BEST steak I have ever eaten, melt in your mouth. Over the top service which makes you feel special. I want to go back there.

Awesome experience. Although it’s not a big site compare to most casino over the world however it is better than most I’ve ever been (Vegas, Macau and California) Fantastic venue & Location! Every staff was friendly and deliver excellent customer service. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. Food was delicious. The worst part of my stay was having to be leave this paradise. I can’t fault this place and the service one bit! Highly recommend!

Only went to the casino and wan!

I had drinks with a group of friends at the garden bar, which is a nice setting, good atmosphere. The drinks are pretty standard price for a bar. I had some nachos from the food court and they were quite decently priced, if you're going there I recommend getting some food from the food court.

Such a nice place. There are a few inviting bars and great restaurants. You will see / meet a variety of people. There are TWO things I complain about every time I'm there. First: they have no dress code in place… I don't have to explain further the outcome of this. Second: there is not enough staff behind the bars. Therefore you are lining up forever. Other than that I really like it there. ☺

The executive rooms are definitely worth it in my opinion. Nice rooms with a 2 your canape and drinks package and buffet breakfast. Excellent service from everyone — Sue in the Executive lounge was delightful.

Love this place, even more since a recent makeover. It now feels like a high end and stylish place to bet, drink, dine and relax. Loads of parking available, great choice of bars and eateries. The new rooftop bar with amazing views over the Gold Coast is definitely a place to be seen. Only letdown for me was the all-you-can-eat evening buffet — the choice and quality compared to recent similar experiences was not upto par at all.

The food at the Food Quarter isn't appetising. Ive tried different meals there hoping it would improve but I was disappointed. Tonight I had the roast pork dinner again and the meat was over cooked and dry and the meal itself was very small on a big plate. I also had a$1 dinner roll but it was so small and the butter which is always placed on the hot bread plate was completely melted again. Many diners seated near me were also complaining as well. I must say I've been going to the casino for over 20 years and I prefer the old eating place Bite as the menu was delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. I wish it was still there.

Love coming here for a night out or dinner. So vibrant with plenty of bars and different areas to choose from. The new Garden area is beautiful, the last time I went there was on a Sunday and there were families there having food and drinks while the kids played. The gambling tables are always crowded and it’s a great environment even if gambling isn’t your thing just to walk around and take in the atmosphere.

Italian restaurant in the casino had a pretty extensive menu with reasonable prices. Service was great with the waiters definitely going above and beyond to ensure a memorable night. The renovations definitely make all the difference in feeling liking a premier venue once again.

Beautiful and clean hotel with modern rooms where you really feel that you are on holiday. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast every morning where the food is great and varied. The pool area is nice and clean as well. Very good location, close to shopping centers, restaurants and the beach.

Great location. Great variety of restaurants. Being updated in areas. The accommodation has been tastefully decorated. The location of international brand name shops are just across the road, and more restaurant choices. The tram. Is just a short walk out the front that will take you un a loop around Surfers Paradise.

Good buffet but the hotel is a bit dated however it is getting a massive makeover so can't wait for that. Inside the casino there is a new food, bar and games section. For the new food section the menu looks like they have taken 1 good dish from many countries and put it into 1 menu. Which is good when you go there often and want to try something new all the time. Not sure if they rotate it or change it up from time to time. The bar was very popular and has more seating than the old one. The new game section has better and more comfortable seats and nicer machines.

My wife and I stayed Saturday night at the Star casino and hotel. We were in the executive rooms which come with complimentary breakfast as well as giving access to the executive lounge on the lobby level. There is also a happy hour from 5 to 7 pm for adults in the lounge so we went along and were spoilt with cold champagne and tasty nibbles — especially lovely scallops on a pea sauce. Two of the staff in attendance deserve a special mention — Sue and Graeme as they were super attentive and welcoming. Very enjoyable activity before we attended our function.

Food Fantasy for the buffet was a great suggestion from my wife. We were pleasantly greeted sat with a window seat as we requested. Food was good quality (think maple smoked streaky bacon), the two toasters were labeled with their light or dark settings. House made smoothies in little jars readily available. They have an excellent coffee machine as well as barista made. Lots of staff even though a public holiday meant plates were cleared from table which is what you need at a buffet. Definitely had my recommendation. I never give 5 star ratings but I couldn't find any faults. At $100 for our family of 4 (the kids came at half price one free) excellent value even with holiday surcharge, normally around $80.

Very nice hotel, some restaurants of the casino leaves to be desired, and pity that the bedding is not suitable for those with fragile back.

Great stay at this hotel. Japanese Restaurant recommended with Chablis. Theatre. Casino. The beach is ten minutes walk away as well as the shops.

Our stay here at The Star has been so enjoyable & memorable for us. Staff were so welcoming and helpful. The room service is 5 star. The different ranges of restaurants and bars had us spoilt for choice. The pool is amazing, It has such an awesome vibe with staff offering free jugs of water to everyone. Staff are always smiling and genuinely wanting to go out of their way to help, the music is clean and crisp from the new cabanas all around the pool. Best hotel I have stayed at on the Gold Coast. Definitely be back again for another mini getaway! Though we were staying in one of the cheaper rooms. The room was immaculate and the bed is by far the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in.

The restaurants cafes and bars are top notch and the staff are great. If you want an interactive casino experience I wouldn't bother though unless you're happy with gaming rather than actually playing against a dealer. A lot of the roulette type games were on screen. I want to play at a table with a bit of banter and human interaction. I can game at home.

Have really enjoyed my visits to this casino. It is much better than Treasury in Brisbane. They have one of the best value for money seafood buffets that I have been to. Can’t wait for when they finish building the new hotel. I have stayed here multiple times and the rooms, though a bit small are really nice and always have a good time when I visit or stay here.

We stayed at the Star Hotel for 2 days with the kids, spent hours at their pool, and please try their Strawberry Daiquri at the pool bar. Amazing! We ate at the Mei Wei Dumpling restaurant for dinner, and the whole family loved it. Delicious food and very affordable. Every staff member we came into contact with were very friendly and professional.

Had an amazing overnight stay and the renovating, The Star, hotel. Staff were incredibly friendly. The rooms were clean and tidy. And all the food choices were incredible. Definitely can't wait to come back when the renovations are complete :)

Since the rename the casino has been slowly going through a refurbishment, so far it's going well. Some areas are aged, but I'm sure they'll be addressed. Staff are curtious, areas are clean. Good variety of places to eat and have a drink. Gambling tables are laid out well. All in all a good place to visit for a bit of fun.

Very good staff, helpful and good service. My room was newly refurbished and beautiful. Very comfortable will definately come again.

Could not have asked for a better experience! Stayed here before the renovations, and it doesn't even compare to its current state! Very luxurious, even with renovations still going on. Staff are professional and accommodating, and you cannot beat the location. The new restaurants are amazing as well! Definitely recommend.

Place looks new and modern on the surface. However, not sure how it's rated on its cleanness,. 1. Coffee or tea stain can easily see on the edge of the table 2. Toilet was not clean properly and hairs on the floor for 3 days during the time of my stay 3. Had a beer in the room didn't aware the lid was on the floor and when me and my friend back to the room after long day… realize it was on the floor. 4. Windows from the room is dirty it kinda ruining your mood to enjoy the view… Don't except a lot but it says 4 stars so… it should be better than this. Come on!

From Valet parking to an awesome room and then a fantastic dinner at Kiyoti Japanese restaurant all while having great friendly service from all the staff. 5 stars all the way.

I stayed at the Star on a recent holiday and I was highly impressed. The rooms and the new hotel are great, the staff is so lovely and everything is so clean. Would definitely go back and stay there again!

Fun night at the casino. It was quiet enough to get a seat at the tables, but not too busy. Make sure you don't wear rubber thongs. You won't be allowed in after 6pm.

Decent casino experience. Went in to play some blackjack, table minimums much higher than the Treasury casino in Brisbane ($25 a hand as opposed to $15) but all tables were active so I guess whatever works is good. Decent atmosphere.

Always something going on there. You can have a drink, watch sport or listen to music. Service is always great. It is easy to get to and prices are pretty much standard but you can get a discount if you join the Star Club.

Great place for a night out. Gets busy on Friday, Saturday nights. Cant wait for the renovations and new games and bars to open♠️

Went there to see three Mayweather-McGregor fight. Was great, parking was easy, they had former pros there talking about the right before hand and between rounds. It was above what I expected, staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great.

The location in Broadbeach is easy to get to and the hotel has excellent free parking. The staff are all friendly and helpful. While ideas I've had a chance to eat at most of the restaurants and found the wonderful and appropriate to their price point.

Have not been here in years and wasn't disappointed, spent a few hours at the garden bar, happy hour and service was good! They make a great Espresso martini, very judgemental when you live in Melbourne. Their cocktail pitchers are also good value and are tasty. Would be really nice on a warm sunny day and warm night. Oddly very quiet for such a big space on a Thursday night, but was good not having to battle crowds. Will be better once they have finished renovating and building the now part of the hotel.

And why it took you 5 minutes to attend the scene. Disgrace. To the vile thing who hit the guy last night with wineglass after he warned you several times to go away from him and his family or he would tip his beer on you. The actions of your group and the vulgar language and attitudes you displayed were repulsive. While he was walking away you commit such a dog act and hit him I The side of the head from behind with a wine glass you spineless animal. Your gender is the only reason you walked away from that. But your no lady, your a guttless Skank and the pleasure you appeared to feel by the look on your face was horrendous. You loved it. Your a SICK excuse for a human being and the security officers @ Jupiter's Casino have contributed to your sociopathy by letting you believe you got away with reckless behaviour which could have resulted in the loss of life. One doesn't have to be the Treasurer to determine how you managed to acquire that but my guess is someone of your obvious low moral standing found a few ways. Just know that you are the lowest form of life and I hope the CASINO take their DUTY OF CARE seriously. You should be behind bars. Skanks like you should be drinking from plastic cups if even allowed to drink in public at all.

The hotel rooms were good, although with the renovations it was sometimes noisey. The restaurants and bars within the casino were good and well priced. I would stay there again.

We were unaware of the construction going on until it was too late to cancel, luckily we didn't cancel because we had such a great time! Won $250 on the pokies and the staff were exceptional. We stayed one night for my partners birthday and got to check in early. The room was clean and quite lovely, but understandable for why they are reconstructing all the old rooms. The spa was nice but could have been warmer as it was less than luke warm (but this was towards the end of the night, 8ish). We were however, woken up by hammering at around 8, so if you want to sleep in, probably not best to stay here until they have finished rebuilding. Overall, we will definitely be back when the finished hotel is done! Cannot wait to see the beautiful rooms they come up with. Thanks for the great night!

It's the best place to stay for someone like myself and hubby because we are disabled and everything we could need or want is right there for us. The meals are amazing and the rooms are very tastefully decorated. Which brings me to the beds, quite cozy and comfortable but sometimes the pillows aren't the best. Then we have the shows and casino, my favourite place. (Naughty girl). That's about it except to say staff are very helpful and polite. They do their best to please.

A great night out for the gold coast and must see for tourists. The is normally live entertainment over the weekends. And on free movies on Monday night for members. (Membership is free). And great selection of restaurants and the casino tables are open 24 hours.

Been a customer for over 8 years and been particularly eating at Food Fantasy. It is a buffet style dining experience with high variety of food such as fruit (orange watermelon etc), salads, deserts (ice cream, cakes etc), roast (lamb, ham, potato and pumpkin), and everyday there is a change of the warm food last time we had noodles, fish, rice. Before in the last I recall having spaghetti with meat ball sauce tasting amazing. Part of the payment includes sof drinks for free and water but all alcoholic beverages and coffee is not included in the buffet price so expect payment. Staff are very friendly and approachable ranging from different cultural backgrounds. Recommend to check Food Fantasy during lunch time and at dinner seafood is available Other restaurant in the casino include Spinners, an Italian restaurant called Vivo which is excellent, are the best lasagna there and the deserts are pieces of art. The gambling section is quite nice, there are heaps of pokies machines available and lots of card games including, Blackjack, Texas poker, Roulette. J Bar ks available in the gambling section to have a drink and food is available near the J bar. Awesome experience recommend to check it out They recently opened a new restaurant called Garden Kitchen with a large open interior that stands out. Will visit Garden on my next visit!

Great atmosphere in both bars where Live music is playing. Bar staff were very quick and attentive. Dress is also casual which is good. Would like to see more New Zealand Beers though.

Kiyomi Japanese Restaurant. The food was amazing. So well cooked and packed full of flavour. Service was also great with the staff taking the time to walk through the entire menu and good coming out quickly. Parking was free and as long as you are early, relatively abundant!

I have been to Jupiters casino many times in the past and have always been impressed. The venue is always very clean and very stylish the food and drink is always excellent quality and good value overall. The gaming area is fantastic there is great atmosphere the place always looks well thought out and clean Jupiters casino has fantastic operating hours and is always a great place to go have food or drinks as it is almost always open most days of the week and almost all hours of the day and night. I have always recommended friends and family to eat or drink at Jupiters casino as it is always kept it standard up very high.

Coming from Melbourne the gaming floor seemed a bit small at first. It has a bit of a lighter more relaxed feel than other casinos. Although I realise it is an intended quirk, I am really not a fan of being served a drink in a jar. Otherwise it is a pretty nice place.

Jupiters has always been a different environment Very Gold Coast which set it apart from other Hotel / Casino complexes. The atmosphere as you walked in and especially Spinners restaurant set it apart and gave it a unique ambience. Unfortunately the recent changes and closure of Spinners are disappointing to say the least. It just feels like walking into any old RSL Club or Surf Club now. Bring back Spinners and don't expand The Food Fantasy Buffet. There is nowhere to just turn up at any time and get a decent meal without booking ahead. Spinners was ideal in that regard and the food was always spot on. Casual but classy. Buffets are terrible with everyone breathing over and coughing into the communal food. Such a shame to go generic instead of keeping the Holiday / Gold Coast vibe. We used to love it there because of Spinners but now we will not go there. No Spinners, no us. We drive up every year from Melbourne and look forward to Spinners specifically. Very poor decision. Bring Spinners back.

Casinos are evil. But there's some nice food sometimes. There used to be a mini arcade on the pool level. For quite a few years. I discovered one of the best shooters of all time in that arcade. DoDonPachi. Amazing game. Whoever was in charge of selecting machines in those days, hats off to you. Incredible taste. Unfortunately the machine was replaced in later years. But it wasn't all bad news. Street Fighter Alpha 3. My favourite iteration of Street Fighter. But… by this stage, the mini arcade had become neglected and the machines had fallen into a state of disrepair. Busted joysticks and broken buttons. And they were left in this state for years. Until finally… a few weeks ago I went to check it out for the first time in a year. It was gone. : (Good bye mini arcade. Thanks for the memories. Air hockey with my niece. $1 per play of broken SFA3 with my bro. And DoDonPachi. I'll miss you most of all. Jupiters… Needs more arcade.

Great place. Casino is good with good tables. It's kinda small tho nothing like crown in Melbourne. Food is great with a top buffet. If your staying in the hotel the rooms are great pretty good for an old hotel. Pretty cool place to stay as the bars are open all night. The main bar is full of cougars haha.

I once bought a pair of suit pants from a shop in Robina and the sales assistant said "I should take my girl out somewhere fancy like the casino". I almost put the pants down and ran out the door but they were for a friends wedding so didn't really have the choice. That said, the casino is nice but I wouldn't necessarily describe it as fancy. The bars seem to attract all sorts and the actual casino seems to get the best of them. But it is a fun night out as long as you leave with a bit of money.

Stayed at Jupiters for Nye 2014 and it was quite pleasant. The rooms require a makeover however I believe that is in the works. I had a strugle with the front desk as they booked me two singles for a couple but managed to sort that out. Would like to stay again after the renovations.

This casino has excellent restaurants in offer. The buffet style restaurant in particular is of a very high quality and be beaten. The pool area is. Also very good and well worth spending time at. Nearby Pacific fair is a short walk and is fantastic for shopping. This location is a great place to stay for holidays and attending work conferences. The rooms are tight, but clean and modern. The casino area itself is old and outdated. This is no longer a premier destination for gambling, although competition is still limited in Queensland.

Despite some people knocking it — don't gamble (I know it's a casino) and use all other facilities and you'll love it. Spinners restaurant is pricey however take a look at the monthly special which is always great value. Food fantasy buffet although not the best ever is reasonable — Nov '15 update: price hiked from $30 to $35 for lunch without any additional benefit for the buffet so I'm revising my review from 5 to 4 stars, still good value though. Also, the pool is great and they finally got the spa baths however still not a single shower by the pool — very strange! Gym is outdated looking however roomy and has all the equipment you could ever need. Not sure why it's not 24x7, example — Sunday opening hours are 9am — 3pm, not the best if you want to have an early Sunday workout.

One place to avoid in Gold Coast! Probably the worst casino in Australia and very outdated. Hotel room was really really old … not really worth the money. Atleast 3 lights were not working, shower head was rusted, bathtub looked ancient and dirty, shower curtain looked cheap. Checked out the very next morning and rented a serviced Apartment across the road, for about the same price, which was a 100 times better. The staff members were polite. Over all experience was very poor.

Shit Casino, I spent $100 on pokies on night and did not get free spins once, I sat next to an old lady who said she had spent $400 that night $300 in the high rollers and $100 on the main floor and she said she hadn't got free spins once that night either. Everytime I've been there the security guards have been rude and arrogant. I've been to most of the casinos in the big city's across Australia and this would be one of the worst! Defently behind, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. The casino is old and small. Hopefully when the renovations are done there will be a lot of improvement on the main game floor. If your holidaying in the Gold Coast and want to go to the casino I would recommend going up to the Brisbane casino instead.

The Casino Buffet and Spinners Restaurant, Yes their food is really, really excellent. Top Quality… The Poker Machines for the small time players definately do not pay. We lose everytime we go there. We only play the one cent or two cent machines. One saturday after lunch, four of us lost $500 betwen us. Not any of us won anything. Then several saturdays later, the four of us lost again, $500 between four of us. It is just impossible to win. One after machine after another machine will just take your $20 or $50 note in a blink. I did get the free spins on a machine playing $1. I won 50 cents. Not joking 50 cents. I asked to see the Gaming Manager. They all use the same speel "that happens to my wife and I when we go out".! or "come back next week, it may be better". It is obvious Jupiters have their own "government regulations"…

Good but they should have done a massive upgrade long ago. With all their money theirs no excuse really.

A bit far from where I stay (surfer paradise). And a bit far from light rail station… (I'm tourist and I'm using public transport) … and it's a bit dark to walk from light rail station to the casino.

While I can't vouch for the accommodation, the casino has a very different atmosphere from what I am used to coming from Crown in Melbourne. Tables start at $20, the game rules are unconventional (Blackjack Challenge) and the dealers are no where near as friendly. One thing to take away is that the drinks and entertainment is excellent, but prepare to spend all your money in a short period if you're not careful.

We enjoyed buffet on Sunday night. It's resonable price all you can eat.

I've been to two major functions at Jupiters and both times were very impressive. The venue was decorated very differently for each event but it looked amazing on both occasions. The food was delicious! For the second function I was able to stay at the hotel for the first time. The room was a bit dated but still clean and had all the necessities. Would have loved to have a music channel available on the tv, like Channel V or Music Max. Looking forward to seeing what renovations bring.

Pokie machines at Jupiters casino are terrible. Every machine is set up to take approx. $100 before giving a free games. Spinners café is expensive, and just reasonable for the food. Have a look at the condition of the menu's, they look like 1990 's pieces of cardboard. Staff seemed ok. The place was nice, and had some ambience. But it really is a rip off with the pokies there. dont play them. You WILL Lose for sure %100.

Biggest waste of time and money. Not acceptable at all, 5star rooms are really 2star. Renovations right outside our rooms in the morning not to mention we were not informed about it at time of booking. We shifted to an apartment in surfers paradise which is a lot better at a better price and the view is absolutely divine. Do not recommend this place at all unless you feel like spending 7$on a bottle of cheap water and getting your clothes washed for 4$ per pair of socks. The staff on the other hand were absolutely amazing. Always able to help and it is a convenient place otherwise.

Huge ques for restaurants and snack bar, even in the middle of winter. Especially avoid if you would like to watch a major sporting event. Staff prefer to have fashion TV on the big screens instead of people cheering on Australia. Staff really do not care. Outdated and probably the worst casino I have visited.

I surprised my partner and booked an overnighter at Jupiters on the Gold Coast recently — I thought we might as well stay the night as we were booked to watch a show and I didnt want to do the drive back to Brisbane afterwards. There was an error made with our booking which I was not happy about but the Receptionist upgraded our room which made up for the mistake. The room was great — clean with a fantastic view of the Hinterland. We ate at the pub as we needed something quick before we met friends — that was a big dissapointment — service was friendly and fast but the food was dissapointing — I had calamari which was totally overcooked. The Atrium Bar has a great buzz and is ideal to have a couple of pre-show drinks. We met friends there which made it even better. Overall a great experience — perhaps dine in one of the restaurants though.
