What an incompetent hotel. Receptionist was rude and arrogant, passing the buck to bookings. Com.
How can you accept and confirm payment and booking to be turned away saying it was THEIR fault? You should be responsible for your calendar and bookings. What email did you send to inform us there was no accomodation, where was the phone call? We received nothing…. No care nor responsibility taken. When opposing motels mention the incompetence they have had to assist with other clients in similar situations, this proves this hotel is not worth paying for. Thanks for spoiling our NYE celebrations.

Hello Booking. Com I’d like to make a disgusting complaint about this property. My self and my wife stayed here for 1 night as we had to travel to the central coast for a wedding and we live in Maitland. As the reception was at Swansea we saw this a a cheap affordable overnight safe option. The hotel allowed us to check In 11am to which we were grateful to get ready and travel. But what we walked into was nothing short of a train wreck and a disaster and total disgusting disgrace of a room. Upon entry the room instantly stunk. Had a strong odour and smelt heavy of carpet powder. Large noticeable stains were through out the floor. The floor carpet who knows when it was cleaned last. The walls paint were cracked and patches fell off during the stay. The windows of the room didn’t open nor close and were slightly open and the wind blew gusts of dirt into the room I assume from the car park and this went over the fridge. This made tea and coffee service unusable and the jug has gross water in it. The remote control for the T. V was sticky and we had to use baby wipes to consider touching it. The table was covered in dust and dirt and the black chair also was in poor condition. The bed was hard as nails. The small table outside the door was rusted and falling apart and had cigarette butts from previous guests on it. When we went into the bathroom and we found long dark hairs around the floor which we picked up with toilet paper.

For the price very average.

Not a bad place, the room was clean but the windows wouldn't close and the heater didn't work. Nice bed, TV and bathroom though.

Awesome place to stay, staff are very friendly and provide good customer service.

Lovely staff, a great place to stay for a quick visit. Lovely pool to use in hot days and close to all amenities and shops. Also the lake is only a walk away so taking the kids down to the water is easy.

Staying here with my kids they surprised me for my birthday and not knowing I stayed here with their mother 26 years ago wow.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The room is very dusty and smelly. Carpet dirty. Very old and noisy BOX air conditioner with thick covering of dust on the air vent and air filter (not clean for ages). I washed them before testing. Cups, toaster, kettle, and tray are dirty and covered with dust. Washed and cleaned before use. Spiderwebs are hanging over the ceilings. Outdoor facilities are not working and not maintained properly. Bugs and ants come to the room easily. A mouldy closet in the bathroom. Foxtel and Wi-Fi are not working. Paid $130/night, waste $$$ + bad experience ever. False advertising on the internet. The whole building needs a BIG renovation. Go somewhere else.

U get what you pay for. Beds are fine. Pool is great. It's just a bit tired and broken elsewhere. Great for an overnight.

Disgraceful, Unhygienic, and Unsafe. Smoke detectors removed, no exit plans, bathrooms filthy (old pubic hairs around walls and toilet bowls). I have backpacked around the world and this place is up there with the worst, Beware.

Ideal location for fishos n people who love water sports, ideal rest place, boat ramp across the hiway n walking distance to local CBD, n great feeds at the local drinking wholes, but outa my families price range to stay for a week, but the place looks great from what I did see of it so yeah give it a try some time id say to holidayers, n travelers,

Bed bugs! I know this post is very late but I realised I never got a response to emails and messages I sent way back. I stayed at Blue Pacific Swansea over Friday and Saturday night (14 and 15 April 2017). I was attacked by bed bugs with bites that swelled up and were exceedingly itchy and horrific. I had approximately 60 bites, predominantly on my arms, shoulders, neck and face, then a few on my back, stomach and feet/legs. It's really quite horrible and stressful an experience and of course there was the fear that I might have transported the bed bugs to my house. I spent hours and hours of time pouring hot water over my belongings, putting them in the washing machine on hot cycle, putting them through the dryer. I really wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.

A poorly maintained train wreck. King sized bed was only redeeming quality. Pool green. Wouldn’t recommend.

I spent the last long weekend holiday in Blue Pacific Swansea. We have 4 people and booked two double bed rooms. I enjoy their swimming pool but the weather was a bit too cold when we visited last time. The location is good which near the beach. Their staff are friendly and helpful. Would be better if they got a bigger restaurant. For me I choose to explore the other restaurants in that area!

Left early. Actually straight after seeing the room. Def not for kids. Lower end of the market charging top prices. Needs a complete reno.

Warning — do not stay here — dirty — old — stinks — outdated — place is falling apart.

The staff here have been amazing. After our house burnt down, we have had to stay in temporary accommodation and Joan has been so wonderful to us! Rooms are immaculately clean, pool is amazing, all staff are so kind and respectful. I have my step children and mother in law staying next weekend, and I can't wait to have them here in such a warm and friendly environment!

Stayed in room 10a, there was a cockroach on my bed went to show reception and offered us to move rooms. The pool, spa and sauna were all in " maintance" there was a duck in the pool, the kettel had mold in it and there was numerous bugs in the bathroom, the shower screen was cracked and there was mould lining all up the walls. There was no sink the milk was off, there was no doona on the beds. There is no room service! do not stay here its disgusting.

Great place for a holiday stay. Close to shops and not far to the beach. Friendly staff.

Television depot work, Wi-Fi doesn't reach the room, toilet leaking… King size bed is consist of 2 single bed pushed together.

Stayed in the hotel with my family over the weekend. Absolutely disgusting. Long cobwebs all over the walls, walls dirty and heavily marked, floor felt like it was wet to walk on and we killed two cockroaches in the space of 10 minutes. Definitely not worth the $200 we paid! If I could leave 0 stars I would!

I stayed at Blue Pacific Swansea in Room 5 over Friday and Saturday night (14 and 15 April 2017). Unfortunately the room had bed bugs — through the night I ended up feeling very itchy so went to the bathroom to look in the mirror to find little red spots all over my arms and shoulders. On Sunday morning my suspicions were confirmed when my friend actually found one of the bed bugs crawling around her bed! We killed it and this dead bed bug was brought to the hotel reception to let them know. All the bites that I got swelled up and it is exceedingly itchy and horrific. Sometimes I feel so itchy I want to cry! I counted and have approximately 90 bites, predominantly on my arms, shoulders, neck and face, then a few on my back, stomach and feet/legs. It's really quite horrible and stressful an experience and of course there is the fear that I might have transported the bed bugs to my house. I spent hours and hours of time pouring hot water over my belongings, putting them in the washing machine on hot cycle, putting them through the dryer. I really wouldn't wish this experience on anyone, so hopefully the situation has been rectified and the room fumigated.

Staff were excellent! But I wish the room was a little bit cleaner. The air con didn't work, neither did the TV or the Wi-Fi. Most of the power points were broken or half hanging out of the wall. Staff were excellent though. Just needs a good reno.

The carpet was wet, the bathroom smelt stale no wash cloth had to ask for spoon to make coffee very old need refurbishment really could be nice excellent location that is about it.

Very basic accommodation that wasn't completely clean. Convenient location and easy to find.

There was mouse poo in the bedside draws, bathroom floor was sticky, there was rotting food next to the door that was left there for over 24hrs. The room stank like mould, could not use the ceiling fan as the switch had been removed. There was no front door key. We asked for a double room and were given a larger one and charged extra for it. (Not what we asked for or was quoted for)
Never going back. Will not recommend it to anyone.

I would not recommend this motel to my worst enemy. Not worth the money. $140 a night. No blanket on the bed. No toaster in the room. One light not working. The only cutlery supplied was 2 teaspoons and the only crockery was 2 mugs. Dripping tap in bathroom (probably only needs a washer replaced) Basin in bathroom stained (possibly from the dripping tap). I have stayed in better accommodation at almost half the price.

When we first entered our room the first thing we noticed was that there was no light in the bedroom. There was a light in the fridge area and the bathroom only. In the bathroom the toilet seat had a cigarette burn. When we had a shower the shower screen leaked as it was not sealed to the floor. The wood skirting boards in the bathroom were rotting. The bathroom also did not appear to have been cleaned properly as there was hairs from someone before us. The air conditioner in the room did not have a remote so we could not operate it. This meant we had to leave the window open as it was very warm. This became quite annoying at night when a large group were outside drinking and quite loud until 4am. Also disappointing we booked on the description as having a spa and a sauna. However the spa was empty and the sauna was not working. The pool area did look nice.

This place does not deserve even 1/2 a star. It is completely run down. The rooms and bathroom stink. After spending first night there — we heard so many unexplained noises as well. Waking up feeling ITCHY, the rooms are far from hygienic. The quilt cover on the beds probably last washed 10 years ago if lucky considering the strong dusty smell. The bathroom is very rough and just the smell gives you the hint that it's not properly disinfected. We brought our own pillows — thank god. Ones they provide felt like they had hard lumps in them. Mattress is from the 80's or even the 70's who knows. Bed bugs for sure as everyone woke up with rashes and bites. As for the advertising of foxtel, spa, sauna, pool and Wi-Fi. Well no foxtel, spa was empty, sauna was out of order and no Wi-Fi. If this was the last place on earth to stay at I'd rather sit in a gutter.

The room was not serviced, Beds not made nor clean towels provided. After paying cash for our stay upon request at reception my credit card was also charged after we departed and one month later I am still waiting for a reply and a refund.

Yuck, Yuck and Yuck! I wish I had of read these other reviews before booking — We stayed for a few nights and although the mattresses on the beds weren't too bad, the room was disgusting. The TV did not have a remote and reception was terrible. I changed the room around to suit myself, as one bed was directly under the air conditioner and the other was up against the power points at the head end. When moving the furniture, I found dirty cigarette butts under the couch and other crumbs and broken plastic. The main room did not even have a fan, and the windows were broken so had to stay open, with the fly wire torn. The bathroom sink was stained with something which resembled blood and the shower floor wouldn't drain so we were standing in inches of water. There were broken tiles in the shower, which would be dangerous for young children. We were given one toilet roll for a 4 day stay between 5 people. Nice! Very disappointing. Would not stay again, instead, I would check out the Swansea Gardens Lakeside Caravan Park — my sister stayed here and I was very impressed, despite having communal showers and toilets.

— while the room was clean, it looked like something out of the 70s, the TV did not have a remote control and the channels did not work anyway, the bed had hard pillows and a very sagging mattress, the wireless internet was not working — restaurant service was appalling. My wife's fish was served uncooked. When she asked for it to be prepared better it would appear that they popped it in the oven for a couple of minutes and then gave it back to us on the same plate with hot salad! At the same time I also indicated that the rusty salt shaker was not dispensing salt. While they were reheating the fish I heard them banging the salt shaker in the kitchen until it started dispensing something, salt or rust I am unsure of. The menu was terrible anyway. We asked for water at dinner and it had black spots in it. Breakfast was worse then what you might expect at a youth hostel with no preparation whatsoever. — Facilities like spa and sauna were not operational, outdoor furniture was generally unclean and there was rubbish left around including cigarette butts and alcohol bottles. — While they claim to be under new management I can only guess from other reviews that the new management is at least as bad as the old. AVOID THIS PLACE! We thought we had a weekend getaway with their half price deal. It was well overpriced at this rate.

Don't believe the advertising hype! The most that can be said for this place is that it is very down at heel. The room appointments are battered and the restaurant is out of a bygone era. Few channels on the advertised Foxtel service worked, the bed sagged. Don't bother.

Despite booking ahead and paying in advance, there were no service staff when I arrived. Nor were there any after hours numbers. No Caretaker. It seems the staff just abandon the place. I had to find an alternative place to stay, then had to fight to get my money back, which still hasn't happened. Don't bother with this mob.
