Very handy location for Darling Harbour, with multi-storey parking behind. Kitchenette is useful if you want to cook. Nothing amazing, but adequately comfortable & clean for the budget-conscious traveller. There was also a sofa bed in our living room. Hardly any through traffic, so no traffic noise, but some noise from hallway area/other guests. I intended to use the indoor pool (remember your swimmers! ), but we were too busy seeing the sights & ran out of time! Polite and efficient Reception staff. Fabulous coffee/breakfast on the go from the little shop next door.

Great location. Brilliant apartments. House keeping services are great. Only issue is lack of charging portals in the rooms. Also, in my apartment, heater doesn't work.

How do the photos make it look so good? 4 star? Rooms are dirty need a good clean. Looks like they've been lived in not stayed in for days or even weeks at a time. Energy saving bluish white lights adorn the entire apartment which gives a 7-11 feel when you get there after a big night out. Plus the walk through the carpark to get to Darling Harbour was an unexpected bonus! If it was cheaper it'd be acceptable but unfortunately it's not.

Very interesting architecture, particularly in the common areas. The rooms are spacious and have a extremely high ceilings. Bathrooms are modern and everything is very clean. Surprisingly quiet inside the city view rooms given the chance proximity to a major road. A pleasant place to stay.

Really nice, love the old feel of this place, it's beautiful… Rooms are modern, sleek and have everything you need. Edit: Toilet broken, aircon broken, no hot water. We were moved to an upgrade which was clearly not an upgrade. Edit: Moved to a different room, everything is as it should be so far… Edit: Electrocuted by toaster and told when putting bread inside don't touch the toaster at all because it what they do, most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

Cannot recommend this accommodation at all. Rooms in need of refurbishing (chipped paint, scuff marks on walls, stains on carpet and generally unclean looking). Air conditioning did not work, toilet had to be flushed twice to be effective and no double glazing on windows even though room looked right on to the freeway. A positive was the helpfulness of the young lady on reception who did her best to help. We were booked in for five nights but left after one and paid a $250 penalty for doing so. We are now staying at other accommodation — beautifully presented — and at the same price per night.

Very good location and decent, big apartments. I stayed in a two bedroom unit which had two bathrooms and three toilets, a large kitchen, dining area for 6 and a decent living room. The apartment was clean and had every amenities. The only downside was the internet which is unreasonably expensive.

Very nice apartments. Very clean. Staff nice. One of the cheapest hotels I cld find. You pay a bit extra for parking but a huge complex is conveniently located right next door.

The hotel is in a good location. Overall the stay was good. Through hotel is a little tired however was in good condition. Through staff were outstanding. Extremely helpful. Darling harbour was about a 10 minute walk.

Has the potential of a world class art venue. Currently on is The Red Project, an exhibition showcasing art by local women artists. There's also a great coffee shop and community garden. Fabulous!

Oaks Goldsbrough is located in the Pyrmont area… 10 mins walk from the famous darling harbour and the star casino. Oaks offers comfortable one BHK accommodation ideal for long stays… fully furnished kitchen and all amenities…

Was quite happy with the accommodation for the price. Spacious and with a kitchen & full-sized fridge & freezer, perfect for more than one night stays. Location was very central to our needs, pleasant view and the pool & jacuzzi didn’t disappoint.

Main reason for staying here was amazing location and the in built kitchen and laundry. Rooms were top quality and there is nothing negative there. However there some big negatives. No Free Wi-Fi (guests only get 30 min free) this is a huge downside since every hotel I can remember has offered this service before. In 2018 I think it's essential. Since the hallways echo alot you can hear all sorts of noises coming from across the floor. It's manageable but can't be avoided. Just due to the design if the place. Overall staff were nice and rooms were perfect, location was spectacular.

Great room, very clean with daily service. Kitchen only has two of anything, plates, bowls, spoons. Location is really close walk to darling harbour, contemporary art museum and there's a ferry to circular quay. Check in was Ok. The guy spoke way too fast and we had to get him to repeat things. There's also a charge for using credit cards. No fan in bathroom and the traps are the wrong way round so we kept burning ourselves. Despite the little things, was a great stay and would stay here again.

Location is the highlight of the place. It's 5 mins walk to darling harbor through a bridge connected to the hotel. It also has an indoor pool and gym for fitness enthusiast travellers. Also has a cafe and convenience store inside the hotel building. Very spacious rooms with all amenities. Had an amazing experience.

I was visiting my family who were staying here. Everything seemed nice. The room was clean and modern. The hotel as a whole had a very nice historical feel to it.

Very very very good location. But units in top floors have better natural light. Rooms next to the corridor have no sun light and very noisy at night.

Nice hotel for the price. Bed are ok, amenities and security. Good night sleep is assured. Location is convenient and near the Darling Harbour, about 10min walk? Great view of landing airliners in the distance and the harbour Bridge. But nothing memorable here.

Perfect place to stay for a visit to Lyric theatre. Just a short walk down the street. We took the train to central & caught the Light rail ($1.60) to a stop at the carpark adjacent to the hotel. Great in the rain. This is also directly across the road from the entrance to Darling Harbour. So convenient. Our room on the 10th floor was quiet and refurbished. (carpet was frayed but it didn't bother us) The room was very clean, for longer stays we could have cooked and done washing. The staff is very friendly and efficient and the secure bag storage after we checked out was welcome. The train station charges $11.00 per bag for a couple of hours. We'll definitely be back. Hopefully next time for a week. There's so much to do in Sydney and this accommodation is ideally situated for a reasonable price. (Seniors can travel on ferries, buses and trains for a maximum of $2.50 per day)

Conveniently located near darling harbor. Had a rustic charm to it (was a warehouse in 19th century that later on got converted). Decent rooms and amenities.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can see them on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Terrible, rude, hostile customer service. "Customer Service Supervisor" — Ian, a storm in a 4.5-foot teacup, succeeded in making check-in so unpleasant, we requested to cancel our stay to which he insisted our "security deposit" (a $75 fee added on and charged to your credit card on top of your pre paid room along with your credit card details and government photo ID — this cost was not noted ANYWHERE upon booking or upon receipt of booking) would not be refunded. The short customer service girl was unabashedly rude and immature, making a snarl/tongue out face when she passed our invoice to us. It was 10pm and had been travelling all day to be put in that situation to find another place, with no phone battery. Thankfully their security guard was kind enough to settle the staff down (is that all they have security for? for their own horrible untrained customer service? ) and tell them they had no right to make us leave while we were not causing any disruption and needed to book another hotel, and needed to charge phone to do that. I wouldnt recommend the Oaks Goldsbrough and the short young girl as well as Ian obviously have some serious hostility issues that I can assure will be feedback given to many travellers who will now boycott the Oaks chain.

Loved it! So central & reasonably quiet. Large television, oven, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine & clothes dryer a real home away from home. The pool, sauna & gym facility immaculately clean & tidy.

It is a good, decent rental apartment near Darling Harbour in Sydney for tourists. It is economical. Wifi service is there. Staff are courteous and polite.

Oaks Apartments are quite easily accessible in Darling either via road or through light rail. The easy accessibility makes it a great choice for stay. Rooms are good & service is great.

Absolutely dissappointed. 2 bedroom torn carpet, dirty walls and a narrow staircase to have to carry suitcases up to rooms. Area not the best till you walk outside of area. Then ok. First impressions were good upon arrival but slid quickly after arriving in room. Ruined my stay! Changed to hotel.

The dishes in the kitchen cupboards were dirty. The room was dusty and did not feel clean. I left an $800 Armani leather jacket hanging over a dining table chair and did not realise it until I was at the airport. I immediately called them to report it and was told they would retrieve it from the room and post it to me. However, three weeks later and they have not posted it at all. Therefore, I can only assume that a staff member has stolen it. I would not want to stay anywhere that employs thieves on their staff. Furthermore, there is no car parking available for guests and you have to park in a public parking station. This place is to be avoided at all costs.

Good location, easy access to Darling Harbour. Charming architecture. Apartments and facilitates are a bit tired and worn, small rooms that lack any sort of flow. I guess you have limited space to work with in such historic buildings.

Staff were friendly and helpful. They had issues writing out whether our room was ready or not from housekeeping. Add it was already after 2pm when we got there, this was a bit odd but they felt with it quickly and have us a different room. Location is good, facilities are good and price is reasonable. Overall a good place to stay in Sydney.

It has been 7 years since my last stay at the oaks goldsbrough. Having stayed here many times before and remembering the area I booked this accommodation again. I do believe that we had the most outdated room and in fact the whole complex is due for a makeover. In our room we had a phone that didn't work and leaking dripping tap in our bathroom sink not to mention the oven and dishwasher look like they are yellowing and at least 20 years old not quite the modern ones pictured on their website. And the rooms themselves are not a quiet comfy stay you can here every thing. We had a family next door with loud kids and also could here the loud voices echoing down the corridor. The sauna pool are was dirty as well. But what annoyed me the most was upon booking my reservation I requested that I would need a late check out due to our late flight I would of been more than happy to pay extra as well but was told to just ask the day before. Even when I checked in ask the same and was told the same. On the day woke up early went down to reception (because my phone didn't work) and asked was told no they were full, hence why I wanted to book the extra time when I made my original booking. I would hope that future guest do consider looking around the area for other accommodation the only thing good was the close proximity to Darling Harbor other than that very overpriced for what it is.

Awful. Do not recommend. Cockroaches. No spatula or pan in the kitchen. 1 glass cup for a 4 person apartment. Absurd. Bedrooms are tiny. Shower is awful. Doesn't work. Sounds like it's about to explode. Management makes us reactivate our cards and blames it on us when it was really their fault. No one in the apartment required this. Security came to apartment for "noise complaint". And claimed to have been here 3 times already. Couldn't be possible since we just got home 10 minutes before. Weren't even being loud. No music was playing. Overall, do not recommend.

Clean very tidy rooms. All facilities you could need. Nice décor and a very nice conversion of old woodsheds.

Very poor accommodation. Nothing like the website said. Got ripped off pretty bad here, definitely won't be staying here or any other Oaks locations. Bedroom was not made up and rubbish left in the room. They must think it is better for a desk lamp to be on the floor. Power point is hanging off the wall. Poorly designed building. They ate doing a heap of work to the reception area that was not mentioned when we booked. Never again!

It was large, and affordable. I was there during the refurbishment so I was unable to see the end result. The location was great, and the history of the building was interesting.

Room was very run down and unsatisfactory. I know they have high occupancy but no excuse to let the room get like this. Carpets gross and stained should be ripped up. Lino in kitchen all bumpy and lifting. Mold on bathroom roof. Rusty bathroom bin. Dents and dings all in walls and needed a paint job badly. Staff always to busy to attend to your needs. Maybe need to employee more! Housekeeping… Really what house keeping. Harbour view… Well maybe before they started building something in front of you! No compendium in the room — to let you know things. Rooms so small you can't even open the wardrobe to Hang stuff up Best thing about this hotel is the European man who works as the consierge — he's very knowledgable and helpful and good at what he does! Asset to the establishment. Stay all in all disappointing I would not go back to stay.

Adequate for our needs, however our room resembled the website photos in no way! The room needs a complete revamp as it is very tired and outdated. No wardrobe or space to hang clothes although room had full kitchen facilities including dishwasher, bathroom had washing machine and clothes dryer, would make more sense to have combination dryer and give more space. Staff extremely cheerful and helpful. Free Wi-Fi for 30 mins a day was so slow we gave up. Clean towels daily but no restocking of tea coffee used or beds made. Undecided if I'd stay here again.

Nice atmosphere, cozy, something you can't really get from your average hotel room. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The rooms are good but the staff is horrible. I had to early checkout and the hotel is suppose to refund the balance. I had to followup 10 time and still I haven't received my refund. think before you book this hotel. Highly not recommended.

Pros: Nice hotel, well priced, good location, friendly staff. Cons: Poor Wi-Fi reception with only 30 mins free per day per room. No smoking throughout the hotel, even though every room has a private balcony.

I stayed in a double room, with two single beds and a double across two bedrooms. The room was larger than some apartments I've lived in — decent sized lounge room, kitchen, dining room (all open plan) upstairs, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs. Entry was on the upper (living room) level. I was tempted to go out and find half a dozen homeless people to share the suite. The room was neat and tidy, there was an iron and ironing board, washing machine, closet with hangers etc. Foxtel — with Fox Sports! — was a nice touch. Staff were friendly and efficient. I stayed here while attending a conference at Doltone House in Pyrmont — in that respect the location is good, however when I stayed in late 2015 construction work made crossing the freeway and getting to the CBD a bit of a pain. I'd definitely recommend the Oaks apartments for a longer stay, as the room has all the conveniences one would need for a stay of a week or more. More like a home than a hotel room.

The room was spacious and clean wit a well equipped kitchen area and also not too small bedroom. This would normally end in a 4 star rating. But no free Wi-Fi? this is 2015! And the offered rates for the payed Wi-Fi were hideously high.
