Thought I’d lost my car key. Apparently girl on desk found it in carpark and gave it back. Fantastic clean facilities and lovely people. Highly recommend.

Fourth time making this our home away from home whilst we visit family in the area. Can’t recommend enough. Thanks Ladies and Gents as always.

Stayed here for one night due to work. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! Room was a great size for me and ALL my luggage ha! Great Hotel highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a room booked, confirmed in writing and pre paid, for 2 staff who were working the following morning near Leeds. They arrived at 11:20pm after a long journey from Essex. The night porter however, refused them entry, saying that he had no bookings. They tried to show him the email confirmation, but he wasn’t interested and point blank refused to allow them in. Our MD spoke to him on the phone and again offered to forward the confirmation to him, even giving him the name of the person who had confirmed the booking, but although he recognised the name, there was still no reasoning with the man and he would not budge. Our office then had to try to book alternative accommodation in an effort to avoid our staff having to drive all the way back to Essex and let our client down.
This is a dreadful way to run a hotel!

Tipical Hotel, good size room, clean, great selection for breakfast, lift a bit small but why pay for parking when you're staying? Only criticism.

Staff really friendly and helpful especially Emily on the reception desk. The room was very clean and comfortable. The stay was finished with a good breakfast.

Standard slightly older holiday Inn express. Rooms are older design but generally well maintained. Odd positioning of air conditioner directly to the side of the bed and fairly noisy at night. Window did not seal properly allowing in road noise in one room. No electric sockets by the bed for phone charging but one USB socket that did not work. Large bath towel. Standard HIE breakfast. Good value.

A normal hotel to spend the night. Nearby there is a grocery store and a couple of casinos.

I was with my wife who is disabled and needs oxygen as well as assistance. Although the disabled facilities room was unavailable, they started with a nice room. This was not suitable so they offered to move us to another room that wife felt comfortable in. The evening receptionist Parisha was extremely helpful as she accompanied us to the new room and gave us what we needed. Other staff whose names I did not get, were extremely helpful and went that extra mile with smiles all round. When the air conditioning went on the blink, John, the night receptionist was very helpful by providing us with 2 fans.

I was driving back from the North to London once in the Early hours of the morning with my family. I was so tried that I believed it would be dangerous to drive on the motorway so called a number of hotels to try and find a room. This hotel was the only one that was able to help. They provided a comfy room for myself and 3 children and even discounted the room as they knew I would only be there for a few hours. I cant remember the guys name at the reception but he was a great credit to his company. Well done Holiday Inn.

Nice selection of breakfast. Old fashioned but still modern rooms. Spacious rooms and a car park too. Lift access and stairs and same decor co consistently through out.

Clean and modern. Pleasant staff on reception. Good breakfast. A 15 min bus ride from town centre (bus stop with frequent service close by — but coming back the stop is on the other side of the main road with no pedestrian crossing in sight. ) One gripe with hotel (as with many others nowadays) : — bedding was a duvet that was far too warm. No sheet provided so we had to remove duvets and sleep under the duvet covers. There needs to be more flexibility.

Modern well maintained hotel, in (sort of! ) Leeds city centre. Service and hotel itself are good, with good access from the motorway. Car parking is cheap, only £6 for 24 hours (reduces to £4 if IHG member). Only issue is it's a 20 min walk to city centre.

Always get a good service at this hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful and the accomodation is second to none. Have been loads of times now and never feel the need to go anywhere else.

Reception staff were great… Room was fine water pressure was poor, then went for meal on second night … No first choice left… On a Wednesday? Went for second chance and got cold chips and yesterday's burger…
Just not what I'd expect from IHG.

Everything was on point as you would expect from an IHG Group chain. Check in was fast, top floor room with a view was pleasant, noise was at a minimum, bed was comfy and check out was just as swift. I missed breakfast due to sleeping in. They have a nice Indian restaurant just over the road along with a pool club. Sufficient parking is available but not sure if it's free or not. Also they have a convenience store/off license across the road. The only negative was the shower which needed more pressure but just about acceptable.

Stayed here with a large group for a Hen night last weekend. Rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good and extremely good value. The staff, especially the reception staff were excellent. I had an incident and needed another room and they were so helpful and accommodating. It's also in a great location and a very short taxi ride into the city centre if you don't want to walk. I'd definitely stay here again.

Holiday Inn Express Leeds City Centre is a bit of a stretch. It's about 15 — 20 minutes walk to the centre of Leeds. A taxi ride is about £4 — £5 though, so not too bad. The rooms are nice enough. Breakfast simple but good. Though the layout of the breakfast area is a bit weird. It's hard to find and becomes easily congested.

Nice room. Only the shower could do nothing. A lukewarm trickle. Otherwise, OK.

A quiet nice chain hotel. Everything is in good order. The lobby was refurbished since my last stay. Clean and bigger than average UK rooms! Reasonable price. But the staff is very outgoing and friendly, seems they want to satisfy their guests. I would not go there for my family vacation, but for business visitors all they need and want.

We stayed a few weeks ago, the staff is friendly, we attended a Spanish girl at the front desk. Quality Price is good but you can barely sleep by the air conditioner that is very attached to the bed and the headboard which is a material that makes a lot of noise, both things do not let rest, the toilet is old, the shower tray, if it's reformed. The room was very clean and the breakfast was very nice. The only plus is that the bus stop to go to the airport is in front. I wouldn't go back.

It's an average budget hotel. It's quite a nice place with good friendly and v helpful staff. The room itself is nice. I'm not sure which room you will go with, but we went with a basic room and it was great. The bathroom and shower — functional. Location is great, very easy walk into town. Parking was also fine. Restaurant there is good also, if you're just after a quick bite.

Dishonest cleaning staff will steal any money you leave out. Even after putting a 'do not disturb' sign outside the door, the cleaner still came in, had a search around personal belongings and then took some cash left out on the desk. Management refused to believe my account. Shameless.

Superb hotel, friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, large walk-in powerful shower, liquid soap/body/shampoo provided, fluffy towels, free standing heater in addition to air con unit, comfortable warm bed, slept like logs, tasty buffet-style cooked English breakfast, plus croissants, yoghurt, fruit juice, toast, muffins, fresh fruit, and 15 mins walk to city centre. What more could one ask? Would recommend!

Lovely modern hotel, around 15 minutes walk from the city centre. Reception staff very helpful. Breakfast very nice, both cooked and continental options included, buffet style. Room well equipped and cleaned daily.

Good location and reasonable rate for the night. Good basic but you get what you pay for. Staff both friendly and helpful. Would stay again and recommend.

Clean hotel, decent shower, comfy bed, have to shout out to the older bloke looking after reception overnight, he got us fresh towels and let us buy a big bottle of water from the fridge when it was being closed. Breakfast was a tasty surprise! Would stay again :-)

Very clean throughout including my room. Every staff member I came into contact with were kind, welcoming, helpful and professional. The rooms are basic in terms of frills but everything is there such as iron etc although you need to bring all toiletry requirements as no shampoo, decent hand soap etc. Bed was comfy and bed linen clean and crisp. Heating in room in the hands of the gods as air conditioning had a mind of its own and I was chilly despite turning the heat up. Over night the very thin duvet was insufficient and there are no blankets etc stored in the room — wasn’t minded to call for help at 3 in the morning when I woke up cold! so just put clothes on. A big let down was the food I’m afraid — really poor choice at dinner for dietary requirements — I have celiac but actually lactose and veggie badly provided for too. Had to settle for a piece of chicken that was tough and oven chips — in-inspiring and not very tasty. Breakfast choices are limited for any one let alone some one with celiac disease not enough coffee machines long ques and delays. Scrambled egg was nice. I thought that for the very basic provision the rooms are over priced as are the meals — however would go back due to the lovely staff group and the cleanliness.

Good friendly service from efficient reception staff. Room was a bit noisy with the traffic. Good restaurant options locally so would choose to eat elsewhere than at the hotel.

A good clean and reasonably priced hotel. Good facilities and close to the town centre.

Staff seems to be well trained and quite welcoming. The breakfast was quite nice and does cater for different preferences. My only disappointmrnt was that used towels were neither replaced nor removed from the room. I was, however, supplied with new towels once I brought the matter to their attention. I would be inclined to use them again.

Nothing to complain about at all. Clean, friendly helpful staff, rooms very spacious, comfortable beds, excellent bathroom. Breakfasts are excellent value, only missed having a cooked tomato. Would stay here again & again.

Lovely hotel. Nice clean rooms and facilities. Good central location. Leeds city centre is within walking distance. Great breakfast in the morning too. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good parking although this is £6 per night. Would highly recommend.

Is more than you expect. Friendly service from small, but efficient team. Mohammed was very helpful & friendly. Rooms are what you would expect from a HI Express property. Breakfast has just the right amount of choices to offer you a good meal to start the day. The simple dinner menu is just perfect, for those nights you are in the mood to stay in. The name of the hotel seems a little misleading, as it is surrounded by university dormitories, a little away from the action downtown. Great job by the team at the hotel. Nice enough hardware. Only let down was the unsatisfying response from 'Customer Care' pre-stay.

I've stayed here for the last 4 weeks it's an absolutely fantastic hotel the staff are so friendly and they can't do enough for you as I am working nights I usually struggle to sleep but the black out curtains and the air con make it very comfortable and I always have a perfect sleep I would just like to give a special mention to the 2 lads on nights Gordon and John always there to welcome me when I finish work every morning and a really big thank you to Atlanta who has looked after me during the day always there with a happy smile and she is very helpful over all a fantastic hotel which I would definitely recommend to any1

Friendly, helpful staff. Room clean. AC, large comfortable bed, large bathroom with good shower. Breakfast included. Couldn't fault them in any way. Great price as well.

Perfect room, parking a bit pricey.

Hotel has had an update since my last visit, they now have irons in all the rooms which is handy. Rooms have red sofas and feel a little more modern. Breakfast is better than some Hi Express' I have stayed in and can't complain for free. There is s TGI Fridays down the road and a Chinese next door if you don't fancy eating the hotel rubbish. Will visit again.

Very very nice; hotel is nice. I liked their spacious room and their inclusive breakfast so so wonderful.

I was there for a first aid training, so I don't get to experience the actual hotel room. The room for our training was fine, spacious, and seating was comfortable.

I stayed here for 10 days in April 2016. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was good. But I was really frustrated with the house keeping team. Through out my stay I was in the room during the day time. The house keeping people were extremely rude and were never on time to replace the tea bags or atleast to remove the thrash bags. Every time I had to call the reception requesting them to send a house keeping person to do the services. This was really a downside.

Big comfy rooms with supportive beds, can't complain and the free breakfast and Wi-Fi is very welcome. Would visit again.

Hotel was very clean and the room was spacious. Not too far fromantic the city centre. Breakfast was included in the cost of the room. All the staff were very friendly.

Not really worth the money. Premier inn is always cheaper and much the same if not better. Showers had that awful hair/face/body/dog/etc shampoo rather than the little bottles. It was fairly clean but carpets were quite grubby. £4 a pint at the bar makes you wish you'd stayed at the pub. Breakfast was very good and not at all limited as one other reviewer said.

Decent location 10 min walk from center. The staff are brilliant and always try and help out where possible. The room was basic but very clean and we'll laid out.

Stayed between 3rd and 5th July 2015. The room was great, everything in there was as should be. Clean, comfy bed. Modern TV. Tea & Coffee supplies for your stay. Not the greatest of views but if you want one of those head to the Mediterranean and not Leeds! Even though the Hotel is located immediately next to a major through road, there is no noise disturbance whatsoever. You can also get into the centre of Leeds within 5-10 minutes of walking. Easy. The greatest thing came however when I went to the reception to ask if they sold toothbrushes as my partner had forgotten hers. The member of staff on reception said, and I quote 'We don't sell them *slight pause* but I can give you one for free' and it had toothpaste included. How about that for a story of great service! Free toothbrushes for everyone! Really great hotel and would recommend to anyone and everyone. How could you surpass a free breakfast? (which is lovely as well)

Nice hotel but road noise from outside could of been better.

Room was good but a bit noisy. Showers were also good and there was aircon. Breakfast buffet was limited though.

I had chance to stay @ Holiday Inn Express Leeds City Centre during May 2015. Location is easier to find as its City Centre area. Got secured car parking and but needs to pay £5 though IHG members get discount. Receptions area is good next to cafeteria. Very helpful staff always greets with smile. No queues to check-in as staff are very efficient. Lifts provided to tale which ever floor needs and never had to queue there either. One issue I had was shower in my bathroom was leaky, had trouble as major part of water didn’t reach shower head!. It may not be that big issue, but something should have fixed. Another issue is very noisy air conditioner, also mattresses were not the best comfortable ones. My room was big and clean as well. Rooms are provided with cupboards etc. Bed is comfortable as well. Furniture in rooms was also good. Toiletries and Towels also provided. Biggest plus point of any Holiday Inn Express is breakfast included. As usual keeping good standard and enough varieties in breakfast here as well. Free Wi-Fi provided, but speed can be improved, though there seems to be an option to buy speedy internet access. Good restaurants around as well including TGI Fridays. Overall good stay, but can be improved with better maintenance of facilities.

Can't complain, you know what you're getting and it's pretty adequate. Breakfast always leaves a bit to be desired at an Express, but the price is right. And helpful friendly staff. PS there's a TGI Fridays across the road.

Great experience in a great city. The bedroom was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was good. Parking was easy and at a reasonable cost. The staff were pleasant and helpfull at all times. The taxi service they used was fast, clean, and comfortable with pleasant drivers. Only slight grumble would be price of wine at the bar. I'll be back.

The first thing what strikes me is that I had to pay separately for the car park. Other than that the price was great and the rooms were huge. Great value for money. I have paid three pounds for the one night parking on sunday but on a normal day is double the price.

Stayed in Leeds for just one night (Aug 09). Hotel was good but you know what to expect in these hotels. No surprises. Excellent value for money. I thought the hotel might have been a bit noisy being right next to a very busy main road but it was very quiet. Suggest you ask for room overlooking the car park and away from the main road. This is not the fault of this excellent hotel — but the road traffic system in Leeds seems to have been designed by someone who has never been in a car. There are too many confusing signs and roundabouts. Spent a couple of hours driving round in circles.
