We stay here often because the rooms are always spotless, with comfortable beds, spacious rooms, beautiful en-suite. The staff are all friendly. On the premises is Sylvia’s restaurant and the food is always fantastic! They cater for all allergies too. We were there for Melbourne Cup Day and it was a superb day… stunning food, fabulous prizes, beautiful dresses… excellent event!

Organised a fantastic celebration of life with a beautiful lunch for family in the boardroom followed by drinks on the terrace with friends. From initial contact until last person walked out the door the service and food was amazing, highly recommend.

We recently celebrated our sons wedding at Shangri-La Gardens. The staff were absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The gazebo was on site for the ceremony was decorated beautifully with tulle and flowers and red carpet for the bride to walk down. The reception venue was an absolute dream. The dinner menu was brilliant accomodating all our various food intolerances and was so good that all plates were scraped clean. The service was great with adequate staff to serve in a timely manner and being down at Wynnum meant there was adequate parking for all our guests. We would highly recommend this venue!

The five stars is for the water served at the table. In my recent and extended memory I cannot once remember finding a restaurant or cafe that actually filtered the water. Bingo I've found one. What a change, what attention to detail. Not to take away from the food which also deserves five stars along with the service. Friendly, welcoming, and did I forget to mention the food was five stars? Joking I know I did! Second time there after friends recommended it and they are on their fifth visit. Highly recommended.

I had my 60th Birthday celebrations recently at Sylvia's Restaurant and the Management and Staff were absolutely wonderful and exceeded all expectations of the evening. The chefs prepared an amazing Charcuterie platter for starters and the main course was divine. It followed with a birthday cake lit with a sparkler. Thanks to Brian and Lyn, Managers, for their wonderful hospitality and to Mel and Aron, waitstaff, for being so attentive. I love this restaurant and highly recommend. Thanks for making my special night so very special! Thank you all x.

Lovely Venue. I attended for a funeral and it was a very warming environment. Great service, good amenities, plenty of room to sit/stand. Would recommend.

Rooms were a good size and clean. Very close to the Wynnum Jetty which was great for sun rise and sun sets.

Comfortable friendly and conveniently located. Sylvias Restaurant and Wine Bar is well priced and provides truly good food and beverage.

Attended an event here as a guest. Found the service of the wait staff was completely off. They spoke loudly throughout the speakers and interrupted the event at regular intervals. Food was average. Venue is really pretty, but not worth it.

Staff went out of their way to make the event a success, all at an extremely competitive rate. Very happy with the service I recieved.

Dinner for two, started with a couple turkish of bread with feta cheese & olive oil followed with the entree deep fried calamari, was nice and the main dish was pretty ordinary. But the place & service was good could have been better if there was a soft music in the backgound so not hearing other people conversations.

This place is beautiful! They can cater for your every need. The staff are wonderful and professional. I highly recommend this place.

Thank you to Kerry and the staff at Shangri-La Gardens for looking after us so well, and the gorgeous flowers were so special. My husband and I had our wedding reception a year ago, and to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, we came back to where it all began. It's good to see that our fairytale place fit for a king and queen still has its magical touch!
Keep up the awesome job everyone and don't let anyone dull your sparkle.
