Loved my stay here… specially the breakfast & the atmosphere. The travel desk is super helpful. The only problem I faced was the floor I was assigned to. With luggage climbing upto 5th floor on those narrow steps was really a task. Location is very nice with almost all tourist places nearby…

Thank you Old Quarter View Hanoi Hostel for making my stay here in Hanoi wonderful and comfy It really is a home away from home The room is very clean and the free breakfast is the best free breakfast that I've tried ever in my 1 year of traveling outside the Philippines. Special mention to the accommodating staffs Jenny and Thu for booking my Halong Bay Tour with Swan Cruise which I enjoyed a lot! Hopefully I can visit Hanoi again and will definitely stay in this amazing hostel.

It's a really nice hostel that is in great location and has many friendly staff. Wifi access and free beer are pretty good offer. You can meet there many friendly and sweet people from all around the world. You can make sweet friends there. I do love it.

Nice and clean hostel. Friendly and caring staff. Bring your own lock for the big locker belonging to your bed. Towel is included. Nice breakfast (10 different offers).

Neat and clean, great location, nice vibe, friendly staff. We stayed in a twin private room. It was small but had everything you need. Even fresh towels every day and a balcony with a view of the city. Highly recommended!

Absolutely love this hostel. The room is cozy and the bed is so comfortable. The staffs were friendly and they even helped me rent a bike. The food is decent as well. Definitely be staying at this hostel the next time I go to Hanoi.

Great value! Clean, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, shampoo and soap provided. Breakfast was really good for a hostel breakfast. 30 min of free beer per day brought everyone together nicely for socializing. Location was amazing, right in the middle of the busy old quarter but tucked back from the road enough to avoid noise. Would definitely stay again!

Really comfy beds, super clean, showers are hot. Breakfast included, not the tastiest, but good meals. Staff are helpful. Bar has free beer for half an hour each night, so good to meet people. It's a pricer option, but the facilities are really new and clean so it's worth the money.

A fantastically clean hostel on a quieter street in the old quarter. Free beer, great breakfast, very accommodating staff. Tours are advertised at prices higher than around, but did not try to compare. Amazing bathroom facilities.

Pros: — Love the ambiance, this place is very lively! — Located at very happening area, close to weekend night market and Bia Hoi corner, but we can still sleep peacefully without any noise. They have a sign of 'no noise after 11PM or you will be kicked out by a local knight' in front of the hostel. — The bed is clean and comfortable, bathroom is well-equipped with modern design — Staff is very fluent in English, polite and helpful — Breakfast is good Cons: — No blind for bunks — The tour package from their travel desk can cost more than other options outside.

Hot shower. Free breakfast (very nice). Close to everything. Not noisy at night. Just very expensive if you book some tours from this hostel so you better go out and find any tour companies nearby.

Stayed 3 nights, amazing. Nice staff, polite and friendly. Deep in the city but down a small access ally so removed from the noise. Would come back again.

The hostel has a great location in the middle of the old quater of hanoi. The rooms are clean and the beds are pretty comfortable. Mattresses are a but old and you slide into the middle easily. The free beer in the evening is great. The tours sold at the hostel itself are very overpriced and it makes sense to go 100m to find a cheaper agency. In the 6 bunk rooms there are double mattresses which are only decided by a curtain which I didn't like.

Comfortable bed, clean and comfortable facilities. Party hostel so either get stuck in or bring some ear plugs.

Best backpackers hostels in Vietnam. Pros: Nice sized lockers, showers not connected to toilets, clean, friendly staff, free breakfast, good location, cheap beer and food. They also have CCTV for safety. Cons; several floors and no elevators. Can be difficult for some to climb to your room. No early check-in. Note: It's a little hidden from the street. So be sure to look down the alley way. Tip: Go there on the weekends. The lake area is closed off to traffic making it much more enjoyable.

Love the old part of the city it's got character and great little ships to browse and buy gifts. Also has great food places.

It's impossible to visit Hanoi and not pass by the streets of the Old Quarter. If you're looking to buy a particular item, make sure you know which street it can be found first to avoid needlessly exhausting yourself. Every street sells a particular product and is named after that product.

Clean, spacious we had a nice view of the city over the highway. Staff was very helful. They helped us on the phone with a tour booking issue and helped us get a taxi during rush hour after 3 separate ubers turned us away. They also let us keep our bags there after we got back from Ha Long Bay when we hadn't stayed there for the last 2 days.

Interesting place to explore, eat and sleep. Very charismatic and unique shops. We liked it a lot!

Lots to see and do. You know you have arrived in Vietnam when you visit here. It's all quite primative and chaotic. Lots of amazing smells will make you hungry Watch out for all the bikes. There is a skill to crossing the road. First watch for a relatively calm moment before you start to cross. Then once you start crossing, walk at a steady pace. Don't look at the bikers, don't run.

Immerse yourself amongst the busy chaos of the streets. Garbage is relatively well managed compared to other cities. There are limited to no road rules despite several traffic lights being set up in place. Prices vary greatly and it pays to bargain. There is a lake which provides a rare piece of land safe from the scooters constantly beeping at you… although very touristy! Great silk fabrics and an entire street dedicated to the selling of shrines. Locals are very polite.

A very good and clean hotel. Very friendly staff and modern rooms with western standard. Also tasty breakfast!
