We just love staying hear Leanne and damion are so nice and very helpful everything is just at your fingertips beach, food, you can even walk up to point lookout best pla e to sit and watch the whales go by.

This is our second time we stayed in the same room, great place.

My family and I had a lovely stay at Anchorage on Straddie. Central to pretty much everything. There is direct access to the beach which is accessible at all times. It is a very quiet and tranquil place. The accommodation was impressive and spacious. We had a top floor apartment with a double size patio and ocean views. The apartment was fit out with everything we needed plus more. We will definitely stay again. Absolutely brilliant! Thanks for having us.

Enquired about a family group booking and the response was extremely rude; insinuating we would be “too loud for their establishment”, and not their desired clientele. Typical response of recalcitrant inbred island folk, but not a great way to run a business.

The location is perfect if you are looking for accommodation with easy and private access to the beach. Accommodation is comfortable and clean with good facilities and staff at reception are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

This place just relaxes you the moment you get out of your car. Damian and Leanne are in my opinion 5 star Resort Managers. I look forward to my third visit.

Helpful and friendly staff. Our 10 year old enjoyed the heated outdoor pool. Walk right onto the beach; bus stop at Anchorage. We were too late to sample Sisco's Restaurant next door. Should have booked ahead. Enjoyed our stay. Cooked a couple of bekkies in our apartment. Thank you! Would love to come back.

Great location. Close to everything. Rooms are a little outdated but that makes them better value. Will be coming back.

We stayed there last weekend. Just the perfect spot to kick back and relax in the beautiful piece of paradise. Loved the fact the boardwalk took you straight down on to the beautiful white sands of the beach. Would definitely recommend anyone to go and stay. Thank you.

Had our anniversary weekend here last weekend couldnt recommend this place highly enough the staff were so helpfull took the time when booking in to explain the island as we haven't been before. Will be back definitely loved being there. Thanks guys.

Good accommodation set back about 100 ms from the beach but with a wooden walkway through the intervening bush. Nice large rooms with good facilities and balconies and a good pool. On site restaurant. Five minute drive from Point Lookout.

Great stay! super nice owners, very kind even pointed out the exact tree where we can spot a koala. Well priced. Units are a bit outdated, but right on the beach, with pool and bbq and all the necessary amenities. Much better than overpriced resorts. Highly recommended.

Anchorage beachfront is a beautiful place to stay sometimes you can see the whales way out in the sea from your top balcony we go every 2 years wouldn't want stay anywhere else.

A wonderful family orientated apartment complex with beach access from a private boardwalk! Great bbq areas poolside and a beatiful pool to cool off in while the steaks cook! A great place for the whole family!

Great location right on the beachfront, but you will need a car or bike to reach the rest of Point Lookout. The beach is easily accessible from a walkway next to the resort pool area. The resort and rooms are a little older and haven't been renovated in a while but are clean and perfectly functional. Our room had no air conditioning but it was never close to hot enough that we actually missed it. We didn't even need to turn on the fan during our stay. Our room was spacious and airy with a nice view of the beach. Our room was a little loud with cars driving past all the time and the windows open for ventilation, although there was never any problem falling asleep or relaxing. There is "free Wi-Fi" here but only by the poolside, not from the rooms. Half the time the poolside Wi-Fi did not actually provide access to the internet or was completely inaccessible. So, basically, there's no internet here. Phone reception was also spotty, but this is the case across the entire island.

What a lovely place to go to. We have stayed there a few times since we discovered it. Leanne and Damian are so friendly and most helpful. The apartments are well equipped and always immaculate. We love the ocean view, and just a small boardwalk and you are on the beach. The shops are close as well. We will recommend the Anchorage any time and have done so to our family who went there as well and fell in love with it straight away.

The location is very good and the community is very friendly. The only drawback with the rooms is the lack of air conditioning, but that's alleviated by the cool sea breeze. The beach is only 30 metres from resort. I recommend this resort.

Great location priced well perfect for a family getaway.

Great location with very nice staff. Good size pool with easy private access to the beach. Fell asleep each night to the sound of the waves less than 100m from the balcony. Room was neat and clean with kitchen facilities.
