Antarctica Hostel Hotel

The truth is that the hostel is very good, and the people and service of 10. But I can not rate it well, as I ended up missing a diver, trekking pants and all my underwear.
A shame!

I liked it a lot. The heating system, the cleanliness the attention above all Gustavo's attention, very good. Thank you. The only thing was when I arrived the room had bad smell. Someone had left their wet slippers inside. Hard to control that kind of thing. Hopefully make the comment to your future guests to leave the boots/slippers outside.

I spent 5 nights in a shared room with 6 people with shared bathroom. I must say the service is very good. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and well heated. The lockers are big. The outlets are not single beds, but a slipper that is slightly removed from the beds. They do not have the bed and the Wi-Fi is average weak in the remote rooms.
The shared bathroom is wardrobe type and is separated from the men's of the women's. It has 4 showers, 4 toilets, 2 pools. One detail: there is hair dryer, liquid soap and paper towels commonly used. The downside is that to access the bathroom, you have to leave the room to an open hallway and down the stairs, which makes it unpractical.
I think there is included towel service, but I couldn't guarantee it because I always used mine. There is a small laundry, which you can access for a cost more than reasonable.
The location is central: in 5 minutes you are in the port where the sailing excursions depart. 2 blocks from the main avenue; and the Presidio Museum (one of Ushuaia's attractions). Tip: In front of the hostel there is a tropical bowling alley; And the weekends are usually noisy.
The common spaces are great; The breakfast room is nice; The lobby has a large armchairs and puffs full of talks and meeting mates or brewers. There is have a balance so you can weigh yourself, the suitcase or backpack.

Apart from having to walk in the cold night air to use the toilets, the hostel is cozy, quite and comfortable, very nice.

Cosy place with friendly atmosphere and helpful crew. If you arrive early or want to leave later you can leave your luggage in a safe room near the reception. Every morning there is a breakfast with eggs, fresh baked baguettes, coffe, tea and juice.

We enjoyed our short stay. Vibe was nice with backpackers past their teens. Breakfast with eggs and fresh bread delicious, and available from early in the morning. Recommend!

The hostel is nice, the staff is extremely friendly. Breakfast is good. The location is convenient as it is in the centre and on foot you can reach every tourist point in the center.

Weil situated not far away from the Calle St. Martin where you find a plenty of shops, restaurants etc. Nice people, nice bar, huge kitchen and possibility to store food, very warm atmosphere. Negative: — water in the showers often oscillates between very hot and very cold. — the upper beds are without barrier, can be dangerous for persons that move during their sleep.

Nice 4 bed dorm, very warm. Staff were not very helpful with any questions while I was there. Breakfast was good. Very expensive. No laundry and no credit cards while I was there, although the website said they had both.

Top bunks are very uncomfortable. There's something about these beds that make it feel like your gong to fall out of it — others in my room said the same thing to me. Morning staff is rude and unhelpful. They'd much rather play with their phone than talk to you. No help at trip planing or city questions. Ended up missing the bus to the park because of bad directions from staff. Actually stopped at another hostel to get the right information. There is a club a block away and people party on the street at 3am — hard to sleep. Extremely bright lights in the room without a personal light. No privacy in the bathroom or shower. Bad Wi-Fi if at all. Can't get a signal in the room which was annoying when I just wanted to book somewhere else to say. Avoid I've never given a one star review before. But I tend to be cranky in the morning if I can't sleep well and am treated rudely which was the case for my three nights here. I will say there is a woman who works there and is very nice and helpful.

Cheap and affordable hostel in ushuaia. Only downside is the uphill hike from maipu avenue. Otherwise it is an amazing hostel. Very helpful and friendly hosts n staff. Clean sheets n towels. Wodden furniture n decor. Popular amongst hikers.

One of the best hostels I've been to. Come here and cook in the big kitchen, you will make friends!

Staff speaks english & french (only someone). Well located, staff very nice and helpfull, place is safe and clean.

Definitely one of my favorite hostels to date. Sure, the layout is kind of weird, but the atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. Also, if you happen to see Josephine working behind the front desk, say "y'all" to her. You won't be disappointed.

I was a year ago and is an Excellent place to rest after a long day touring the city and its surroundings, a climate of great friendship and very well-attended by its owners.

Excellent hostel… friendly and very helpful staff… Beyond the shadow of a doubt, I would come back there… the fact that the toilets are not near the bedrooms… well, what's the problem? just walk :) Congratulations Antarctica Hostel! Carry on the wornderful job! Rogério Lehr.

THE hostel is very well located! Since Antarctica you can move to any side walk, are less than 2 blocks from downtown, 2 blocks of the presidio, near the port, and has a supermarket at the turn that lets you buy and cook to reduce expenses. Less than a block away is CHIKO, a restaurant serving Chilean cuisine with seafood pies more rich have tasted in my life!
The people of the Hostel always helpful and very well designed to cater for those who stay. They know the activities and excursions that are offered in the city. It has a well-stocked bar with microbrews and variety of drinks! They have various instruments such as acoustic guitar and Bass Amplifier, bongos, harmonica, so nights beautiful guitars are assembled!

Too expensive rules posted up everywhere in the hostel the toilets are too far away from the dorms.
