We recently stayed overnight in a 1 bedroom suite. It was modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant. The food was very nice and the wait staff very friendly. Check in check out was friendly and efficient. We would definitely stay here again.

Spent the night at Mercure Goulburn recently. The room was spacious and very clean with a nice layout. Bathroom was quite large by hotel standards and the shower was divine, I didn’t want to get out. No noise at all from the busy road, long weekend traffic was horrid in the area.
The bed and pillows were perfect.
Breakfast was tasty, plenty of variety, hot and cold and the staff both at the front desk and dining area are lovely.
10/10 and highly recommended.

Nice open plan accommodation with plenty of parking space. Rooms have been renovated three years ago and are neat with quiet, effective air conditioning. Breakfast is available at a modest rate with a simple, healthy food. It is a good stop off point on a trip.

Always a pleasure to stay here! Super friendly staff and some of the nicest rooms around. Lots of parking and the new reception is pristine. Comfy beds and pillows, there's even a Nespresso machine in the room!

The Mercure in Goulburn was a surprise. Very comfortable and wonderfully presented. My only complaint is the dining room is too small and we were unable to book as they were fully booked out. We had to drive into town to find a restaurant.

Great location just off the main road. Very comfortable beds and excellent shower. Clean and tidy. Had dinner at the restaurant entree and main meals were excellentt and the service was great. Would deffinately stay there again.

Privilege King room was clean, large, and particularly a very quiet room. The reading light was broken, and unfortunately no milk in fridge. The Reception staff member that was on duty at 8pm was really pleasant and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptionally good but the bottled white wine prices are far too high for locally produced wine. I would stay at the Mercure Goulburn again. We stayed March 2018. BTW The king bed was fabulous…

Great location. Food and petrol and merino all adjacent. Nice big rooms. Loved that u can park right in front of the room. The staff was nice too. Only let down was the toilet was a bit cramped. But had a great nights sleep.

I have stayed there a few times. We stayed in the king bed room with the spa bath. After riding motorbikes around Tassie for two weeks we needed some comfort and we got it. Great spa and shower and the best king bed ever. Followed up with a fantastic dinner and breakfast. Wonderful staff too. Highly, highly recommended.

The room was clean and comfortable but the bins on the kitchen and bathroom hadn't been emptied. We mentioned this when we went to dinner and the person on the desk said it would be fixed immediately but nothing happened. When we complained again the next morning we were given a discount as compensation.

With limited accommodation choices on the drive from Gold Coast to Melbourne WOW what a relief it was arriving here! The room was a great size and the bathroom was amazing — best shower after a long drive! The location is great straight off the Hume and walking distance to everything.

Nice and quiet. Very good location. Within few hundred meters of the Big Merino. Maccas and servo next door. Nice renovated rooms.

Have been going for years. Beds are like sleeping on clouds! Thank you. Friendly, helpful staff, restaurant food beautiful! So sorry that the pool has gone! Summer in Goulburn, needs a pool! When renovating from Trappers, soooo many beautiful features were covered over. It did lose a lot of atmosphere, log fire, rock surrounds! I will still keep coming back! The best in Goylburn.

If you have ever driven up the M1 from Melbourne to Sydney or Brisbane you will notice there is hardly any visible accommodation. I would totally recommend this place. The rooms are big and there beds are fantastic. There is also a bar and restaurant. There is a petrol station within 100 metres and other alternate food places within walking distance. Finally the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Take the first exit to Goulburn from Melbourne or the second Goulburn exit from Sydney. It's about 300 metres off the highway behind the service station. Plenty of parking for cars and trucks.

Beautiful room. Fabulous bathroom. Perfect bed. I would have given 5 stars but this is the slowest internet in Australia — even my internet at home in a very remote location is faster than this! Ugh! I can't work like this and it's a deal breaker.

Great rooms with comfortable beds and spacious showers. The restaurant is excellent. Very good staff and true customer service.

I stay at the mercure every Thursday I find the rooms are very clean and comfortable £ food is very nice and staff are very lovely and friendly.

We arrived late afternoon and the gentleman at reception was fantastic. Our room was beautiful… the bed was fabulous. We'd definitely recommend the Mercure Goulburn.

Attended a business gala dinner. Upon arrival reception staff friendly and polite. The function room looked new with polished wood and white fairy lights in a netted ceiling. The tables were simply set up, some of the cutlery was in poor condition bent and warped. The sit down 3 course dinner was well balanced in terms of choice and flavour. The entree — belly pork was well cooked, crispy skin and flavoursome sauce. The salt and pepper squid was enjoyed at the table. The purple farce under the salmon skin was odd texture and colour — didnt like it. The Sirloin was med to well and each course took way too long to come out. The dessert redeemed the meal with either chocolate sponge or macademia tart. Both were tasty although the sponge was a little dry but with the ice cream was palatable. The drinks package was ample with a suitable selection of non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. The wait staff seemed a little flustered at times. Our vegetables came out a full 15 minutes before our main course and when asked for additional cutlery at least one of the wait staff panicked. Overall 6.5/10

I attended a professional meeting at their coat room the setting was nice and well presented, the food was well presented and look nice but not tasty or well prepared the room was cold, there were beverages but I had to walk to the bar outside the room to get a drink and the attendant didn't know what type of beer was allowed for the attendees. Overall less than average experience and less than expected from reputable chain like Mercure.

Very nice staff. Lovely room and fairly cost effective. Only downside is noise from restaurant air-conditioning and smokers outside, rooms aren't well sealed.

For a high-end motel, the heating in the bathroom was non-existent. If the bathroom door was left open so it could be heated while having a shower there was a cold draught coming in from the window (which was closed) as well as an unpleasant odour from the toilet. The bed was too soft, no support to an aching body. There was a gap around the room entry door that also let in a lot of cold air. The heater had to be on all night, to keep the room warm.

We've had a fantastic stay! All staff have been delightfully friendly and helpful. Our room was great — comfy, clean and had everything we needed. We had dinner at the restaurant which was excellent. Highly recommended!

I'm not normally one to stay in a hotel when visiting Goulburn, but my partner picked out the Mercure and I said "what the hell" and booked. We were only there for a night but our experience was beyond satisfying. I booked online and forget to mention we would be having a late check in, so I phoned the hotel shortly after and spoke to a very pleasant man whom informed me reception doesn't close until 1030pm and if we planned to be later than this time gave me simple step by step instructions on how to check in! This alone was very pleasing to hear. Other hotel reception desks are unattended from 7pm onwards, it is refreshing to know that the Mercure has common sense in the aspect of realistic "late check ins".
Upon arrival I was welcomed by a lovely lady on reception, she checked me in and offered me an extra room key before I even needed to ask, along with fresh milk. She gave me simple instructions on how to locate my room and was well informed about surrounding local restaurants when I asked. Our room was much bigger than expected and housekeeping should be commended on the attention to detail that was shown in preparing the room. It was modern yet homey and far from clinical, our privacy was respected and we felt very much relaxed and wished we were able to stay longer.

I cannot type enough good things about my stay here. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was one of the most comfortable I have ever stayed in. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was perfect and offered me a great nights sleep. The room was dark and quite at night. And the price was very acceptable. I've paid much more and got much less, but never got this much for this price. After a 7hr drive it was perfect and I was able to leave the next morning feeling perfectly refreshed and happy.

Freshly renovated rooms — converted motel. New smart TV's, free Wi-Fi, New and very comfortable King bed. Huge shower with very strong pressure. Probably the best hotel on the Hume north of Albury — $165-200 for the night but compared to some of the dives out there this is money well spent.

Arrived after a long drive, looking forward to a good nights sleep, only to be woken by what sounded like night road work just outside our window! Trucks reversing and Diesel engines going constantly. The room itself was very modern, tidy and clean. Breakfast in the restaurant was good. Price would have been reasonable but for the noise which had me wishing I'd stayed on the other side of town.

Stayed in March 2015 Clean, friendly, trouble-free. Stayed for one night. Staff very friendly and attentive. Room was very clean and comfortable. Huge, clean and modern bathroom. Great bed. Excellent location for travelers. The Wi-Fi was a little slow. There was an issue with a loose toilet lid — but this had no real impact (my partner didn't even notice). Was disappointed the included breakfast was entirely carb and sugar laden. Would have been nice if some eggs, meat or vegetables were included without requiring an payable upgrade (admittedly only $5 extra).

I come to Goulburn quite often, and I stay here everytime without a fail. A room here costs $20-30 a night more than the motels in the city, but what you get is well worth the price. I've been privvy to buffet breakfasts, smart TV's good wireless connection and an interior that is fresh and modern. Keep up the good work Mercure as I'll be spending many more nights here!

The recently refurbished rooms are almost perfect . I like Blackout curtains Quiet aircons Very comfortable beds Comfy pillows Soundproof rooms Samsung large screen smart tv. Nespresso machine in King rooms. Modern lighting system. Could add Heatlamps in the bathroom.

Best 'best Western' we've stayed in yet! Very clean and modern due to major refurbishments. Staff in the motel and restaurant were polite and helpful. Only wish the indoor pool was finished. Four adults stayed in a room with 2 single beds in their own rooms and a Queen bed in the main room. The 2 seater Brown leather couch was also a sofa bed.

Awesome rooms. Fully modern. Has a kitchen. Massive tv. I'll be staying here again for sure.

Rude and wouldn't have a clue!

I will certainly be staying here again. The staff were very friendly, and very accommodating. My 81yr old mother and I had booked into the caravan park down the road, but were disgusted in the park, so when we approached BW they were only too please to accommodate us for 4 days at a discounted rate. The rooms were bright, clean, spacious, huge bathroom and the complex was very quiet. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.
