Very comfortable and nice to relax. Well decorated with festive atmosphere. As hotel guests, we are well served with free desserts and invited to sit down at the lounge area. We like the welcome drinks. We requested again, thinking it must be charged, it gave us free. The room was beautiful and well-equipped. A big Thanks and we enjoyed so much. Will be back if we back to this area.

We are spending Christmas at the Movenpick Hotel in Hanoi and one thing that I can say for sure is excellence!
From the staff to the Christmas Eve dinner, everything was just perfect. The staff at the restaurant was amazing! I don’t have enough words to describe the friendly and caring waiters. The food was just fabulous. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are coming to Hanoi. I will definitely come back. Thank you for this experience and for treating your guests as kings/queens!

This place is so lovely and very quiet considering the hustle and bustle outside. Amazing food, equally amazing staff and nice rooms. Central enough so taxi’s are not too badly priced.

Your hotel is absolutely money for value. Your breakfast is superb with a good spread of western and locals. Your room and bed are very good. The afternoon high-tea and chocolate is the highlight of the stay. I would have given you a perfect 10 if not for the croissant which I think can be improved further and be 'the icing on the cake'. Your hotel provides free city map which is good, but I would like to suggest that you should include pictorial representation of places of interest, tourist sports, mini market etc.

Check in was quick and our special request for a high floor was immediately honored. However the rooms are showing a lot of wear and tear but it doesn't effect the comfort of the stay. Lots of electrical outlets throughout the room that does not require any adapters for western plugs and accepts the three prong ground plugs. Free bottled water daily and the air conditioning is good. Housekeeping seems a little off. Even though we hung up our towels to reuse they took them away and did not replace the towels. I had to call down to guest services to have them send up more towels. It was a little bizarre but maybe it was just an oversight. Not something I'd expect to happen at a 5 star property like the Movenpick but it is what it is.

The hotel guest services are excellent. They arranged an ambulance for me to go to the nearby French Hospital for an urgent treatment with one staff escorting me there as interpreter. Location is great and rooms are spacious and clean. Friendly staff. Foods are gorgeous. Great location at embassy district with cafe, bakery and authentic Vietnamese restaurant within walking distance. My wife and daughter love this hotel. Definitely will stay here again.

Hi, Hotel is good, the staff is so cooperative and welcoming, management was also so understanding and welcoming + cleverly attracting customers by accepting our request to offer some discount. Breakfast was great, definitely, there is more than a reason to make me come again. The only disadvantage which I don't like was the absence of the swimming pool. whish you all the best Thanks.

While the accommodation and facilities were superb, the real highlights were the terrific team at the Movenpick. We were traveling as a family and our youngest son had a severe ear infection, so we had some very disrupted nights and needed assistance organising a trip to the Raffles Medical Clinic before flying home to Australia. The lovely staff were so kind and considerate that we were still able to fully enjoy our stay despite his illness — even providing him with a fruit platter and teddy bear to cheer him up, and some chocolates for both our boys. The restaurant staff were also wonderful when my other son had difficulty getting out of a bathroom, and the buffet breakfast was voted the best for the 2 vegetarians in our party, of all of those we visited in Cambodia and Vietnam. To top it all off there was a complimentary chocolate happy hour! Luxury with a warm heart — thank you so much — happy guests from Australia.

Very friendly helpful and courteous staff. I stayed three nights during Ramadan and the hotel accommodated early breakfast at 0345am. Absolutely amazing. Also the quality of all amenities was wonderful. Very comfortable bed.

Excellent service. The room was fabulous and had all the necessary items. The breakfast was amazing the best service and variety we have had in Vietnam so far. Credit to the management and the staff. Really well done.

Good hotel. Breakfast buffet is good. The room is quite small but acceptable because this hotel is quite in the center of HN. Staff are well trained, smiling and helpful. Will stay here again in my next trip. If the lobby is designed bigger a bit, it will look more fancy for a 5star hotel but anyway that is not a big deal.

Overall Experience is good. Wifi went down few occasions and it was very slow. Excellent breakfast and the menu. Rooms were perfectly cleaned. Superb gym and spa. I will be back next time in vietnam.

The hotel is located just slightly outside of the hustle and bustle of Hanoi city and proves to be convenient and accessible. On arrival the lobby is somewhat small but acceptable in design, you'll notice that the drive in will not be suitable for large buses, where I suspect the rooms are quite limited. The rooms though are welcoming, reasonably sized and cosy enough. Showers only in my room, and I particularly liked the flooring. Bed was a little hard for me and sheets were somewhat rough. Probably should get some better quality ones with high thread counts. Gym was nice with great selection of weights and machines. Breakfast spread was average. Would have hoped for more variety. Overall the hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

To me, it's a nice renovated hotel with a French style mansion feel. It's clean and comfy. The housekeeping is excellent. Staff is polite and helpful, especially Ms. Lam. She proactively helped us a lot and gave us very useful information. She could also greet me by my name, and this makes me feel like home. The reason I gave "8" on overall experience, is actually about hotel facilities. Understand that there is a limitation of space, but somehow only 1 restaurant (I tried and taste delicious though) and no swimming pool is a bit disappointing for family trip in Hanoi for a tropical area relax.

Value for money! Good clean comfortable rooms. Delicious breakfast. Nice aromatic ambiance. Certainly stands-out compared to the other big names hotels in Hanoi. Highly recommended.

Very nice city hotel, centrally located. Rooms are clean and well furnished. Bathroom is a little small, two knubbel. But everything available and very nice rain shower. Only drawback — the beverage prices are completely inflated! Even the water is outrageously expensive and you have to buy one, since there are only 1 mini bottle of water per day for 2 persons, which is then also enough to brush your teeth. So be sure to shop away. Everything can be reached in 2 minutes!

Nice checkin process although they didn’t get round to amalgating two separate bookings I’d made as we decided to spend another night in Hanoi so our card key didn’t work, small annoyance. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable and clean. Noise From the street is easily audible, maybe the back rooms are quieter. Well equipped rooms as you’d expect with a large chain hotel. We had a shower room which was small. Housekeeping was a little inconsistent with replenishing coffee/ gave us more Towels when we didn’t need them! But as I said the rooms were very clean and comfortable and we were able To store Luggage with them whilst we were away overnight. Rates a high for Hanoi but Mövenpick is a reliable chain and you know what to expect when you decide to Choose it.

Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. I was given very clear and accurate directions as well as transportation suggestions to my destinations (both business and leisure venues). Arranging for multiple and complex car transfers was a breeze with different reception staff. No lost in translation. Impressive. Only let down was the food – so-so quality at Mangosteen but the experience was great.

Very good hotel, especially for business. Breakfasts and meals great, but don't expect true taste of Vietnam. Plenty of restaurants nearby for that. Staff were the friendliest we encountered during our stay.

We stayed there in between going to Ha Long Bay… our tour wasn't showing up to pick us up and I can't say enough how wonderful the stuff at Mövenpick was! They went really out of the way to ensure that we were not left behind! Our whole family felt looked after Thank you … best place to stay in Hanoi!

It was great! The service was excellent, just like the atmosphere. Our luggage was lost during the transit flight, the Movenpick staff helper us to arrange the retour of our belongings. Especially the blond manager from the Netherlands at the restaurant was extremely nice, we would like to thank him!

Very good hotel where we find an atmosphere and an art of living in the European. The cuisine is excellent and mixed Vietnamese specialties. The rooms are comfortable. And prices are affordable for Europeans. Can be one of the best establishments in Hanoi.

First of all, the hotel's service is good. The travel guide counter is very helpful to get around the city. Front desk is also great. The only problem is here is the inconsistent internet. They installed additional router in our room but still it's not at par. Food is okay, breakfast is just on ok level. Location is great.

It was my second time to visit there. First time was the beginning of 2017, and this time. I had an OK experience for the first time, but the second time was very disappointing. Employees were not that kind, and their service was below average. Especially the lady manager was very unprofessional. I am not saying this hotel is horrible, but I can not find any merits compared to other hotels in Hanoi; location, view, room condition, service, and extra. Maybe price and breakfast? Even breakfast got worse compared to the beggining of this year. I come to Hanoi 4~5 times a year, but I won't stay this hotel unless I've got absolute no other choices.

Was told by staff that I was not able to rest on the lounge at the reception after a long flight and was disappointed by the staffs attitude. The hotel is located near the centre however rooms are small and can find much nicer hotels for the price. I stayed at the 5 star intercontinental westlake in hanoi a couple days later and the service and rooms are much nicer with balcony waterviews and the cost is cheaper.

Stayed one week during the rainy season (October 2017). An oasis in Hanoi — a stone's throw from the old quarter without the district's hellishly acrid roadside air pollution. Think black boogers after a stroll through it's narrow, scooter clogged streets. Hard to find reliable AQI readings but working in China I can say it really is on another level. Impeccably attentive service. Everyone without fail was friendly and helpful. Huan at the door and the blonde fellow in the blue suit at the restaurant definitely went above and beyond. Breakfast is top notch. Gym is clean and not busy. Pricey without a pool but check their website for good deals. Clean throughout. Housekeeping efficent and non intrusive. Views are better on the front facing suites though the back views aren't bad. Power sockets for all types — even UK plugs. Imagine my surprise when they didn't stock movenpick ice cream! Nevermind. I will be back: they offer free room upgrades for returnees as of this post's writing. TL;DR good building, location and services. Great people. Check website for direct deals — especially since aggregate sites won't let you modify bookings downstream.

Staying 6 days. Check in today. Terrible services and staffs. 1. First day, door man said good bye to me and slammed the door when I took a taxi. I just checked in and good bye? 2. I took 1hr massage at a spa inside this hotel. The female masseur suggested me a special massage (happy ending) and I was surprised to hear. My relaxation was gone. Never use this terrible hotel again. This is the worst experience in my whole life.

Had my one night stay on the 18th Feb 2017. The room itself is nice and comfortable but that was it, my view for this hotel is tarnished from then on. This morning I answered to a knock on my room's door at about 815am and the housekeeper was standing there asking to enter the room to do housekeeping… housekeeping at 8am, are you kidding me?! I told her that I will be checking out today but not at this hour so she left. … Thereafter, recieved three conservative calls from the housekeeping department asking about housekeeping again from 8.15 to 8.30am, tried explaining to them that we yet to checkout and the checkout time stated is 12pm so we arent late on checking out. Me and my friend felt like we are being chased out of this hotel since they are so eager to enter our room to have it clean. We are supposed to leave the hotel for the airport at about 9am but we left the room at 845am due to the fact that we felt that we were being chase out by them! We spoke to the counter staff but they handled the situation poorly, explaining to us why it happened. The issue was due to that another guest had checked out of the hotel earlier on by telling the counter staff incorrectly that he/she stayed in room 503, which is our room. The main concern is, he/she definitely checked out by turning in his/her room access card just like all of us so the counter staff should already know that the room is not 503. So why keep bothering us by calls and knocks?!

Not a four star hotel material. More like three. There was no tub, carpet smelled quite a bit and no matter how many times I asked for a new iron, the steam never worked.

Arrived early in the morning and could get into the room at 9h30 instaed of waiting till 2pm! Very friendly staff and great rooms. Good location.

This hotel is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at. There is nothing that you could wish for that is not already provided. The rooms are superb, the staff are fantastic, and the management is tops. There are too many unexpected little extras to mention but, as an architect, there is one that stands out to me. In the rooms there is under-furniture lighting, so that when you go to bed, you can turn out all the lights, and there's a glow from under the furniture that allows you to move around the room without turning on the lights. This may sound trivial, but there are dozend of such little things that make the Movenpick Hanoi outstanding.

(Restaurant-only rating! ) Good and affordable lunch menu with excellent salad and dessert buffet. Quiet and classy.
