Standard business hotel with no extra thrills. Good night sleep for an affordable price.

Great for a quick business stop. Not so good for a leasure break. Isloated. Nowhere to go. Can't walk anywhere from here. Drinks hellishly expensive. Just sat in my room all the time. No lounge either.

Average rooms, poor Wi-Fi, but the food was appalling. Hours wait between ordering dinner and mains arriving, and a 'steak' burger that could only be cooked 'standard' (Roughly translates to something between charcoal and inedible). Breakfast was mildly unpleasant-though the selection was okay, the fried bread disintegrated into a pile of oily crumbs on sight. Our waitress was uninterested and took 20 minutes to bring over a jug of tap water. Otherwise a wonderful experience!

I was there for a meeting and stayed just one night. The rooms are really nice and the facilities good. The bar and restaurant are good and the staff welcoming although not enough of them. All in all a good place.

Great customer service. Room was a good size and well layed out. Breakfast was good. Restaurant Food was not the best and selection poor due to menu items not being available.

Staff are great the rooms are nice and the food is always really good. We run stuff here once every 3 months and nothing is ever to much trouble. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for both business and leisure.

My family of 11 went for a meal, we had pre booked and when we arrived the table was set and waiting for us. The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating — nothing was too much trouble. Our food was excellent and arrived in good time. Thank you we would certainly visit again!

The hotel is nice but the location is not. Nothing within walking distance. Cannot be recommended unless you have business in the area. There are far better alternatives in downtown Sheffield-

What a fantastic, awesome hotel, even though we didn't get the room we we're expecting the reception lady (Michelle) and the young lady Claire behind the bar were amazing knowledgeable and very warm and friendly we will be booking again, we know the fast and furious gang live won't be staying again, to soon, but that finished the weekend for us, to see the show come back to the hotel and chat to these amazing youngster's stunt driver's females and male's thankyou for a fantastic weekend xx Jennifer and John Gagen room 214 /28th April 2018 xxxx.

Large comfortable clean rooms. Staff seem friendly. Food good but not amazing.

Warm welcome from the manager and his team. I have travelled the length and breadth of the UK and the Mercure is one hotel I look forward to staying at again.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, they have allocated room for people with dogs. I suffer with bad allergies and had no problems. Beds are amazing, so comfy. Good breakfast!

Lovely place, big rooms with comfy beds and large en suite, really clean and well presented, food is delicious and the team working here are all lovely, friendly and professional. We will definitely stay here again.

To be fair I only went in for a drink at the bar so can't comment on the hotel itself. Ok setting and not a bad beer on tap but seriously £5.30 a Pint? Possibly a contender for most expensive pint in Sheffield. Seriously people I expect to pay a bit more in a hotel bar but this is not the Ritz and similarly it isn't situated in London!

Everytime I've visited Sheffield and had to stay over, I've stayed hear. Nice and cost, friendly staff and nice facilities including a spa. Ample parking and it's just outside the city so no real risk of traffic. It's close to the A58 which is a straight drive into town and if you are staying for a couple of days and want to pick something from the shops it's about 10mins from an ASDA superstore.

In a pretty good area, nice staff, clean hotel, big car park as well. About 10 minutes away from the shopping center. They have a bar down stairs as well.

Awful customer service, will not be returning! Despite room being vacated by 10am to attend a funeral, the room was not cleaned at all when we returned that night. Dirty, wet towels were left lying around and when we asked for clean ones before going to bed, the woman on the front desk seemed entirely put out by the suggestion. In addition, we were rudely awoken at 5am by the hotel staff banging on the door, forcefully and repeatedly, because they were struggling to deliver room service to a neighbouring room and couldn't get an answer. Why they thought it was acceptable to disturb a different room at that time in the morning is beyond me, and when I fed that back at checkout the next morning, the woman on the front desk was incredibly rude and told me that someone owed money for the room service next door! Again, this was nothing to do with my room and nothing to do with my bill, but she refused to check me out or apologise for the disturbances. Awful attitude of front desk staff, terrible service and very average rooms/breakfast. Will NOT consider returning under any circumstances.

Attended an off site work meeting. Facilities were more than adequate. The dinner provided was adequate also, though not particularly special.

Easy to access location via car, lovely staff, nice rooms.

Becky at the front of house was very welcoming. The room was excellent with good sized shower. Food was great. Drink was a little expensive but to be expected.

The room was very clean and well equipped with an iron, fridge, TV, hairdryer etc. The TV had many channels and entertained the children well. The children also received activity packs shortly after arriving. The bathroom was large and contained both a shower and bath which was good as travelling with children. My bed was very comfortable, although my son slept on a sofa bed which was a bit lumpy. Room was a bit warmer at night, but the air conditioning was quite effective. The breakfast was a self service buffet and we all really enjoyed it. Breakfast was an additional cost, but the children ate for free. We really enjoyed our stay and would go again.

Pleasant enough experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The service in the restaurant is on the slow side. The staff are lovely — helpful and friendly.

A quality hotel with style, its location means good views from the rooms. This hotel is more luxurious than Ibis and therefore a little more expensive but is that bit more comfortable.

Absolutely fantastic the staff was so polite and helpful the food was to die for I would recommend this hotel to anyone Me and my husband would go again Just a couple of pics of the food we had.

For their staff and service this hotel gets 5 stars. However the purpose of a hotel and spending £100's of pounds to stay in it is to get a good night sleep, we stayed two nights in total. The building is of timber and poss steel construction, sound travels through really easy. We were above the function room with a three year old. Our whole room vibrated and we stayed up as late as we could with staff being lovely. We were offered another room but it was two single beds which were not suitable and the rest of the hotel was fully booked. As I said staff were trying to do what they could. Music stopped at midnight, but then we could here arguing and sex noises throughout the night at 6am a family upstairs were trying to get ready but we could hear their child shouting and banging (not their fault). The fault comes down to the construction. The fixture and fittings were all to a high standard. I gave one star because if the building doesn't allow you to sleep then it defeats the object of being a hotel to sleep in. A fix would be to fit acoustic matting under the floors as well as building the function room externally.

Our stay with Mecure Sheffield Parkway was brilliant from start to finish. We attended a Murder 57 event and the staff at the hotel provided a brilliant three course meal. The room was impeccable and the breakfast is very good. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay again.

Lovely hotel, very odd that all four rooms were ready when we turned up at 1, we were allowed to check in for one, but the others had to wait until 2… then as we were out at a family party when one of us came back at 1am git the room key and bed not made up. Only a taxi into Sheffield so location fine.

This hotel is conveniently located not too far from the M1 although not within walking distance of other amenities. The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. The room was tify and the free Wi-Fi good. The shower cubicle very smart. The restaurant was friendly although the food was fairly average. I had a burger which was fairly bland. The brioche bap tasted and looked more like a standard bread bap but it had a soggy bottom. The double cooked chips were nothing special, probably the blandest chips I've ever had. Breakfast the following morning was better. The bed in my room was strange in that the mattress did not fit properly on the bed base and the mattress was way way way too soft. Uncomfortable.

Does what it says on the tin… very professional staff and warm environment. Rooms lovely and clean and the on suite is spotless… aircon and fridge in your room… you can't ask for more. Ps menus and bar are also exceptionally good.

Hotel was nice and easy to find, clean and plenty of parking. Upon checkin we were told that breakfast wasn't included despite the fact that it was in our reservation. We attended the Peter Kay event at the arena and caught a taxi back. The morning breakfast was chaotic as again we were told that breakfast wasn't included so the poor breakfast staff were run off their feet as a lot of people were experiencing the same issue. This is probably why there wasn't much food out and when it was it was quickly taken by the large amount of people waiting for it. The room was nice and clean and spacious and what you would expect for this price range.

Modern, quiet rooms. Friendly and accommodating staff. Passable fitness center. Excellent breakfast buffet. For dinner, there are better options nearby. Fast and free Wi-Fi.

It was pleasantly quiet, rooms very clean and spacious, oddly ran out of lettuce for Ceasar Salad, but nice meal, expensive as you would expect in a hotel. Good breakfast. Nothing in strolling distance.

Visted for an interview, the interviewer had hired the location for the day. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly.

As a man who live one hotel to another it's a nice bed only complaint is the don't serve breakfast at 5am but you can't have everything.

Beautiful hotel 5 star service.

Work commitments forced me to spend two whole weeks at this hotel — not a happy prospect, I thought. However, my experience could not have been more pleasant, mainly due to the gorgeous staff who all went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. I was greeted with smiles and cheerful greetings by everyone, from chamber maids to desk and bar staff to restaurant staff. One young man took it upon himself to help colleagues with the issues they had with hotel internet connections, and one sweet girl even went to the chemist for me in her own time, as I needed some pain killers. I hope management appreciate and reward their best asset — the staff. I also ate every night in the restaurant and was impressed by the regular changes to the set menu — I never got bored. Well done, Mercure.

On arrival, very helpful, room very nice, very clean, service very good. On the night only one member off staff on duty and he was run off his feet and couldn't serve every one, had to wait a long time, staff said he didn't know how to use the coffee machine as star bucks didn't give them training. He tried his best to serve all customer but struggled and everyone was waiting about some went away. Felt we didn't want to ask for anything else as he was too busy. We were in room 118 and I didn't get any sleep due to a loud noise rumbling all night, sounded like a loud tumble dryer or generator? reported this in the morning, staff just said they didn't know what that would be, the noise only stopped in the morning? Breakfast was expensive but very nice with a lot of choices. I would stay here again but not in room 118 due to the noise.

A very comfortable stay. Clean, modern, spacious. The staff were refreshingly helpful and had an attention to detail that surpassed the star rating. Thoroughly recommend it.

I went there with friends and family and we all had a wonderful stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and plentiful. It was ideally placed for shopping being close to Boundary Mills and Meadowhall. The rooms were spacious spotless. If I would change anything at all it would be that they had a spa.

My girlfriend and I stayed there for 2 nights and we couldbt have been happier. Friendly and helpful staff, amazingly comfy beds and very clean. The bar is a bit expensive but that is to be expected. It is a little far out but its only a few minutes drive from Sheffield or Rotherham. Great stay.

A business hotel, so no gym, but plenty parking, friendly staff and excellent rooms. Restaurant is fairly priced and good quality. Free Wi-Fi is a bonus and is conveniently located.

Do not believe the review below, check out Tripadvisor for more accurate ones. The hotel is quite new and in a not very picturesque setting but it is very well sited for entertainment and shopping. All the staff we encountered were efficient and pleasant. The food is far from poor and if you do have a problem with your food (as we did) TELL THEM! We did and the chef could not do enough to fix our issue and compensate us for it. We saw no over-supervision of waiting staff, in fact we saw Sam the on duty reception manager wiping down surfaces in the buffet at breakfast. As for the room temperature, there are A/C-heating controls in your room to set it for yourself. The bathroom is big and posh, the bed is big and comfortable and you don't spend that much time taking in the view anyway. All in all a very pleasant place to stay and eat, highly recommended.
