I thought I’d give a plug to an awesome local business. Edward Lodge Brisbane Boutique Hotel is a fabulous short stay option close to New Farm Park, in the heart of our village and walking distance to Howard Smith Wharves. I give them 5 stars!

Very nice lodge, very clean, they have upgraded the beds and showers since last time I have been. The location is very convinient as it is next to the park, Coles and some cafes and restaurants. The lodge provides breakfast with a nice dining area. The room feels home like and the Wi-Fi connection is very good. I recommend this place as you can go for walks along the water, catch the ferry to the city, do some sport and many other activities.

Cute and quaint boutique hotel. Everything is clean and of a quality standard. The breakfast room is really well stocked and relaxing.

Great accomodation. Spent a lovely night with my husband. It's near mcc church. Gay friendly place. I love the entire rustic elegance and warm of this place.

This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. And I have stayed at a lot of hotels all over the world. The people running this place are so nice and accommodating. Fresh and nice rooms.
I am in love. I would considering coming from Sweden to Australia again just to live here. Is not enough.

Perfect location and has everything you need. A pillow selection option would be nice though as the four of us who stayed for a conference all got sore necks from the huge pillows.

A wonderful guesthouse, an intimate dining and kitchen area, with free cold breakfast. Beautifully refurbished in a traditional style that makes one feel as though this is an overseas location.

A charming green oasis, tastefully decorated with very comfortable beds and clean amenities. A continental breakfast is part of the deal and is more than adequate. Decent eateries within a few minutes walk.

Great place to stay, great location with two ferries within easy walking distance and within easy reach of great bars and entertainment, with great staff, great room with very comfy bed and great breakfast it's the only place we will stay when in Brisbane.

I spent 10 days there recently and have no hesitation in recommending this establishment to others. Excellent New Farm location within easy walking distance of good restaurants and the Powerhouse performing arts and dining venue. Large well decorated rooms which are cleaned on a daily basis and very adequate complimentary breakfast in very nice communal ground floor room. On street parking available at all times which represents great saving on CBD locations. Most amenable host in Phillip to cap it all off.

Convenient key safe for late arrival wins me all the time. I'm going to return with my partner for weekend away. For overnight business travel this is great. There is plenty of parking in the street and New Farm appears to be safe area. A pretty location this b&b is gorgeous and good value for midweek stay.

What good fortune to stumble across such a fabulous place to stay. So conveniently close to all that Brisbane has to offer. Exceptional customer service and Phillip went out of his was to return an item we left behind. We will be sure to stay again.

Close to the Powerhouse Museum, cycle/walkway along the Brisbane River, food shops and pubs. Excellent breakfast included. Boutique rooms.

Prior to returning from our cruise we had booked and paid to stay here on our return. As happened while on holidays, plans change when visiting family interstate. As we had no phone service while on the cruise I called the day we returned to request cancelling the room and getting a refund knowing that there may be a nominal cancellation fee for canceling on short notice. I was told by the owner Phillip/s that there is no refund at all. So we arranged our day around and got our family to change their plans to meet us for dinner. After dinner we arrived for our stay and were shown to our room. The room was clean and tidy. In the morning at approx 8am we were woken by a contractor using an electric grinder cutting tiles in the very next room. I proceeded to go to the reception desk to ask what was going on why would you have workmen start during guest stay hours. I said "we were still asleep" his reply was "well serves you right, I was asleep at 9.30pm when you came to check in last night", then " we're not a five star hotel you know". I replied " I realize this however you run an accommodation house and cater for guests who arrive at different times". I would never recommend anyone to stay here with such a vindictive unaccommodating person running the place.

I had a fantastic two night stay here. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, bathroom was roomy. Staff were fantastic — they were genuinely interested in getting to know me, and we talked a bit about travels etc. The location is amazing — 5 mins walk to Coles, bakery, cafes, take aways, restaurants, doctors, dentists, pharmacy — everything! … Plenty of street parking available, and so easy to find — turn right from Brunswick Street and you're there! I will be back!
