We stayed here last night on first impressions the bed was huge and so comfortable and the staff seemed lovely, however through the night from 3 ish we were wide awake due to noise outside people walking past then it sounded like deliveries outside. Then we went for breakfast which was just say warm and the scrambled egg was freezing. I got up to get a drink half way through breakfast while my husband was eating he’s and a young man that was working there took my plate away, my husband said my wife is eating that but it was to late he put my plate on some others and took it away. On this experience we won’t be coming back due to lack of sleep and poor breakfast, but I will add the place was spotless and reception staff were lovely.

Gorgeous river view, big comfy bed, Wi-Fi excellent with no buffering when watching movies. Self-serve snack area in reception is very convenient but very expensive!

Booked a 2 night stay in a Superior Room overlooking York Minster. View was beautiful. Sadly the room was not what we expected of a Superior Room. Both chairs were dirty, cracked tile in the bathroom with filthy extractor fan. Bit of mould in the shower. Towels were not changed even though it was obvious they had been used, when we mentioned this we were told we should have left them on the floor and this is stated on paperwork in the room (no it was not)! Bed was not re-made. No local tourist leaflets in the room or reception area which we found strange as surely thats expected in all hotels. Not even a standard file in the bedroom with basic info … never had this before in a hotel. Breakfast was nice and friendly helpful staff.

Comfy bed. Near to City centre and lovely views of the city. Breakfast is good. Iron was broken but got a replacement in 10 mins max, great service. Would highly recommend.

Stayed in June with my husband, had a lovely time. Breakfast was lovely and was our evening meal. Staff were very friendly. & hotel was clean. Beautiful City, ideal location with a lovely walk down the river side to the center. Will definitely be returning.

Good service when I walked in. Friendly staff and decent room. The lady explained about all the covid rules and off I went. My company paid for the room so I was happy to see a shower and a bed ;)

Lovely clean room, great shower, handy for city center, great river view, really comfy bed although pillows were a little too soft. Not enough parking spaces and a bit expensive to park in public car park although you do get a discount from the Hotel, friendly staff, didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that, but we had a lovely 3 night stay and would definetly stay again.

Bar closed. Restaurant closed. £84 per night for a Slightly upgraded Premier Inn. Covid-19 blamed for the fact the this hotel probably has furloughed staff and cheaper just to close these facilities than pay the staff. Breakfast in a box in your room? Really? Funny bars and restaurants in town open. Must be easier for a hotel to restrict numbers with guests only. I was all for supporting your local businesses. Never again. I’ll just give honest feedback so no other sucker falls for it.

We attended a function at your hotel Saturday 7th March and would just like to say that the waiting staff were excellent and would just like to say that CLARE was very very good giving very individual attention to all and made the pre dinner drinks and the meal experience fantastic for us.

Complete credit to the team, even printed our river cruise tickets out for us, thank you so much. Would definately come and stay again and the breakfast is incredible very well catered for all. Very clean and friendly staff. Rooms are very nice. Appliances up to date and are of good quality. Beds are soft and high quality. Safes in all rooms is a bonus. Shower and sink area is modern and very nice. Iron board is also a nice bonus in the rooms. Location is on the canal and has good views. Near many restaurants and local attractions such as the York Minster. Would recommend to anyone coming to York!

The hotel was very easy to locate along the river which gives it some really good views for one side of the rooms. We had alot of people staying here in different rooms and everyone had very good experiences. The room was very clean and the room service kept a generous stock of hot drinks and cookies. The only downside was the TV which was awful. Most channels don't work and the TV is very slow, and doesn't even have a TV guide so you had to flick through all the channels waiting a long time in between channels to see if it was a working one or not. The breakfast was really good lots on offer to eat which is great. I would stay again.

Well positioned to everything within York. Did not eat at the hotel. Carpet and paintwork needs some attention in bedroom. Carpet felt dirty to walk on. More attention required with cleaning. Both days I stayed empty wine bottles left on windows in corridor. Room small and a wardrobe would be preferable instead of hooks. We did not think room was value for money. Ramp required outside to accommodate people with mobility issues or suitcases. Good supply of tea n coffee.

Stayed here for one night to visit York. Room was pleasant but basic (on par with premier inns) and the location was very good. Downsides were the breakfast and the parking were extra on top of the price but there was a Wetherspoons very close that did nice, cheap breakfasts so it wasn't an issue. It would have been good to be told the lift required the room card inserting when we checked in at reception as I am claustrophobic and hate lifts so to have the doors close on me and then have none of the buttons work made me panic! Other than that I would probably stay here again.

Chain type hotel in centre of York, overlooking the river. Good value for a tourist area, clean room, large comfortable bed, free Wi-Fi. Excellent 'eat as much as you can' breakfast (costs extra). Helpful/polite staff, secure accommodation for our bikes. Wasn't travelling by car, so can't comment on parking arrangements. Quiet nights sleep, despite very noisy bank holiday revellers across the river. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Good base for touring York on foot. Nowhere more than about 15 minutes away. Hotel typical of a chain. Very pleasant nonetheless. Rooms on the east side have a great view over the city and river. Breakfast pretty much the same each day but this is perhaps to be expected when guests probably only stay for a night or two. Friendly helpful staff. Secure but limited underground parking.

Well equipped room and friendly staff. There is a decent bar on the first floor with views over the river. A real positive of this hotel is its central location. Very handy to get to the main attractions by foot. There is an underground carpark which charges £12 a day, though this does have limited spaces.

Rooms are OK but the sound insulation from the windows is very poor. You can hear conversations from the street even with the windows shut. My room was next to the delivery/bin yard which meant I was noisily woken every morning at 5am by deliveries and bin lorries. Rooms overlooking the river may be better.

A good hotel in a prime location for most things in York. It's an easy walk to the Minster, National Railway Museum, riverside restaurants and the shopping. Breakfast is the normal offering of cold and cooked food, no mushrooms that was most disappointing. The room (305) was a good size, clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable and I got a couple of good nights sleep. I also had a great view of the river and Minster. I had a couple of colleagues whose rooms were on the road side of the hotel, they were woken on two nights with the bins being emptied in the early hours. I would suggest requesting a river side room.

This hotel is in a great location on the River within walking distance of the Railway station and York Minster. Hotel is a converted office block but it has been very well refurbished and laid out. Very comfy rooms and public areas, best of all is it's staff. Would recommend and certainly return. York is a find easy going place to visit.

Warm Reminder. Please be careful when you are staying in hotel next, especially staying in Park Inn by Radisson York City Centre. My pleasant trip in York during a recent holiday is ruined by Park Inn York. The hotel deducts GBP50.00 from my bank account, falsely alleging me causing blockage to the drain in the shower. They also claimed this caused them loss of revenue by not being able to rent the room out, bearing in mind I checked out on the last day of the recent public holiday. Please make sure you need to let the hotel know immediately at whatever time in the day, if it seems the drain of the tab and/ or the shower is blocked. Hope no one will be the next victim of this hotel's false allegation. This is the first time I experience this issue in my travelling histories. Hope everyone good luck.

We had a superior room and it was amazing. We had a welcome card and chocolates waiting for us and the view was great over the river. We could see York Minster. Would highly recommend.

Good location with river view. Pay extra for parking and recommend eating out for breakfast. So much to do here we need to come back! Overall recommend.

Not the best rated hotel online but absolutely delightful to stay in! The room was brilliant and clean and the location was absolutely perfect. Definitely a must for a weekend away!

My wife and I have recently spent the weekend in York and chose The Park Inn.
Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Although next time we stay here, and there will be a next. We will book a room with the river view.
Staff were very polite and helpful. Car park is small and compact. We were fortune to find a space within 10mins of waiting. It's a case of one out one in. If your a decent driver then the compact spaces aren't a problem. Can't comment on restaurant and bar as we didn't use.
Very central to city centre and all amenities. Even has a kebab shop on the corner bonus.
Can't complain. Will definitely return again and recommend.

This is nice hotel centrally located with a dedicated carpark. It has good views and a good bar with a nice selection of bar food etc. Staff are great. The rooms are big and fairly well equipped with TV and safe. Really let down by appalling pillows. Even asking for more or different didn't help. A Radisson hotel should really know better than provide such poor quality.

Expensive for the standard. Premier inn like but much pricier. Good location though so I guess that's what you're paying for.

Really nice place, very clean and good staff. Very short walk into town for shopping and food and drink. Car park is quite tight to drive around but other then that a nice place to rest your head.

Booked this 1 night for a valentine treat for myself and my Hubby. Room was lovely paid extra for river view we actually got one with a balcony. The only issue was the room was a bit cold on arriving and took a while to warm up. Food from the grill was good staff were were very friendly. Breakfast was nice. We had to pay for Parking which I think should be free if your staying in the Hotel. But on the whole had a lovely time and York is a beautiful place.

Good sized rooms with modern and clean bathrooms. All the amenities you would expect at the price range. The breakfast was good and the choice varied. Get past the rather drab exterior photos online and be pleasantly surprised for a comfortable stay.

Fantastic staff who are friendly and very helpful. Rooms clean and spacious. Wi-Fi is strong throughout the whole hotel with more than adequate speed. Food is of a high standard and reasonably priced. Location is excellent being no more than a short walk to all the local attractions and amenities. Will not stay anywhere else when visiting York in the future.

Nice hotel on the river not far from the train station 8 minutes walk if that, 10 minutes to the shambles and York Minster. The room was nice and clean we did ask for a double but got a twin call reception and they sorted it. Was good that we had to vacate the room at 12 as we where out till the wee hrs of the morning with it being new years eve and the breakfast was very nice and staff very helpful would recommend this hotel can not wait to go back.

Clean room with fantastic view of the river. Staff were excellent especially Melanie. The only negative was the parking. We couldn't get in the hotel car park so we used the discounted NCP car park but this was still £15.

Wonderful hotel located on the river. Rooms were well sized and clean — plus you could change the colour of the bed head which was an amusing touch to the room. Given York is a small city, the location was good and it is location on the train station side of the river which made the location extra convenient. Staff were friendly and the bar overlooking the river was a great place to spend some time after a long day exploring York.

Not a big fan of corporate style hotels, but I couldn't fault this one. Friendly staff, refurbished rooms with plenty of space, even had their own parking (although we were lucky to get one of the limited spaces, but they do have an arrangement with the NCP car park only yards away). There was a bit of street noise, bit you can't expect anything different in a city. Would happily use this place again.

Very good placement. Everything is near by. Nice, helpful staff. Nice modern rooms with a customizable coloured mood light around the beds head board. Provides basic amenities. Tea, coffee, hair/shower gel, towels, etc. Nice view above the second floor all around and on the river side in general.

The location is the main selling point of the hotel. The views from our room were good overlooking the canals. The breakfast is self catering but it's quite good and the staff was very warm and helpful. On the day of arrival we were greeted as if we were bothering the receptionist for showing up. Such a difference with the warm welcome we received at the Double Tree York a week ago. The room was basic with a hospital like bathroom that was in desperate need of some proper scrubbing. The TV in the room was tiny. The door that was locked to a connecting room was paper thin and we could hear everything from our neighbours (toilet sounds, coughing, talking etc). When we departed the receptionist was hostile. She refused to charge the parking to my companies bill because we were probably another Expedia customer. She wanted to charge £ 24 while it was only £ 12 that we had to pay. We paid because we had enough of all this. We will never stay in this hotel again.

Decent price. Convenient walking distance to city centre. Neat and clean. The room had all we needed. I'm not sure if we needed a safe but perhaps someone does. Heard some geese outside during the night. But none woke me up once I was asleep.

Great room, in a comfortable modern hotel. While not a compliment to the York Skyline, the Park Inn is a great place to stay. Our bed is firm with nice linens, the shower good — and has a nice place to hang clothes to dry (should you wash a few things). The room has a place to directly plug in a usb charging cord and plentiful, thoughtfully placed outlets. The breakfast buffet is fresh and plentiful — from cereal, yogurt and fruit to eggs, sausage, cold cuts etc.

Booked in this afternoon. Booked a superior River view room, for two nights with breakfast. On arrival told we had not booked breakfast so that would cost more! booking form confirms breakfast included. Then told there is a £12 per day charge for parking. I wouldn't call the room superior have stayed in much better and cheaper. Not impressed, then also been told a mix up with someone else with same surname!

My stay at park radisson in York was a very comfortable and welcome stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem for them. The rooms were well equipped beds comfortable making a short stay memorable. Would defiantly pick a radisson next time I stay away from home. I would recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel to stay in York. Beautiful riverside location and good food. Its very close to tourist destinations in York like Yorkminster, shambles etc. Make sure you book a river view room with a small terrace. You feel like in Venice in the evenings.

Great location. A short walk from the railway station. So easy to explore the city centre from here. Nice river views (we had beautiful sunny weather). The room was not large but clean with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Had an enjoyable stay and would stay here again.

Went here for a short break last Tuesday 19th April and stayed for 3 days, As I had previously stayed at a Park Inn a couple of weeks prior and was pleased with the stay, I chose this hotel for that reason. My first impression was that it was clean… good start. The room was smaller than I would have expected for a twin room, as my partner and I spent a lot of time bumping into each other, as not a lot of space to pass by comfortably between the end of the beds and the unit on the far wall. Now I am not a religious person, but out of habit, the first thing I do is hunt for is the bible in the draw… To my horror, there were no drawers… So where were I going to put my smalls? No way did I want them on display, so I thought there must be a place in the wardrobe… Double horror. NO wardrobe?

The hotel has been great. Nice room with great facilities and great views of surrounding area. Would stay again.

Fantastic location right in the city centre, and ample secure parking. Hotel is clean, and of a very good standard, with great views. Wi-Fi is free and fast. Bed was comfortable.

Was in room 325, the staff are always great and the breakfast is good with the exception of the scrambled eggs which no hotel can seem to master. The room was cold even with the heating on full, but wasn't unpleasantly cold. Showers are nice and the beds are comfy.

Nice views of the city and river, if your in the court yards rooms you have a long walk ahead of you. Rooms were clean and modern, showers fantastic. Breakfast was ok Eveyone was helpful I would recommend.

Used the Park Inn for a business meeting. Coffee and food provided were exceptional but the constant noise from outside the building was very distracting.

Attended a conference. Good facilities, buffet lunch was tasty and facilities were good.

Very pleasant stay. Easy to get to from the train station. Room was good (clean and comfortable), with great view over the river. Conference facilities were very good.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Raddison used to be up there with the best now its with the lowest. The Breakfast was cold and not fresh. The rooms were too small and the beds were hard. Went down for breakfast at 07.30 hrs as restaurant opened. All the fried food was cold, the water for the tea was not boiling but just hot, I asked if they served fresh fruit told yes, what is served is tined pulp so waste of time eating. On the plus side, the two female receptionists were excellent. Will not be staying in a Raddison Hotel again. The room cost £188 per night.

Nice clean hotel with large comfy bed and all the facilities you'd expect. The hotel is a bit of a maze to navigate though, so be warned.

Stayed at Park Inn Hotel for 4 night from 10.08.15 with a Shearing tour. Very pleased with hotel, room clean and spacious, staff friendly and helpful. Our stay included breakfast and evening meal. Large choice at each meal. Hotel situated in city center close to most of the attractions York has to offer. Would recommend.

Stayed here for mine and my wife's anniversary. Could not fault the hotel or staff would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Stayed at this hotel in March this year (2014) We loved it so much that we booked again for a couple of days ago — September 5th/6th IGNORE what people are saying bad about this hotel. As a family with two special needs kids, we have been treated superbly well, and we have nothing at all bad to say about the hotel. The service we have received and continue to receive is world class. So much so, that we are booking again for March of next year already! Don't think about it. Book it. The riverside views are amazing as well by the way.

COMPLAINT ABOUT LACK OF SERVICE I booked, and pre-paid almost $A570 for, accommodation at the Park Inn for the nights of 18/08/14 to 21/08/14. Unfortunately, by 10/08/14 it became clear that my wife needed significant medical attention and we were forced to cancel our trip. The Park Inn was notified on 11/08/14. I had hoped that the Park Inn would refund the charge less a reasonable cancellation fee as have other hotels on our trip. Unfortunately this was not the case and the Brentwood kept the lot. Be warned — this hotel is not as understanding as many other establishments.

C'ant fault this hotel. The staff was very helpfull and friendly. The room was well equiped and very clean. Very close to city center and pubs and resteraunts, well within walking distance Breakfast was very nice, from full english to continental. Will definitly go there again.
