I met up with several family and friends for a lunch gathering. The food was really good. We ordered several entree dishes and had them banquet style in the centre of the table they also provided each guest with a small plate. All the dishes were lovley I especially liked the buffalo wings, prawn twisters, calamari and wedges. I liked that we could order from both the lunch and dinner menu giving us more options. I had the pork ribs and they were awesome the meat was so tender that it fell of the bone and I didn't need to use my knife to cut it. Everyone really liked their meals. The chef did make a mistake on one meal and he came out apologised and remade it, and then bought it personally out to the table. We all make mistakes, the way he handled it with excellent customer service and a friendly manner made up for it and turned a negative into a positive impression. We all left happy with our meals and the service provide by the staff. I will definitely return to the Brook hotel for another meal.

The good old Brook. It's always been a ok pub but it definitely needs a complete face lift or rip down an rebuild. Toilets are very old an in need of replacement. It has a good atmosphere amongst the military. Many a session I used to have there but as with every thing else in the area time for a change. The food is average the motel is average but comes in handy for a cheap room. My suggestion is start again. I been going there for 35years.

No pretenses, simple pub. Only had drinks but service was efficient and pleasant.

Suburban hotel that has been taken over by poker machine mentality. If that is what you are looking for … Give it another star maybe even 2 more. Thanks for the reply, and certainly your point about providing accommodation is a good one as options in the area are not that plentiful. I am just going to ask you to forgive me for my anti gaming machine bias, but I have fond memories of The Brook from a lifetime ago when it was a verrry lively joint, one might even say a social hub. Anyway, I am told, that if gaming machines are your thing, The Brook is a good one.

Food was great. Ribs were to die for, service was good enough, nothing out of the bag. Toilets were very tired, could do with a face lift. But food made it a great place to eat.

A small boring pub out of ideas to get people to visit and now karaoke has been canceled. Management really need to concentrate on fixing the amenities, the revolting food and the attitude of the staff first.

Great staff and food motel room was very clean but extremely squashy. Can't open curtains as a bed is jammed up against them. Have to walk sideways up the side of the bed because of lack of room. One chair in room which can accommodate 4 people. Have to sit on bed to watch TV and eat breakfast. Give it a 4 out of 10.

Really friendly staff in bistro. Food was quick and tastey. Kids were welcome. Staff brought coloring out. Lost on pokies.

Im staying at your motel for the night turn on the TV to no remote and a broken tv… I payed 105 dollers a night for this you are seriously taking the piss at me. I will definitely let friends and family know about this. Only reason why I’m so annoyed is I can’t sleep with out TV on… but other then that room was very clean… thanks to the no sleep that I thought I would of got…

Not a bad location for our event. All we needed was room and the facilities offered. Nothing got extraordinary. Decent facilities and lots of food and drink options. Staff were pleasant but very overwhelmed and unprepared for our event. This led to running out of some cold drinks and long delays on food. Would book or attend a similar event again.

Clean basic old school motel rooms. Good bathroom fridge TV jug, lawn & smoking out backdoor, good for smoker as outdoor table and chairs.

Over priced drinks, place needs a facelift. With so much land there they could have a really nice pub.

Great meals, very tasty. I had the grilled barramundy and it was succulent and cooked to perfection.

Family room was lovely and modern comfy beds. Free breakfast packs/ Wi-Fi/ drink vouchers for the bistro where we had a nice meal with wonderful service will definitely stay again…

Was here for a wedding reception, the staff were very nice and the food was good.

I attended a wedding reception at the Brook Hotel and well, the service was okay. Drink selection at the bar was poor and some of the food was good some not so much and the venue needs updating as it looks a little warn. Didn't stay in a room. Overall the night was good though I personally wouldn't have my wedding reception at the Brook Hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff… Great food. Stayed in motel for six days. Was perfect location for us. Have already booked a return trip.

Just spent six nights in the motel section and was very comfortable. Although the building is obviously getting on in age, everything in the room had been updated and was spotlessly clean. It was very quiet with next to no traffic noise. The free Wi-Fi was nice and fast and didn't falter. The only downside to a late afternoon check-in was venturing into the public bar to alert staff I wanted to check in — surely an alarm could be set up for when people need to check in and the counter is unattended. All in all, I would happily stay here again.

Good food at the pub. Seniors meals. Accommodation comfortable and reasonably priced for Brisbane. Staff very accommodating, helpful.

A really bad place for chefs to work poor working conditions as it can get bissy with only one chef in the kitchen the pay is useless and the food isn't that great and it is an old pub and the kitchen is old.
