Came here so I could watch the rugby. Luckily it was a Sunday so ordered a Beef Sunday lunch wow what a treat that was. Staff here are so friendly and nice food open fire amazing what a find, will definitely come back when here next.

From the second we walked in we were greeted and treated like friends not newcomers. Lovely comfy bed in a clean room. Then the food. AMAZING! During our stay we tried several of their dishes and every one was delicious and very large portions. The staff and management are friendly and helpful whilst remaining professional. The bar area is very inviting and well stocked and some good offers. Trying to work out when we can go again. Would love to sit out in their lovely beer garden.

What a wonderful pub. Food was fantastic, great choice of drinks and the staff were extremely nice. Will definitely be returning again.

This pub is amazing! Sunday lunch is outstanding, the staff are just so so lovely and the way they treat your dogs is another level.! They get treat like royalty, get their own dog bed, I just can’t praise you enough. Thankyou for an amazing visit. Can’t wait to come back in January for Sunday lunch 🥰

Visited this place by accident and what a find. A lovely warm welcome. We didn’t have food but what we saw coming to other tables looked lovely and everyone cleared their plates. The staff are so lovely, friendly and helpful. It’s very clean and all Covid guidelines adhered too. Very worth a visit.

Need more staff, waiting 40 minutes for drinks and then had to wait an hour for the bill. Lovely meal, brilliant views and staff lovely when we saw them. Really need more staff though.

Stayed here quiet a few times always book annex you can park right out side your door lovely place great food it's right on the cliff next to golf course with amazing views it's about a 15 min walk into whitby but a lovely walk on the cliffs very friendly staff and annex are spotless always enjoy it at whitehouse x.

Spent two nights in one of the annex rooms. Couldn't ask for more from pub accommodation. Both evening meals and breakfasts were wonderful. Great location. Would definitely stay again.

Walked from the white house to sandsend and back, thought it would be too busy to go into Whitby for fish and chips on Easter Sunday so went for the fish finger sandwiches, amazing food with amazing views.

Staff were really nice and friendly. Rooms were very clean and beds really comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Great location and views will definitely be staying again.

Never been to whitby so came for one night last night 25/8/18 our stay here was fantastic room 18 in the annex was amazing, huge, clean, clean towels lots of toiletries. Bed was huge n soooo comfy. Breakfast was lovely views was amazing staff was very friendly. We will be coming back for certain we had an amazing time. Thank you white house.

Food was incredible, all home made and delicious. Beautiful location with a view, I imagine it would be the perfect spot in the summer. Would definitely recommend.

Horrible owner who clearly doesn’t understand how customer complaints should be dealt with. Likes to brag how fantastic his establishment is and accepts zero responsibility for any failings, then attacks any customer who calling them ‘keyboard warriors’. If he had any sort of customer care, instead of the pompous attitude he seems to always take in dealing with any sort of issue from anyone who complains, I am sure both his average rating of 75 out of 152 b&b’s on trip advisor would be a lot higher. He would also find said ‘warriors’ wouldn’t be leaving such bad ratings for him. The hotel and restaurant is set in a fantastic place, only go if you can guarantee yourself you won’t complain about anything!

Stayed for one night B & B. Friendly welcome at check in. Very happy with our room. Huge, spotlessly clean, fab views to the sea. Plenty of tea, coffee, bottled water. More than enough toiletries and towels. Bath as well as a shower. Ate in the bar at night as there was a wedding party booked into the restaurant. Lovely seafood platter although the calamari was a little overcooked. Lasagne was to die for. Well priced. Drinks were however overpriced. Slept well, beds really comfy. Breakfast was a let down after the food the previous night. Bacon was dried out, watery tomatoes and mushrooms. Vegetarian option did not include sausages. Did not spoil the trip. Will definitely return.

I ate lunch here yesterday with my husband, daughter, granddaughter and our springer spaniel. The whole experience was enjoyable from start to finish. I had messaged earlier to enquire about milk free options for our granddaughter who suffers from a milk allergy. I received a very helpful response from Mia telling us they could adapt something from the menu for our granddaughter. On arrival we met Mia who again was very pleasant and helpful, as were all the staff. The food was delicious and service impeccable. We will definitely be calling again if we are ever in the area.

Very nice and very clean and the staff was very polite, the only down side to the place was the bed as it was very comfy.

We called in for a bar meal on Sunday evening just as they were stopping serving good. But they still served us and we had an excellent meal. The staff were lovely and we didn't have to wait.

Wow what a fantastic place to stay, we stayed for two nights 14th feb and had a great time room was nice and warm also the food was out of this world. Very polite staff especially colin and demi well done to all. We will certainly coming back thanks john n Christine.

Cannot recommend highly enough. A hidden gem. Fabulous views, great location with a scenic walk into town with plenty of parking Rooms are spotlessly clean and food excellent. Friendly helpful staff. A real home from home. Our second visit and we will return.

Visited this place by off chance. Good carpark with great outdoor views across the bay. Went inside and was pleasently surprised. Nice decor and attentive, cheerful staff. Choice of food was very good and a very comprehensive specials board was easily seen from our table. We ate here and quality of food very high. Will go back again. Try this place you wont be disapointed. Menu should cover all needs and dietry foods.

Great place for an overnight stay. Rooms are a bit basic but clean and comfortable. Shower was excellent and bed soft and fluffy!

Originally gave this place a nice and fair review, highly praising the location, friendly staff and the great food. When asked for negatives I truthfully said that common areas were a little tired, as was our room and that it had a slightly smoky smell, but was huge and very clean. Sadly, the hotel chose to leave a very triggered, sarcastic reply, quoting "extensive renovations" and adding "Really? Perhaps it was what you were smoking… " wow. Never smoked cigarettes or cannabis in my life, and happen to think that threadbare carpets on the stairs to our room, very old fashioned wallpaper and saggy sofas do qualify as 'tired'. Massively unprofessional response to a fair, balanced and honest review. Clearly won't go again and won't recommend it to anyone else as a result of this.

Nice place to go for food and drink. It's a little on the pricey side for my liking compared to other similar venues in the area. For example, it was £8.50 for two pints!

Just found out that the Whitehouse no longer accept pets so we have had to cancel our much looked forward to break there. This is due to a small minority of dog owners who have left their dogs in all day and they have destroyed furniture. I do not blame the Whitehouse at all, I would do the same if someone had destroyed my property but do hope those irresponsible dog owners who did this are proud of themselves. We left our dog in for 30 mins whilst having breakfast and an hour whilst having dinner and she was fine because she knew we would be back shortly. Why bother taking your dog on holiday if you are not going to spend time with them. Totally annoyed at these selfish people who have now spoilt it for the rest of us.

Fantastic place extremely polite & friendly, room 6 was very spacious and clean. We had visitors for our evening meal which was also delicious and the trip itself was very good value, we will definitely be back. The staff are a credit to their boss. Lovely beer garden with cushioned furniture, and snuggle blankets are available if you're chilly. Great sea views from the garden and restaurant. A range of well kept ales available in the bar, which is clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and pleasant.

Good food and drinks good service.

We called in for a drink and a snack. Was very pleased that our dig was allowed in the bar area although the bar area was very nice. We decided to have a ham sandwich which came with chips, salad garnish and coleslaw. I thought £6.50 was a bit pricey at first but when the food came it was very easy to see why it was this price. Very good value for money. The sandwich meal was lovely and we both enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and a very pleasant pub.

Loved the place very good crack at quiz on a Tuesday evening great fun friendly atmosphere drinks good but but dear though that' s only thing wrong with the place in my opinion…!
