Easy to find from the train station, friendly staff, beautiful big room. No complaints.

Really nice place and good layout of the hotel. Easy to find it’s very inviting and romantic. Go for at place to stay while you’re in Sydney and reasonable prices.

We just want to say a massive Thankyou to all the wonderful, helpful & friendly staff who made us feel very welcome from the minute we entered reception. This was our first ever interstate holiday as a family and we have thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Meriton. We would also like to make particular mention of Danielle, Harry & Tatianna who went above and beyond for us during our stay, they are truly assets to your Meriton team and should be recognised for their wonderful customer service. Thankyou again for a wonderful holiday we will surely be staying again next time we visit Sydney.

Recently stayed here with my family. Our appartment was clean spacious and had all the facilities we needed. Very close to the city centre. Great gym facilities. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely staying there when I’m in Sydney again.

Awful hotel! Crazy access to ground floor rooms. Wrong bath plug — call reception request new one — wait 45 minutes — call reception — not sure how much longer it will be. Bedroom heating doesn’t work. Only good thing is the Wifi.

Close to supermarkets, pharmacies and cafe's. Beautiful views.

The whole experience was excellent I would not stay anywhere else while in Sydney the staff bend over backwards to be helpful.

When we arrived we were excited to be staying in such a lovely room, close enough to the city. But when we went to leave we found there was not enough room in the small bin to take our rubbish, then I went to shower and there was no hot water so no shower which makes flying to Philadelphia, 21 hours of travel very unpleasant. When I mentioned this at reception I was told there was something wrong with the system and this had been the case recently and a technician had been informed… no apology. Then I asked could I get to my car in block C parking needing to go to level 4 and then down but was informed this was not the case I just needed to take elevator to one car park and walk to the other car park… with luggage not pleasant.
We had intended booking with you in January but now not so sure. I do not like to publicly write a post would prefer to email but could not find an email address.

We stay at The Meriton Waterloo at least every 6-8 weeks because, for us the location is perfect. Over the last year we have noticed changes. Reception is confused (about everything). Every time we check in, our room is different from the one we reserved & although clean, not as clean as they were. Particularly the kitchen. We still will be staying there, just hoping this isn't the beginning of a big slide down. Please! Could you get your reservations right & follow through. You know! Let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. The staff are lovely but how can they do the job without knowing what they're meant to be doing.

Awesome place to stay! Fantastic rooms coupled with super friendly staff made our short stay perfect. Will be staying here everytime I'm in Sydney. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Nice apartments to stay in Sydney. Set in a nice location too. 15 mins to Circular quay with the bus. It also had a washing machine and a dryer. We felt the apartment was a little too dark but if that doesn't bother you, this is a great place to stay.

Good hotel but — there is no ABC on the TV. Every other commercial channel en masse but no public broadcaster.

This is a great place to stay rooms was clean beds was comfortable its close to the city and the price wasn’t bad for the location and rooms we actually returned for another night on our way back up from the snowy mountains but there is one bad point this place doesn’t take cash we had a massive day driving in the snow and we arrived at 10 pm at night we was tired and had the kids with us we had to find the atm witch took 45 mins to deposit money just so we could check in it was very inconvenient at that point of time but other then that this is a great place.

Stayed one night. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided and staff were happy and helpful with several requests that we had. 4 stars because while we are very happy with our stay there was an issue when we arrived where the person at reception failed to give clear directions to our room resulting in us getting lost only to find that our key was faulty when we did finally find our room. This was sorted quickly and there were no further issues so I am happy to give a near perfect review. Would be pleased to return in the future.

This place was outstanding! My wife and I found it to be very conveniently located to great restaurants, coffee shops, and pubs. Awesome staff and accomidations, also.

Got a fantastic deal on a suite on a Sunday night! The place was gorgeous, really clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable! Also crazy cheap parking for so close to Sydney and right near lots of transit options.

This serviced appartment complex is really 5*! The reception and check in service was excellent, and the suite is fresh, beautifully decorated and huge. We got the one bedroom suite and I felt like in a 5 star hotel, just better! It has washer and drier and the kitchen is fully equipped and spacious. The parking is $15 per day and has easy access to the suite. I liked the extra security feature, that you have to use your room access card with the elevator, and you can access only your floor. There is a shopping plaza with a huge Coles and cafes in a half a block distance. I wish we could stay longer here!

Sean has no consideration for the safety and well being of guests. Yes the room was to sleep four people, understood. Unfortunately two friends fell extremely ill and needed to be taken care of. Security and Sean came through all egotistical for a head count, fine not a problem. I explained the situation, yet he still found the need to push his arrogance. I offered to pay extra just to make sure the sick guests were able to be safe under our care. Still a no. The confrontation ended in myself leaving in the middle of the night. Just to make sure that the sick guests were safe and had a place to stay. The hotel room, under my name and credit card yet I had the decency to remove myself… a customer who has paid for a room and even a parking spot. I’m extremely disappointed that Sean did not have the integrity to understand the situation or offer any optional solutions. Safety is a major priority for me, but to see that this isn’t a priority at the Meriton really, really disappoints me. There was no remorse shown, nor was there any understanding. Very frustrating situation.

Incredible hotel staff, great location between the airport and downtown as well as other sights. The rooms are so spacious and come with full kitchens, plates, silverware and cookware. The pools are really nice and the workout center is even better. I cannot recommend Meriton Suites enough! They're simply the best.

We love Meriton serviced apartments Waterloo. Staff always friendly, customer oriented and excellent attitude. We got a 1 bedroom + studio apartment, very comfortable, tidy and furnitures were new and trendy. The location is great, close to the city, airport, all kind of amenities around and next to Moore Park. The view from our room was really nice. Would recommend these serviced apartments either for business or leisure. An excellent choice.

We had a ground floor unit with two levels. When you climb up to the top level and look at the place what sticks out isn't the "vibrant new furnishings" but all the dirt and filth atop of everything that's normally not seen from the bottom floor. The parking was a joke, when we arrived we had to park several blocks away to check in. Then walk back to the car and then could drive in. However almost every space that was allocated for the hotel was taken… from arrival to actually stepping a foot in my room took almost an hour… The ensuite in the upstairs room also leaked from the waste pipe covering the floor when flushed. And also the lady who checked me in gave me clear directions to the room so I said "thank you very much" and went to walk away… she then repeated the same set of instructions verbatim… so I said "no problem, cheers… and then she repeated the instructions a third time and then a fourth… all of which was perfectly clear from the get go… that was just more insulting as if I couldn't handle taking a left at the door and then a left at the street till I found my unit… I told the lady at reception when checking out about the filth and toilet leaking and I got a "sorry about that"…

Nice rooms but allot of stuff doesn't work. Phone wasn't working, internet is really patchy. Service is pretty standard.

Great location, bus to city around the corner, large coles supermarket and places to eat close by, everything u need in each very well appointed suite.

Reasonable clean apartment. Average service. But very comfortable to stay due to it's size of the apartment. Walking distance to bus stop & park & supermarket & cafe … cost is reasonable & affordable. If we are going to Sydney again. I will definitely consider to stay in this service apartment.

Good location, clean and daily refresh service. Nice place to stay if you want to have a spacious apartment. Building upgrades were going on during my stay but it was no hassle aside from sometimes waiting for the lift.

The most disgusting place I have ever been to. Nasty multicoloured stains (yellow, red and black) through all the layers of the bedsheets including the underlay of the main bedroom with some black hairs. Complained to the helpful Night Manager who was as shocked as we were. He quickly removed the sheets and underlay and was very apologetic. Then after trying sleep; I started having difficulty breathing and began to get itchy eyes. I suspect it was bed lice causing this. I left the bedroom and slept on the couch downstairs instead. This facility lacks the basic necessary skills of cleanliness. We found food splattered inside the microwave; a tea towel with dark black stains all over it in the kitchen. Earlier when visiting the pool affiliated with the centre; we saw a cockroach amongst gummie bears stuck in between the wooden slats of a bench. The balcony doors were stiff and difficult to open gaining access to dirty floors. The apartment wasn't well insulted from the noise of the traffic either. Workmen constantly obstructing our entry into elevators. The glass in the corridors are dangerous as they don't have decals on them and someone could easily walk into it. We were transferred to Meriton Pitt St the following day and didn't experience these problems.

The residential area is huge, very clear and has a view of the park and partial of Lá city. Very close to bus stops.

Great apartment, much bigger than I expected. I stayed there for a work trip, short walk to many good restaurants. The uber cost around $25 from the airport. Public transport isn't great in this area, although they have parking available.

Pros: Huge suite with just as much terrace, well equipped, modern, clean. Cheap parking garage, very easy access to both the city and the airport. More facilities are available, but we have not used them price performance topp negative: Loud (traffic, planes), too few towels in the bathroom, at night visitors (cockroaches) on the terrace.

Have stayed there twice now and have found it on both occasions to more than meet expectations. If anything, I found that on every aspect that one would be taking into consideration, that the service, attention to detail and guest relations exceeded expectations. Have no hesitation in recommending any of the Meriton apts but for myself I will continue to return to the Waterloo one. Keep up the remarkable work team!

Our room was huge, we booked a two bedroom self contained unit and were pleasantly surprised by the space. Everything was very clean, the staff were helpful and it's a great location. We will be back.

Let me say the manager handled our situation proffessionally, however we did not stay with Meriton after it was apparent housekeeping and cleanliness were terrible. The first room we were assigned smelled terribly of food from the previous guests. They were quick to reassign rooms but things did not improve. The second room had numerous hairs in the tub, not just one or two. I phoned the front desk and they brought up the head of house keeping to clean it for is. Except his version of cleaning was to wipe the tub with a dry towel from the bathroom. I requested he actually clean the tub with cleaning supplies but while away we found more issues. The kitchen counter was still sticky and spotted with who knows what, the carpet was spot vaccummed and worst of all… the bottle of laundry detergent had dried blood on it. We left immediately and requested a refund as we would not stay in a hotel that lacks the basics of cleaning. Like mentioned before the manager was apologetic and attempted to offer us a third room which we turned down, he offered to set us up at a different Meriton or phone nearby hotels but at that point we decided to find our own. I highly recommend inspecting a room before staying here until their cleanliness improves.

We were really impressed with the Meriton Suites and were sorry we had only booked in for one night. The rooms were so spacious and we could comfortably have spent weeks in them! We had the suite for a person with a disability and it was way above the usual standard. The utilities (microwave, dishwasher, sink) were set out for wheelchair use, the curtain shower and bathroom space made the shower easy to access. Possibly a cabinet had been temporarily removed from the bathroom because there was no bench and the little shelves next to the hand basin were full of hotel shampoo and soaps which made it awkward to put our own toiletries down. The service was exceptional (thank you Jovanna). However, noise was a big drawback. Our suite faced onto the street and loud voices outside went on for most of the night – perhaps only a problem because it was the city to surf plus AFL weekend? Note for those with disabilities: drive down after entering the carpark and park in the basement next to the lift going straight to reception. If you park further up, you need to negotiate stairs.

Had a few issues with the room keys (stopped working, other people given access to my room). However staff were quick to fix the issues and provided a bottle of wine for the trouble. Room is otherwise lovely, Air conditioners don't work, but that personally doesn't bother me. May upset others though.

Rocked up and room wasn't ready had to wait 2+ hours. Then key stopped working because they changed the room numbers (a note under the door to inform me. Well great, pitty I can't get into my room to read the note, a phone call would have been nice). Then finally relaxing on the couch and my door swing open with a couple looking wide eyed at me, confused as anything because they have been issued a key to my room. So far can't say I'd recommend.

Nice place great value for such a central Sydney hotel, traffic can be a little loud but just buy some ear plugs for the price it's worth it.

I sincerely would like to thank Bianca, the manager, who was so kind to me and all her very efficient assistants from the Meriton Suites Waterloo for their wonderful service. Room 1030 was suitable for a disabled person, because the room was so large & spacious with everything we needed for our stay in Sydney. I would recommend it to everyone. Cheers! Ty Andre.

Really happy with this accommodation. Good ratio price vs what you get. Apartment was clean, had 2 floors, kitchen properly equipped, air con on both floors, staff members kind and helpful. Also two balconies. The only thing I was missing was more TV channels, but you're not in Sydney to watch TV after all :) good public transport connection to downtown (approx 15 mins to get to Central station) — bus station just around the corner, 3 minutes walk — as well as supermarket, restaurants and newspaper shop (where you can buy and top up your Opal card).

Absolutely amazing place to stay in. Really spacious, extremely good staff, great location. The staff helps out with everything, ans groceries and cafe nearby. Right between the city and the airport.

On May the 31st I was in Sydney and last minute needed somewhere to stay I have never in my life had such over the top care and attention. I will be staying again and I hope the young lady Bianca is held on to tightly because her attitude none judgement and true passion for her job actually had me in gears of joy. It was my birthday and no amount of gifts where worth more then her kindness and attention to detail. Everyone I spoke to or come across seemed as though they loved their jobs and where so caring. Thank you so much.

Very good hotel, clean, very helpful staffs, and strategically located. The parking location and access is a bit awkward especially if we bring luggages.

Great service. I was also upgraded to a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment without asking. Beautiful place to stay with great views. And very affordable.

Room was clean and comfortable, bit there were a few details that affected the quality of the start — two very noisy air conditioners in the rooms, and a lack of maintenance in the kitchen… things like the kickboards falling off the bottom of the cupboards, impractical kitchen bench space. Staff on the front desk were helpful and friendly, and quick to respond if an issue was raised.

The rooms are very clean and in good condition. Provided amenities are also sufficient, and there is a Coles and Also nearby. However it is a bit confusing to get around in the building itself, and the parking lot isn't exactly secure.

Large rooms, nice staff. Public transport limited and a little way out of the city.

This hotel has quite an amazing staff, Ones that have been extremely helpful and delightful to talk to. The hotel in itself is quite luxurious, I really felt like I have caught it at a steal price, a family of four for 3 nights in close to 650 couldn't be better. Now to the state of the rooms: — the beds were quite comfortable, lavish in size and decorum. — The bed sheets did have a coffee mug stain, but I didn't as much complain, because seriously it was too trivial to even ruin my stay over. — unfortunately the air conditioning was something you'd remember from the 80's, horrid state. You could see it hasn't been cleaned in ages because of the dust and dirt inside of the filtration system, took hours to get the room cold (summer day). — The kitchen and the living room were conjoined in my apartment, and goodness the sight off the balcony was something to behold. Seriously amazing look at a park or a golf course, didn't have the time to go there but still amazing. Anyhow the location is simply a central hub to every attraction around. Really enjoyed my stay, highly recommended.

This place was great value for money. Rooms have everything you need to cook a simple meal and laundry, etc. Location has pretty easy access to the city.

Any corporation that would fire some one over hurt feelings on the internet, is not deserving of adults' time or money.

Staff were friendly, rooms were ok. Our bathroom drains had a foul odour which was the main downside.

Good value hotel. Rooms have kitchen and laundry facilities, and plenty of parking (at a cost). Location wasn't that great, except for the supermarket nearby. Would be a good location if wanting to go to Moore Park, SCG or Sydney football stadium.

We stayed at the meriton serviced apartments danks street waterloo (room 1218A) for 12 nights. The one bedroom apartment is spacious and perfectly furnished, alongside with useful house appliances such as washing machine and tumble dryer. Beds are large and comfortable. Finding something to eat shouldn't be a problem. Hint: Apartments facing the court yard or located at floors above 10 should be "quiet" enough.

Great room, great view, and friendly staff. Even for a one night stay the experience was well worth a little extra money.

We stayed for a week on the ground floor and the room was actually smaller than it was in the photos. Having said that, the apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed during our stay. The area was lovely being on the doorstep of Surrey Hills, there was a Coles supermarket, chemist, wine store and a range of cafes and eateries nearby with easy transport into the CBD. Only downside it was situated right next to a busy highway so the constant stream of traffic day and night can be heard even with the doors closed. Not ideal for light sleepers like me. A few blocks in then this hotel would warrant 5 stars.

The rooms were neat and clean with very good quality furniture. Service staff was very nice and responsive. Need to have more than just basic TV channels to enjoy. Even though the unit was facing the golf course, the highway makes it too noisy if we open the window/balcony. The overall experience was pretty descent.

We Were CHARGED $100 DOLLARS FOR incidentals for a washing machine door we never used or opened this hotel has a scam set up DON'T GET CAUGHT OUT.
