Sandcastle on the sands has been a completely disappointing experience for our family reunion. As there were a number of us attending the unit, we booked out 2 units. 1 and 7. Unit one was absolutely unhygienic having animal hair, sand, dust and dirty through out the unit. I personally had to clean the sheets, fridge, bathroom amenities and floors myself. On my request to use a vacuum, I was told ‘I don’t think we have one’. Upon showing pictures to the agent I was told ‘ I’ll let the cleaners know’ no offer for compensation at all. When my family members arrived in unit 7, they were met with an out dated unit which was nothing like advertised. The unit was dusty and run down. The leather lounges in the unit were disintegrating and blankets to cover them. There was no air conditioning in the bed rooms like advertised and defiantly not worth $145 per night. This was a very disappoint experience and caused a lot of frustration between my family members who were expecting a 4 star unit and not what we received.

Perfect… Don't be fooled by the outward sight. Best location to the beach, very clean!

We have now stayed at sandcastles a number of times with our family and each visit it seems that we get more and more attached. The kids love the direct access to the beach and just quietly, we love that we can perch up on the chairs, under the shady trees and enjoy line of sight to watch over them. These are spacious apartments, older — but they have everything you need for a weekend or week stay. Great work and we will be back!

Amazing slice of paradise, recently had a couple of nights at this amazing place. Its right on the beach, and the newly renovated decks make you feel like you are right on the ocean. The rooms are well equipped & very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and recommended lots of things to see and do in the region. I would highly recommend staying here if you are after a relaxing, worry free escape. Thank you!

Old and outdated apartments that need a bit of tlc. Aircon works a treat for the hot days.

What a great place to stay! Just spent an amazing long weekend there with my fiance and I have to say how impressed we both were with both the location and the unit! I cannot recommend both Sandcastles and the beautiful little beach side town enough!

We stayed here while attending a wedding. We loved staying at this resort. So easy and friendly. A lovely atmosphere too. We recommend this resort.

What a great place to stay, lovely apartments, right on the beach. The new management have done a wonderful job. Ive already booked for another weeks stay in June.

We had a lovely weekend at Sandcastles, the location was perfect, the beds were super comfy and the view, priceless. The management were so helpful when I left an item behind in the room. They really went above and beyond.

Great to see new management, My parents have been staying here for 5 years, at first it was great, but as time went on it became very unkempt and tired and management just didn't seem to care. Will now be recommending to family and friends again :D.

WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! Booked a week in advance and arrived on the day at 3.00pm. Reception hours are 8.30AM to 4.30PM but it was shut. Called the number and the manager advised my room was n. 2 and the keys were in the door. Entered the room and realized immediately the room had not been serviced/cleaned as there were hair everywhere, a dirty towel toothbrush in the shower. Called back 3 times before an answer to inform of the situation and the son of the manager picked up the phone and advised the room would have been cleaned immediately. Left and went back at 7.30pm to find the room had not been cleaned. After 2 more calls I got the teenage son of the manager to come down, he picked up the towel and toothbrush, said he was responsible for servicing the rooms, quickly apologized and left, room still dirty. I left the hotel that night and went back the following morning 9.00AM to talk to the owner and get a refund and found reception was closed and the phone number unanswered. I have been charged full price for that night, asked for the invoice to be sent to me three times but never received one. don't go there.
