Great place to stay! Close to restaurants and shops, and staff are friendly. You wouldn't know it's usually student accommodation — the room was set up like any other hotel room. Would return.

The best location in Wollongong. Major shopping centre and a variety of restaurants within 150m-200m away; even more restaurants 600m away if you want a short drive. Beaches a short drive away. Staff are friendly. Room is small and basic but clean. Accurate to the picture I saw before coming. We did have a room near the end of the hall but if you had a room close to the elevator it would be annoying as it is loud.

Highly recommend for staying by self or with friends. Not recommended for families. Prime location. Very reasonably priced.

Suitable price suitable for short-term transition to live, crowded rooms, individual room air conditioning can not work smell.

An excellent and welcoming 24/7 staff reception. The rooms are quaint and account for basic needs. The location is convenient for parking (underground and surface parking, plus plenty of surrounding parking spots on the road) and exploring the suburb, close to the local shopping area, popular restaurants for grabbing a bite, walking distance from the beach and some parks, and close to the main road for those wishing to drive further out.

Good deal for two night stay, beds were clean and room was tidy but shower leaked while showering and fridge was very noisy as was the toilet during the night. Unfortunately we were woken up twice by noisy neighbors in the hallway. Beware of church bell outside, if you need a quiet place to sleep look elsewhere.

From student accommodation perspective. Pros: modern, most value for money accommodation offered by uow, UOW Wi-Fi, ensuite, queen beds, A/C, instant hot water, 24 hour office (mostly), amazing location in the CBD, great staff and student leaders, allows for good balance of privacy and community involvement, paid secure underground parking option (not always enough permits available). Cons: Not much of an entertainment space, not enough washing machines/driers, kitchen duty (I rarely use the kitchen but still have to clean it), I pay for parking but can't access the garage after 10pm without buzzing reception (when it's unattended for any numerous reasons I've had to phone the afterhours number to be able to get inside), can't get external access to building after 10pm without going through reception/security, can't use the stairs for exercise (for evacuation only), lock out grace is too low and is starting to look like revenue raising strategy, very little storage space in rooms, street side rooms attract a lot of traffic and night club noises (have to close your windows), A/C are old and noisy (hard to sleep with them on), old washing machines $2 per small load that often leave clothes more dirty, $2 dryers.

Marketview Accommodation is run by UOW and offers an excellent service. It is literally seconds away from shops and restaurants and is located in the heart of Wollongong. Staff are friendly and professional and available 24/7. I had a problem with one of the rooms I booked and I was impressed with the way they rectified the problem with minimal fuss. Rooms are clean and well kept, facilities are clean and regularly maintained. Would highly recommend this if anyone is looking for a good service in Wollongong.

Rooms were comfortable, customer service was good as they greeted us with smiles, and the facilities provided were plenty.
