The best hostel in Sydney. 1minute away from the beach or 15 seconds to a bar or restaurant. If you'd rather stay in — you can enjoy the company of one of the lovely guests from all over the world upstairs on the rooftop bbq/party area that is open for guests all hours. From $35 dorm room accommodation (4 — 8 bed configurations) up to $125 for a deluxe private room with ensuite and balcony overlooking Manly Corso and Manly Beach.

Lovely staff who are very friendly and it seemed there was a good level of support available if need be, but you get what you pay for regarding accomodation. Despite daily cleaning services the room was filthy. The top bunk was unusable due to the flimsiness of the bedframe, and for a four-man room, it seemed odd that only two lockers were available. There could have been a greater level of maintenance on general building health, as there were holes and stains all over the walls and ceiling.

Really good location at a reasonable price. Staff are lovely too. Room was rather messy with a few dead cockroaches on the floor. The rooms also get really hot too!

If you like party, dirtyness and cockroaches in your sleeping room THIS is your place to stay!

Backpackers! What can you expect but the usual good for the experience…

The location is absolutely wonderful. Prices are very good but it is a hostel, so don't expect too much. We stayed in an ensuite room which is still cheap but a lot clearer than the shared hostel rooms.

Is a good place if you are staying for a week and want to have fun and meet new people… Is a terrible place if you like privacy, cleanliness, or need to securely store for your stuff.

Dirty, you cant to sleep while the people are always on party, the bedroom where I. Ve stayed was too dirty with pizza. S boxes on the floor for 3 days, no control, although they have showed xenophia to me. Big nightmare worst feeling in my life, think before book here!

Great common area and amazing rooftop.

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Really nice friendly staff. Room was safe. Good cooking facility and common areas. Also ha job posting board.

Grubby, dingy hostel with a bad atmosphere. Window to the bedroom didn't close properly so it didn't feel secure. Unhelpful staff. Didn't feel welcome.

They lost my booking! I'd paid, but when I arrived, they had no room for me. Unapologetic and pasive-aggresively arguing that I hadnt booked correctly, once I showed them my receipt they angrily refunded my money, directly from the til without record, then refused to hold my luggage for me BECAUSE IM NOT A GUEST! Refused to help me find altetnative Accomodation. I spent the night on the beach, with my luggage. What a wonderful welcome to this city being in transit for 48 hours.

Room was horrendous. Cramped, dirty, full of everyone's stuff everywhere but also abandoned clothing and toiletries. Very hot also. Mountain of dust under the beds. I understand they have cleaners daily but a deep clean is desperately needed in the rooms. Particularly with so many longtermers. People very friendly. Staff not so much, receptionist just didn't seem to care about anything. Good social area upstairs with tv. Very good location. Wouldn't stay again unless as a last resort.

Awesome place to stay, people are so friendly its one big family there never want to leave, all the staff are awesome, reception staff are super super friendly. I would recommend this to anyone!

Good for short term stay only! (Good location but can't sleep) People are super friendly and laid back there. You will meet really nice people here. 2 mins walk to the main beach. Free bread with jam and tea, free Wi-Fi. But facility is quite disappointing. The mattress is destroyed, rooms are chaotic b/c there're stuff that people left behind EVERYWHERE! Hostel needs to do a regular clean up! (seems like they don't care) No noise curfew and wall is very thin. So I couldn't sleep. Very crowded room. No AC but just one fan in each room. Don't recommend going during the hot summer. Small refrigerator so you won't find any space there. No cups so use bowls. My opinion is that this place has so much potential but it is not managed well.

Not fresh air. Dirty. Dodgy staff, be careful with your key deposit, there is a chance do not get it back.

This is a really nice place to stay in Manly. The location is great, next to all the shops and only 2 minutes away from the beach. It is a nice place to meet people, hang out, have some talks and go on adventures. There is a lot of space to hang out with your friends and the rooftop deck is amazing. You have a nice view of Manly. The rooms are clean and the bed is very comfortable.

This is a decent hostel in a great spot right next to Manly Beach. The place has a nice vibe and a good social scene, with a cool roof terrace where there is a BYO bar and they have BBQs every Sunday, as well as being right near to lots of bars and restaurants. The dorms are recently renovated and have plenty of lockers and power points, and there are surfboard racks available if you're in Manly to surf! It sometimes gets a little messy (like most backpackers), but there are always lots of cleaners on hand and the staff are always helpful and responsive if there are any problems.

Cheapest on the block and get what you pay for and less! Can't even make a booking now with this company, called three times in two days and they kept promising call backs, they even confirmed my phone number. Claimed they sent me emails, and "re-sent" emails, I was asking to confirm the email address I had, and got blown off. In saying this, the weekly rate of the private room with en-suite says around $585 (not per person) and even though a single night should have been $85 they insisted to charge me $105 a night, and $840 for a week's stay… even though they are undergoing renovations, more recent reviews still have big claims of poor hygiene and on going issues with bed-bugs. In agree-ance with other reviewers, only good thing about this place is the location.

The place is under new management and a lot is being renovated and they are still going strong. Please go and check it out for yourself and do not get scared away by previous reviews! Great place, location and vibe with a BYO bar on the rooftop, where else in Manly can you find that?!

Arrived and could not enter as the door was locked. Called the manager and waited for 15 minutes. Called again and was finally let in. Manager did not know about our booking or that we had pre paid. Place had various smells of rubbish and unwashed feet and general dirty smell in the hallways. Duvet had a stain on it and mold growing on some unidentified patch of something on one of the drawer tops. Door to balcony didn't lock and the toilet constantly ran water into the bowl. No one present to check us out as the counter was closed (7:15 am Monday as we needed to catch a flight). Location good.
