We want to thank the management Peta and Mark for going above and beyond to make our first stay at Sunburst Motel one we will never forget. From the moment of making our booking we loved the kindness. We absolutely loved staying here the pool was a massive hit for the kids the grounds where absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The room was very spacious and very very tidy A+++ for your hospitality. We will definitely be returning in the future. Definitely a great motel for families with dogs.

I've stayed in a lot of motels & this one is by far the worst of them all.

Clean rooms and crystal clear swimming pool also pet friendly will defintley be back again great service.

We just spent the best 4 days on the Gold Coast and the Sunburst Motel was the perfect home away from home. The managers were amazing and so helpful the rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. Def recommend it to anyone down that way. Also location is perfect central to all your needs on the Gold Coast. Thanks again.

We happen to come across the Sunburst motel after experiencing the rudest manager, Vicki Laycock at Jadran motel and El jays holiday lodge in Labrador, and cannot of been happier. The most friendliest people who understood how upset we were and they were so accomodating. It is a dog friendly place and the service we were given was amazing.
Everything was clean, neat and tidy and we had house keeping offered every day we were here.
It is a budget motel and is affordable as well as being so close to everything we needed.
They spoke to us and made sure we knew were to go to get food, supermarkets, and catered for our every needs. They also loved dogs and were so friendly each and every day. We had all the cutlery, crockery, and items we needed such as toaster, microwave, iron and ironing board so we were self sufficient and didn’t have to spend a fortune eating out. Everything was great, not a smell of dog and very very clean. Would never go anywhere else now and we feel lucky that we found someone and somewhere that were so nice. Thank you Sunburst, this is exactly what we were looking for in accommodation.

Very clearly a budget motel. The rooms have all the essentials; with no need to empty the fridge of the standard minibar junk. As a place to sleep while doing things at the Gold Coast, it's pretty good. The bathroom is basic, but spacious and functional. The beds are comfortable enough, though I'll mark it down for only having one bedside table. The provided Wi-Fi is a fairly weak signal in some rooms, apparently served by an ADSL link (4.5Mbps down, 0.2Mbps up)

The owners were real nice but the rooms very small air con not working properly and paid way to much.

The Sunburst has a lovely family feel to it the owners Peta & Marc are very friendly there's always a wave to say hi whenever they see you, its very quiet as soon as you shut the doors it cuts out 95% the noise & even staying on my own I feel safe. The best bit though is being able to bring both your canine &/or feline furbaby with you to me that's priceless, there's even a grassed fenced area around the side for them to go to the toilet or you can simply sit and play with them + a park across the road. The rooms are really clean the beds are awesomely comfortable & you can spoil yourself with air con & free Wi-Fi + Coles is a 5 minute walk, its close to the beach & public transport is not an issue with bus stop a minute or two just up the road. The only thing I miss & wish they had here is cable TV however in saying that there's a DVD player in every room, you can rent movies from the office for only $2 all in all its really nice here has a great environment for kids & all the guests I've spoken to in the 4-5 days I've been here have been really lovely & decent. I'd definitely recommend the Sunburst to anyone…

A basic, all you need motel with very friendly staff. My room was spacious and tidy.

Cheap. You get what you pay for. Expect a place to sleep comfortably. Doesn't try to be any more but does the basics satisfactorily. Pool is nice on a hot evening.

Expesive u have 1 room and a bathroom thats it. Very low grade motel.

This is a old clean and tidy motel. They are good cheap priced. Easy to access. Easy parking. Good customer service. Nice pool/facility's. The aircon in the rooms struggle so so much they are way to small for the area they have to cover. We are in the middle of a heat wave so that don't help. Would come back and stay again.

Met the owner last night at our shop. If her down to earth, outgoing and friendly personality are anything to go by, the Motel will be great. Definitely going to book the family in next time they are up.

Just awesome Comfortable, cool, friendly, well priced, dog friendly rooms, so many added extras to make stay more comfortable by family owners/operators. Totally lovely hosts and well patronaged motel. update 20/1/17 accused of smoking in room walked in on in bathroom and evicted early deposit taken not refunded partners medication missing after bins emptied in our absence yesterday. Daughter was in hospital last night with knee injury and cut foot and now trying to leave early from hotel when she not even awake yet totally changed my review.

This is an older motel but clean tidy peta owner is very helpful stayed here about 5 times now only gripe I've got is the TV was too small.

This is a good place for somebody wanting a cheap accomodation and nothing else! Other than that its next to a large noisy road, no cafes/restaurant in walking distance. Not a nice place to stay a weekend at the coast or to make a relaxing trip to recharge the batteries. The rooms are dated, simple, noisy fan at the ceiling, aircon is in bathroom. Bathroom is very large but didn't feel clean, maybe due to its age. The room didn't get very dark at night, I had troubles to fall asleep. But as I said if you want it cheap, this is for you, otherwise I cannot recommend.

Oh best stay ever recommend to all only down fall miss advertising about Wi-Fi an my ph was stolen.

I Have Just Checked In Today, I Am Very Happy With The Service Provided By Management. This Motel Is Family Owned And Run And The Managers Are Very Nice. The Rooms Are Very Comfortable And Are Quite Large. The Rates Are Very Affordable Which Is Great, Also The Motel Is Located In A Great Location With Public Transport. I Have No Complaints About This Motel I Will Highly Recommend This Accommodation. Management Thank You.
