Just back to Sydney from a recent farm stay at the Cedars. I stay here almost every year and love the experience.
If you want peace, tranquility, time away from the big smoke, views for kilometres, fresh air, privacy and any other virtue you can attribute to the countryside then this is the place for you. If you just want to look at stars then come here! It's not far from Sydney and yet the stars and satellites and meteors are visible with the naked eye. I do not have enough wonderful things to say about this place. The nearby town of Kangaroo Valley is a short drive away so if you require supplies or want to eat out then you'll have to head here. It is a delightfully quaint town so you can have the best of both worlds, an escape in your chosen cottage and some civilization close by.

We were looking for a great farm stay experience and we found it at the Cedars! Set deep with Kangaroo Valley, we stayed in the Sunnybank cottage. Beautiful clean accommodation and even more amazing views. Its a really cosy eco-friendly cottage with nice touches including bread & a bottle of wine. We loved the daily farmyard feed and all the different animals — horses, cows, donkeys, pigs & even peacocks!
