Positives: The location is good — 10 min walk to nearby beach but they have a small number of bicycles you can borrow for free, so just a couple of minutes cycle ride to there, or 10 minute ride to the main Ong Lang Beach. Plenty of restaurants in the area and a couple of small shops which are priced well for water, snacks, etc… Room was large and very comfortable. Negatives: Wi-Fi didn't work well in our room so we had to go to the restaurant and connect there if we wanted to do some research. We stayed 5 nights and the rooms were only cleaned every other day — they really should have been cleaned daily by the standards of other hotels in this price range, as much as you try hard to keep it clean yourself, after a day at the beach, the room does get quite sandy! The worst is that they seem understaffed and so the owners/management who do most of the service, made us feel like we were bothering them each time we spoke to them. We are very much low-maintenance guests in general so I think this was unacceptable, as just small questions or requests like: "could I have some more milk please" (for the inclusive breakfast… I would happily pay more for extra items if they just told me) or "could I have my room key please" (which we left at reception for safekeeping) were usually met with a deathly stare or rolling eyes! This was especially from the lady manager, who always seemed grumpy and about to shout at someone. She was pregnant so maybe this was having an effect but I don't feel it's a good excuse. Her husband was a bit more pleasant, but he too seemed to always have too much to do so our requests were hassle for him.
