Change staff, The younger lady was rude as, been going Moreton Island 40 years castaway back when Di, Mark Gale and Nathan ran the shop never had problem till now if asked worth the drive to Gutter bar staff are friendly as.

Absolutely amazing place! We spent our honeymoon here and honestly was the most chilled out place. Castaways was nothing short of amazing, the service the people, all just unreal. The food we had here was bloody great! Thankyou for having us! We will be back!

Just spent an awesome 3 nights glamping. What an amazing experience, staff 20 out of 10. Accommodation 10 out of 10. Canp kitchen had everything you needed definitely be back thanks guys.

I highly recommend castaways the people are so helpful and friendly. Glamping kitchen has everything even down to salt n pepper all you need to bring is yourself and personal stuff you can even buy your breakfast and dinner packs to cook on the bbq. The beaches are beautiful and just a 2 minute walk. Will definitely be returning.

Great Place to get away. No internet/phone coverage, make sure you have cash on ya because the eftpos doesn't always work, but the staff are fantastic and friendly, the accommodation clean although a little dated and the beaches/4WD experience exhilarating. My choice of holiday destination for chilling by far. I can't believe I've never been here until now.

Truly had the best stay at Castaways
Leigha, Darren and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as fun and comfortable as possible.
If your looking for a beachy, relaxed holiday this is it. A short walk down the track and you are at the most beautiful beach with your own wreck. Great for first time snorkelling or kids. The wreck is on the shoreline.
The convenience store and caffe are awesome. The food is delicious and fresh and plentiful.
We will be back guys.

Spent a week at moreton camping with my husband and twins and to say these guys were amazing is a understatement the food was totally amazing and the service was A1 and in trying times with covid mask restrictions these guys pulled threw there buyers and chip meals were fantastic havent had q burger that good in a long time keep up the fantastic work guys.

An amazing place. Highly recommend staying here. Staff were friendly and helpful. Camp kitchen was well stocked with everything you'd need. Shop next door Best of all, it was really close to the beach and Bulwer wrecks for a swim or snorkel. For a super quiet and relaxing stay, close to Brisbane, escape the fake.

My son and I recently stayed at Castaways for 3 nights and had a great experience. The glamping tents were awesome, the camp kitchen is very well equipped, 100m from the beach and a handy little store on-site! Friendly staff and a great atmosphere!

Perfect glamping accomodation with all the bits-and-bobs just a few metres from the beach. Very friendly staff that's never troubled to help.

We had the BEST stay at Castaways! It’s the perfect combo of relaxing camping feels, with the extra comforts of a raised floor, great bed, en-suite (with flushing toilet! ) and fully equipped camp kitchen! The cafe on site does an amazing eggs benny and other delicious things for the days you just can’t be arsed cooking, and has lots of supplies for things you forget (or in the event you drink all you beer too quickly… commenting for a friend) While beautiful Moreton can do nothing to stop the rain from falling, I can assure you the tents are 100% waterproof and very cosy to curl up with a good book. When the weather turned to what can only be described as a torrential downpour, our stay was just as enjoyable because the team went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We can’t wait to go back!

Hubby & I dropped in for the big breakfast omg I don’t normally eat breakfast but this was amazing, we will certainly be back. Lovely laid back spot & a great place to stop for supplies. BIG Thanks to The beautiful young couple who work there Adam & Kirra for being so helpful after I took poorly & The Ambo were called (100% nothing to do with the food) Wish we’d got the names of the two nurses who were luckily at the cafe who looked after me.

Annual holiday, … again a couple of weeks, glamped on a remote island that has no mainland power or services, and no hard roads, yet Nathen, Lee and all the guys at castaways provide a place that is a home with eveything thats needed. Food is spectacular, glamping is the best and the smiles priceless. All amongst the tress, sand and natural creatures of a remote island national park. I will continue to spend all my anual leave from work here.

Thank you Nathan, Daniella and team for assisting us when our car broke down on our first day, first time at Moreton Island pretty much the day went crazy and you guys assisted us patiently. Thank you for the food it was delicious the burgers are massive great servings too. The cabin was clean and tidy thank you. Oh and on our last day we have left our expensive Wi-Fi outside the cabin as we are all waiting for the tow truck. Castaway team Nathan have kindly deliver it to the boat prior of us departing this was an awesome service and we deeply appreciate it. You guys are awesome and helpful. We will see you guys again! Thank you ☺️ once again Castaway Team!

Wow, I have just had my first experience of glamping for a few days at Castaway's at Bulwer on Moreton Island. This experience was available to me though the ladies group Adventure Angels 4x4. We all found the staff at Castaway's very friendly plus we enjoyed great value, huge, healthy and extremely tasty meals. When you visit do yourself a favour and try the Sweet Potato Chips and Chilli Jam. The grounds are lovely with native trees that attract birds, the fire pit is perfect for night time entertainment and the site is just a short walk to a beautiful beach where we saw a couple of stunning sunsets.
Many thanks to your staff, you sure have a great business.

Just got home after 3 weeks camping at Moreton, very sad to leave this beautiful Island. Thought I was going to miss out on my morning coffee, but the staff at castaways didn't disappoint. Also tried the burgers which were huge and the kids loved the chips and gravy. The chocolate brownies were to die for, the best I have ever tasted and I will definitely be going back to visit again. Nothing is too much bother for the friendly staff, especially Sam who always made a big effort with my family and friends to make sure we were having a great time. We will definitely be back to Castaways on our next holiday. I will wait with baited breath for the brownie recipe Sam, thanks again x.
