Great location, great atmosphere, the rooms are spacious, very neat & carpets clean. No regrets and certainly going back again.

The service is unmatched, with fantastic communication from start to finish. Housekeeping was always timely and thorough, and the meals were excellent throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-run accommodation.

When dining in, meals is also a delightful experience. Airport transfers are efficient and reliable. Highly recommended.

From the moment I stepped through the gates at 4 Parham Road, I felt a sense of calm wash over me. Situated in one of Harare’s most desirable residential enclaves—just a short drive from Borrowdale Sam Levy’s Village—the lodge exudes an inviting serenity. Mature trees, manicured lawns, and a blue-tiled outdoor pool set the stage for a restorative stay. The property’s decor leans toward elegant understatement: high ceilings, plush upholstery, warm neutral tones, and thoughtful touches that feel more like a gracious host than a corporate hotel.
🛏️ Room Comfort & Amenities.
My room cosy, tastefully furnished with premium fittings. Egyptian cotton bedding, blackout curtains, and individually controlled air conditioning ensured a restful night’s sleep. Coffee and tea facilities, bathrobes, and free high-speed Wi‑Fi rounded out the creature comforts. The private bathroom offered upscale amenities—each element signalling attention to detail.

Luxurious en suite bedroom with a patio that spills out onto a serene garden with an immaculate swimming pool. I always appreciate small hotels that offer gym facilities for their guests. The breakfast and supper was honestly superb with the beef and beetroot burger on Friday night up there as the best burger I've ever indulged in.

Stunning guesthouse in Harare. Definitely the best! Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms and dining and sitting areas. Beautiful bathrooms with attention to detail. Room has coffee station and aircon or fan option. Some also has outside patio. Food was amazing and really tasty. We will make this our home away from home when we travel to Harare.

I can’t speak more highly of Ballantyne’s Lodge. It was my first visit to Zimbabwe and stayed at the Lodge for 8 nights whilst on a business trip.
The whole team are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. From the moment you arrive, to the time you leave you are looked after and made to feel very comfortable. I loved the concept of the Lodge and it has such a relaxing vibe.
The breakfast is freshly cooked to order and the evening meals delicious.

I had the opportunity to stay at Ballantines Lodge on multiple occasions and it always felt like home.
First of all, the place looks wonderful. The premises are really nice and surrounded by a beautiful garden. The rooms are also beautiful. I had the chance to stay in one of the room upstairs (which included the access to a private balcony) and it was the highlight of my trip!
On top of that, the management team is the kindest. They put a lot of effort to make sure your stay is enjoyable and comfortable. That clearly does not go unnoticed and it’s particularly nice when you had a long travel from Europe ton Zimbabwe.
Last but not least, I must mention the possibility to have dinner there during your stay. I have been really impressed by each meal they propose, all of them being delicious and generous. Please praise the kitchen team for their efforts 🙏🏻.

I am a traveler who traveled and is traveling across our planet, Balentine Lodge is one of the best places I ever stayed. The setup, the location, the atmosphere, and foremost the staff and the owner Shirely. I stayed there for over two and a half weeks and the reply to all my requests was always yes and it included a smile. It was a home away from home in the true sense of it. To top it all is the food the two chefs are fantastic and the food is fresh and tasty either for breakfast or for dinner. There is only one place to stay in Harare and it's Balentine Lodge. Thank you Shirelly and the staff, I miss you all already!

There’s only one way to say it: “Majestic! ”
The staff, the lodge, the experience, everything was par excellence.
I loved the special treatment they give to their guests, as if they’re pampering and spoiling them.
I am a vegetarian, and for that, the chef prepared delectable meals, which were both tasty and unimaginable (since I never requested on what do I need to have).
They’re wise with guests.
Very quiet, and upmarket interiors.
The co-guests you’ll enjoy breakfast around are usually business people, and non-fussy.
The toiletries were fab, as they were organic and refillable (not those regular froth making chemicals).
I would definitely recommend them and would pay another visit whenever I’m in Harare.
